Acanthite nodded, slowly, willing to take his apology readily since he seemed so nice otherwise. Buddy's flowery words reached her favorably, as well, because she felt she needed some encouragement in dealing with her stellar quandry. She liked that he put it that way, too - stepping above and beyond her past.
A smile returned to her lips and she nodded once. "It will make me stronger against them, I think," she decided. "Knowing what the past held, so that I know precisely what I need to do better in the present. What's that saying, 'those who forget the pasta are condemned to reheat it'?" Acanthite laughed at the joke. "And maybe it'll illuminate for me just what they all cling to so tightly, and how best to break that bond to help free them from their pasts, too."
Clearly cheered up, the girl twirled around on the toe of one boot and curtseyed slightly to Buddingtonight again. "Thank you for taking the time to chat with me."

The moment she smiled, he felt a great weight lift from his shoulders but he did his absolute best to refrain from letting out that sigh of relief, not at all wanting her to mistake what he had just said to not be genuine. Because it was genuine, in his own little way, even if at times it made him look, and feel, disgusting at times. It was never his intention to insult her, and his own smile was true, as he took in her statement and admired the new resolve that was there. Maybe it was his ego getting the best of him, but even if he had not been the one to help put that thought in her beautiful head, then he'd still find it in himself to be proud of her.
"That's the spirit, Acanthite," Buddingtonite said, his never once fading and only hoping to fan the flames of her resolve and ambition. Perhaps he failed in being the recruiter that he once aspired to be for the Negaverse, but perhaps he could be a cheerleader, or maybe their public speaker? Boost their morale whenever their performance was threatened? It seemed like a worthy endeavor. Even if he was a failure, he could at least make others not feel the same way, right? He kept these negative thoughts to himself, instead thriving off her positive energy with a smile. "Once someone sheds a little light on their past, that'll help weaken whatever shackles that old Moon hag might have on them and they can all be saved. And those that can't? Well... there's one way to guarantee that they won't repeat their past mistakes, right, my dear?"
He made the cut throat gesture with his hand, flashing her a wink to give the impression that he was only joking should the thought of taking such actions bother her. Leave the dirty work to the more blood thirsty ones, he thought, before straightening up. He rather adored her curtsy and hoped he didn't come off as too perverted as his grin deepened, tipping his hat to her and giving her a polite bow. "No, the pleasure was all mine. I always like meeting up with my fellow officers and I think you and all of your kind that have joined our ranks are just... fantastic to have. Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise, alright?"

The dark senshi laughed once at Buddingtonight's killing gesture, though she knew inside that she was not yet willing to actually strike a fatal blow. Though, Acanthtie was in a war now, and she had to wonder if the time would ever come....
For now, though, her spirits were lifted, and she had made a new friend, it seemed.
"Thank you," Acanthite told him with a smile. "I won't." [quote="ChibiGingi](( and I think we're done with this one? thxu for RP~ ))
