The breath Kilian had been holding finally rushed out as the hands holding his daggers fell down to rest against the ground. He nodded at the question and took a deep, refreshing breath, willing his heartbeat to slow back down to normal. Sitting up his gaze darted over to Kadryn and he couldn't help but smirk. "What the hell was that?" Kilian moved his daggers back into the sheaths and pushed himself up off the ground.

"Been a while. Nice moves you've got there."

"No problem," Kilian responded to the apology as he dusted the sand off of his clothes. "I should not have been so ready for a fight myself." He glanced up at Kadryn and smiled warmly, glad that the fight was finally over with. A friendly face at the end of it. "My home is near. My...mate as well." The word was still new to him. Still fresh. Kilian didn't mind it, though. In fact he cherished and held it close to his heart.

"How long are you here for?" The question was out of Kilian's mouth before he could stop himself. The last time he had seen Kadryn had been in the caves with Alpha. He hadn't had time to stop and talk to her. Surely things had happened in their lives between their first encounter and now. "I could go for a drink if you want to join me in the city."
