Leo gave a curt nod, not exactly having anything to add to his sentiment but for the pilot’s sake he certainly hoped he’d get the hang of it. There was a lot that the man was going to have to get used to; food sources, temperatures, habits… there was no telling how his Raeven would come out. They were all different, all with different quirks and needs. Trox at least seemed to have experience with pets unless Trigger happened to be a very well-mannered stray, but there was still a lot he would have to grow accustomed to – and quickly.
Ethiriel’s curiosity peaked when a nickname was given but the question itself was questionable, her expression blanking just a little with raised brows. Her grip on Leo’s arm shifted, one hand gently resting on his shoulder.
Leo’s expression mirrored Ethiriel’s surprise, mouth hanging open just slightly, eyes resting under lifted brows but even still he managed to look bored. He shook his head, shifting back into neutrality. ”No,” he said, adjusting his arm to accommodate Ethiriel, ”she was just completed before coming into my care. It’s not normal protocol for the Lab but maybe they wanted to see how it would work out – completing a Frei before giving her a guardian.”
He wasn’t sure exactly why Ethiriel had already been born before coming into his care but he actually was thankful. She remained linked to his arm, staring at nothing in particular while the matter was discussed. Ethiriel still remembered the day she met Leo and Zeke, and by extension, Anya. She was still learning and growing accustomed but her guardian was making sure she was comfortable, never hungry and never displeased – she was eternally grateful indeed. While the question had been asked to her, she was content with it being answered a bit more properly by someone who understood the process just a little bit better than she did.

"Ah! ah-ah I see... I was worried there that they didn't screen well enough, yenno?" Troxel huffed a relieved laugh and gave a tiny shrug, nodding and rubbing his arms, trying to keep his muscles warm. He gave Leo and Ethiriel a winning smile.
"Yenno, it'd be nice to have a few people in th'community to call on when I actually take guardianship? Or even after I find a soul or somethin'. Mind if I take your number? Or d'y' have a card?" Harrison patted himself down remembering he didn't have his wallet or phone on him. Running meant ID and keys only. His iPod Shuffled would be of little aid to him.
Trigger padded over to where Ethiriel stood, sniffing her ribbon, tail wagging softly before giving the floating object a lick.

The statement was rather odd and with little context it was a bit confusing, though Leo was able to put two and two together and offered a small nod, but didn't exactly pay the idea much mind. He wasn't sure how that kind of thing would have worked in the Lab, he'd possibly have to ask Zeke about it next time he got a chance to see the raver. Each little movement that Trox made, whether out of awkwardness or chill, were noticed by the photographer and it made him wonder if the pilot were truly comfortable in his position.
With his next question Leo faltered, uttering a quick, quiet "oh," before offering Ethiriel forward, toward Trox, so that he could pull out a scrap of paper and a pen. He never really carried a card despite how decent an idea it was, instead opting to write it out each time someone needed his information. Trigger went unnoticed by Leo, but not by the Frei, who offered her hand down for him just before she was offered away, instead extending her hand toward Harrison expectingly.

Trigger followed the sweet smelling Frei, panting slightly and wagging his tail all the while. The hand was a promise of head scritche and then she was moving. So he moved too, tags jingling and Ethiriel just smelled so good. Soon the Shepherd plopped his rear down and continued to lap at the ribbon.
Harrison watched Leo placidly, hands stuck under his armpits against the slight chill. Then his eyes flicked over to Ethiriel. Why was she floating towards him? The pilot quirked an eyebrow, crinkling his face slightly. "Oh, hey there?"
He flicked his eyes back over to Leo trying to catch his eyes, panicking in a 'oh lord what do I do now?' He contemplating giving the seemingly blind Frei space. Then the scene of that course of action played out on his head- drastically. Might have involved the green clad girl finding her way into traffic- Oh god no. Harrison gently reached out a hand to Eth's outstretched fingers, arm fully stretched.

Unfortunately for Trox, Leo was already busy to work on finding a scrap sheet and didn't look back up, though it was obvious he was offering the Frei over so that she didn't have to float without a marker. Once she was taken away, he managed to find everything all right and began scribbling down his phone number, email and full name.
Once Ethiriel's dainty fingers met Trox's, they had set to lightly tracing up his palm, wrist, arm and eventually found his shoulders and neck, cupping gently as she gave both of his cheeks a small peck, hardly even an inch away from his own lips. Pulling back, until he adjusted her she left her hands on his shoulders, eyes staring idly forward at his chest with nothing to focus on. "It is a pleasure to properly make your acquaintance, Sir Harrison," she announced, a gentle smile on her face.

Yeah. Not expecting that. Harrison's entire body tensed, face scrunching, eye clenched shut, he tried his best to lean away but Ethiriel managed to get into his face. When the Frei's lips met his he lost it, shaking his head after a beat. This was too much, he had been working personal space with this therapist before he ditched that thread. "Wooooaah..."
Harrison choked and sputtered, using both hands to move Eth to the side, spinning her slightly so that she was facing Leo, an arm still out to keep her stable. A few breaths then he looks back over to Ethiriel.
"Hey, Eth... Yeah, nice to meet you too. Y'kin jus' call me Harrison. No sir needed anymore," Harrion wiggled his fingers and cleared his throat.
"Hey, Eth? I.. I've got this thing with uh. I am just getting over a very scary experience. A little warning next time?"

As she was spun around, Ethiriel's eyes widened and her mouth hung open in surprise, suddenly feeling disoriented as her hands ripped away from Trox's shoulders. Unsure of what to do with them they hovered over her chest, palms downward, and despite her shoulders being held she felt a bit lost without something to hold onto.
Leo's attention was grabbed at this point, watching with furrowed brows and focused eyes. His hands ceased their movement, both from having finished but also from paying attention to the man holding his Frei away from him and he automatically reached for Ethiriel's hand, coaxing her out of his grip. The look wasn't scathing, just surprised and unsettled, but he kept his eye on the pilot while looping his arm back into the Raeven's, who gratefully accepted and latched herself to the photographer.
"My sincerest apologies, Harrison, I did not mean--"
"Don't worry about it, Ethiriel. I'm sure he understands." Leo's tone had returned to a near drone, all amusement having left him. He didn't blame Trox in any form, everyone had their different ways of reacting to Eth's usual greeting, but he'd never seen anyone react like that and chalked it up to his retirement; after all, a 'scary experience.' The Frei nodded, bowing her head.

Now he felt like a jerk. Harrison watched, eyes wide and biting his bottom lip. Looking over to Leo. No. No he did not understand. He kept his brow furrowed, glaring slightly at Leo, in confusion. Shaking his head in 'no' and giving a face of inquiry. He returned his hands back to his armpits and tilting his head.
"I- I don't. Can you explain the "getting to know you"-kiss bit. I'm lost," Harrison then looked slightly apologetic, he dropped his arms and looked both ways down the running path, "Sorry Eth, H'was shot at durin' my previous job an' h'm gettin' over it... Slowly."

The glare, even if it was one of surprise, made Leo's brows furrow just a bit more, resting heavily over his eyes. After a moment he cleared his throat, taking a glance toward Ethiriel's still shocked expression and allowing his to become neutral. He exhaled, glancing down at the dog and then back up to Trox, pocketing the pen before handing the sheet of paper over. "She kisses everyone's cheeks. Always has. She greeted me the same way," he said plainly, even the slight aggravation in his voice gone and he merely sounded bored. "I don't know where she got it. She's never seen anyone do it, obviously. She just... always has. Kind of like the way the French greet, you know?"
Once the Frei's expression simmered, she took on a more passive look; her eyes downward cast, lips a gentle and thin line beneath her nose. Her hands hooked together just below her chest. When being shot was mentioned, she closed her eyes gently and her brows furrowed subtly, the memory of Rivener saving her from what warehouse suddenly playing. Her wing had been clipped by a bullet when they escaped, and while at the time she had no idea what had happened it was later explained and she felt for the man."I do apologize, it will not happen again," she assured, opening her eyes once more - though they didn't focus on anyone or anything. She offered another bow and Leo sighed, glancing at her without turning his head.
While the mood seemed to sour, much to Leo's regret it was getting late and things were needing to be taken care of back home; this had meant to be a short run, just to get his blood going and for his daily exercise, and there was a lot of work to be done on his behalf.
"Not to leave on the wrong foot, but..." the photographer said, tapping his watch lightly. His voice was a little bit softer, nearly apologetic, but his face read the same neutral tone it always did. Ethiriel remained with her eyes down and her expression gentle while she offered another bow. "You have my number so, uh... as a guardian, if you need anything just call."
