Oh god. Jason cringed when those nice clean boots got covered in the mud. He knew well enough that some women loved shoes with a passion, and those looked quite expensive. He then flinched when he was hit by a rather powerful attack by Saya. He in return lashed out with his sword, bringing it down on her other shoulder. He then stood back and saw how...sad she looked. It must of been the shoes. "E-er..." He said awkwardly while scratching the back of his head. "M-maybe we could replace them?"
He was probably right.

As if he couldn't feel any worse, a voice from afar made him flinch and look towards Dakota, absolute fear in his eyes. Great, now he had a hunter wanting to beat him up. Yes, he should just stop now, totally should throw the fight and let Saya go on. "Hey, Saya-" he began, but his foot got caught in the thick mud, tripping him back into the mud, his sword flailing wildly about in the process. Meanwhile, Saya just thought Dakota's hand movements were encouraging hand movements.
Jason hiding in the mud gave a large opening for an attack though.

The hand movements indeed were very encouraging to Jason Very encouraging to stay in the mud and let Saya attack him for a while. Because he didn't want to die. Zanth meanwhile pondered how hot Dakota would look if he was covered in mud as well. Because daym, that a**. HP: 11 Damage: -

The mud almost had him, but he decided that he didn't want to hide in the smelly mud anymore (plus he couldn't hold his breath for that long), and he would...find some way to apologize to Dakota. So with a burst of energy he jumped up with a burst of energy, swinging his sword to strike home. Although, he probably shouldn't have swung that hard. "S-saya?!" Ohshitdidhehurther? It wasn't a lie to say it hurt. There might have been tears on her face, except now it was streaked with mud, too much mud to see. She had fallen into the mud, now popping up as a small brown entity. She tried to regain her composure, her minds immediately focusing on the thoughts that had been on her mind all along during battle.
It had nothing to do with the battle result, coincidentally.
"Good.""
Good? Prompto echoed, a little confused. He had no doubt Jason was too.
"Now I can get out and take a bath, and take off this mud--" Her tone had a rare vehemence never heard before. It was a gentle tone, muttered slightly, with all the anger of a riled chipmunk, with the way her cheeks were puffed out. "Dakota, I t-think my coat is better left with you.."
And then the small brown sludge trudged to the deus shower rooms.
She did promise Charlotte that they would slave over the problem of her shoes later. Unless Edith or Sam knew a magical way to fix it. Q_Q
