And suddenly a certain death hunter was by Dakota's side. "Shhhhh!" Wilson shushed, elbowing the moon hunter. He did a double take at Saya's jacket, but decided it was better to say nothing. Then quietly he uttered, "Go Ryan go. You can do it. (´・ω・`)"

She liked watching two blondes duke it out.
A wolf whistle rang through the arena. "TAKE YOUR SHIRTS OFF."

It should work. It was--not going to work.
The air rushed out of Ryan's lungs as he slammed into the same car he had just used as a launching pad. Robert had already seen through his attack and moved quicker than the moon hunter had planned for, resulting in more of damage for his side.
"Sonuva--remind me to learn more effective attacks against you." He wheezed out, elbowing the taller man back and away. Really. He made it really hard to attack, without taking more damage than he dealt.
The sudden calls however, had the moon hunter sputter. One voice in particular standing out above the rest. Probably because he was shouting at the top of his lungs. "W-what? I can't do that!" He sputtered back. Really Dakota. Really?
And his shirt was staying on!
"Yes well. They're special." He said in reply to the 'nice friends.'

The smile became more constant as Mimsy continued to watch, leaning forward with interest, chin propped up in her hand. She felt deep regret over forgetting her notebook, but just watching was proving to be beneficial in its own way.
Her gaze didn't break away from the fight until she heard someone speak, offering terrible advice. Dakota, of course. Who else.
Because she was such a good person, she took the high road and lifted one hand to delicately wave at him, even if he was intent on ignoring her.

Robert was grinning from ear to ear when he asked that, and he backed off, giving Ryan a minute to breathe. "I ain't giving you tips on bringing me down, bro! You just gotta keep fighting me some other time and find them out." Until then, he ended the fight as quickly, and as cleanly as possible - Jezebel's blunt side came up to bash into Ryan, slamming him back onto the car one last time and destroying what was left of his shield in the impact.
And just like that, she was proven right again.
Robert desummoned his weapon immediately, and laid a hand on the guy, patting his shoulder gently. At least this time he'd ended the fight without needing to knock his opponent out - and that made him feel good about it.

Dakota saw the delicate wave of Mimsy hand and flipped her both the birds.
As well as a Sneer.
And while he did that Robert somehow managed to take out his brother.
Well s**t man.

A moment later, Robert turned to give Mimsy a proud smile, but that smile froze, and then faded, when all he saw was Dakota flipping her off for no apparent reason. His fingers tensed around Ryan's shoulder without meaning to, as an easily risen rage boiled over within him. "Dakota." Robert's voice did not raise in pitch, but it boomed out over the field, enough to get the message across. "Put them fingers back where they belong before I take them home as trophies." The momentary breather was welcome, as was the advice. "I could do that." Though when Robert slammed him into the car again, Ryan winced. "Or I could just take Dakota's 'helpful' advice next time." He added, contemplating the thought. Not that he actually would deliver such a low blow. Maybe.
However, with that last attack, the match was decided. Locke was already warning him in his mind to end it now.
"Your match." He said, holding up one hand and dismissing the pair of gauntlets. "My shield's down." He said with a grin. To be honest, he had no regrets for losing to the older hunter. If anything it just told him he needed more training and experience.
Though before he could say anything else, Robert's fingers tensed on his shoulder, causing Ryan to follow the life hunter's line of sight.
"Err, what now?" He asked, looking back between the two hunters, having just missed the pair of birds.

"Oh, Dakota," Mimsy mockingly sighed, shaking her head. "You would be much more content if you could accept reality."
Her attention returned to the spar - or the end of it, at least - and she smiled towards them. It always felt good to be right. Again.
"Like the fact that my dog is simply better than yours."
The proud smile she received was quickly returned, and she beckoned with one curled finger for Robert to join her. If he wanted Dakota's fingers as trophies, she had no intention of stopping him; she just wasn't getting her own hands dirty this time. It was probably even possible to synthesize formaldehyde here, but there were other options if the materials were lacking.
Mummified middle fingers. A short, cheerful laugh escaped through her excitement at the idea.

Ryan made him look back, and his hand retracted quickly, flinching at the sudden realization of how tense his hold had become. He gently patted Ryan's shoulder to make up for it, and gave him a regretful smile. "Sorry. Dakota was flipping some birds, and I don't take kindly to it. I know he's your friend, I'll try not to rip his fingers off." He said all of this with a small, but genuine little smile. "Thanks again for the fight!" He called out, already jogging away to come at Mimsy's beckon call. He stopped just before getting to her, gave Dakota one last, careful look, before moving to sit where his body obstructed their views of each other. Problem; solved. "You were right again, sugar." Robert grinned childishly at her. If he had a tail, it would be wagging. "I promise I'll never doubt anything you say, again. So the real question is, what's your prediction for the next one?"

Foots flinched at Roberts loud voice, almost turning his attitude to the life hunter. He'd feel so much better if he could take all the underlining hate and frustration out on the bigger man but let's be honest....Robert was just another one of Mimsy's pets and for now, he would leave them just at that. At Mimsy's comment of calling Ryan his dog, his smile went from a deadly sneer to a almost cheerful smile. "Ryan is not my dog Mimsy. He's my brother." And he wouldn't let her try to dirty a friendship like that. Swinging his arm around Wilson, he took his other brother to Ryan and sighed. "Good fight man." He held his hand out for Ryan, "sorry that you lost bro. At least you made it tithe next round." Because Wilson and Dakota sure hadn't. Think of it too...."Saya lost her fight, wanna go return this to her?" He held the moons jacket to Ryan. nio love can u let nyet know I tagged. Super hard on phone.

The response was as Mimsy might have expected: determined in its emotional attachment, full of conviction and claims contrary to her own. This wasn't very fun when the other players refused to make the game interesting. It was like playing chess alone. "Ah, excuse me. I must have forgotten how siblings work. Enjoy walking your sibling," she called after him, waving goodbye. Poor, inefficient Dakota. He still hadn't learned that they could be trained to come to you, apparently. She gave Robert a pleased smile as he sat next to her, which began to drift towards smug when he mentioned that she was right again. There was never any question. Of course she was. Of course he would win. "Congratulations. That was quite an impressive battle." She tipped his chin up and rewarded him with a quick peck of a kiss. "And what a good promise! You grow more clever by the day." With a crooked smile, she pat him once on the head before folding her hands in her lap again. "I predict that you will be victorious, regardless of the outcome. You'll see."

Robert felt the pull of distraction when Dakota and Mimsy bantered, and he turned once more, even as she waved him away, just to look at him. There was a whole lot of real confusion in his eyes. His attention swiveled from one to another, several times, trying to figure out exactly what was going on between the two.
Mimsy pulled his attention back, and kept it there successfully. He sucked in a long breath, and let it out slowly, as any worries he'd been holding on to ebbed away.
"I believe you." Robert murmured, his voice thick and lazy. "Thanks for coming to watch. I'm not real proud of the fight itself, but it feels better knowing someone's out there looking out for me." He pushed himself to sit side by side with her, and reached his arm around, wrapping her up in it. "This tournament's more fun than I expected. I wasn't even gonna join 'till last minute.. glad I did though. Real glad."
He wanted to ask her what the deal was with Dakota. The animosity between them was palpable. But he thought he could guess the answer, and decided he didn't want to know. Being in the dark was so much easier.
