Teshy and Usturith HP: 37 Agility: 3
Threadfall was a chore rather than anything Teshy was particularly interested in. Sure, the Wherholders kept the dragonriders around almost solely because of their ability to fly Thread, but Teshy didn't exactly brook with that sort of thing. She would have much preferred to be out making a difference. And though it was insisted that protecting the Wherholds was exactly that...well, Teshy wasn't sure she agreed.
Usturith certainly didn't. The green was rumbling to herself, eyeing the other dragons and snorting as she sized up what she viewed as her competition. Still, she kept quiet. And when the silvery filaments began to fall, she was on the move.
She wasn't one of the great bronzes or silvers, belching long, sustained flame and searing everything out of the sky, but she was quick, and she dove among the larger dragons, twisting to sear anything they may have missed.
The sooner we're done with this, the better, she rumbled, already feeling the strain of listening.
You're fine, pretty girl. Keep going.

Teshy and Usturith HP: 37-4 = 33 Agility: 3
The bite of Thread into Usturith's wing made Teshy shout in alarm, but the green blinked between without so much as a second thought, reappearing a moment later and snorting.
Only clipped me. We're fine, Teshy. She growled, a deep, self-satisfied sound, and twisted her head back for more firestone.

Ja'kki and Emerath // Burn Post
Ja'kki settled her goggles on her face and tightened her straps. She, like her teammates, didn't survive as long as they had by shirking on their safety. A flickering thought was sent out to the ghosts of V'i and L'roh. It hadn't been through their failings that they'd died.
She turned to sight each of the other Bolts before Emerath took them into the air with the rest of her wing. ~ Are you sure we're ready mine? ~ Her eyes whirled yellow as they appeared in the air, waiting for the silver curtain to reach them.
We're ready baby. We're never unprepared. Now Go! Ja'kki urged the green forward as Zenith Wing moved.
~ Oh! ~ Emerath was startled into flaming early as she rolled away from the very first clump to come their way.

Jareth HP: - 46/47
After quickly returning to formation Jareth dived towards a thick clump of thread that seemed to be headed right down towards a green and her rider below them, had it been a Gold Jareth might have been tempted to leave it for them to flame with their measly man made flaming machines but it was a green, a fighting flaming dragon and as such deserved to be warned to keep an eye all over the place for Thread but perhaps getting slightly singed.
He belched a short burst of flame, enough to sear the clump but not so much that it would hit the rider.

Jareth HP: - 36/47
However as he was diving to flame the clump from the sky he didn't see that another stray clump had been blocked from his vision by a dragon who suddenly went between to avoid it, leaving it heading straight at G'nar, who ignored the pain at first, not realising it was Thread, thinking maybe he'd been caught by a stray flame, giving Thread time to go fairly deep before Jareth felt G'nar's pain and went between himself to rid his rider of the dread strands.
G'nar, Mine! are you alright? ... can we still fight? he asked of his rider, concern coloring his tone.
"It's just my arm and shoulder, i've had worse from felines" G'nar replied, it hurt like hell and another couple of hits like that might take him out of the fight for a bit but G'nar wasn't about to let that stop him doing what he was meant to do. "It's more than a feline scratch Mine but we return............. this is going to sting G'nar hissed as they emerged into the warmer air above Benden, the heat from the flaming dragons making the threadscore throb painfully but G'nar could put up with a lot of pain, he gripped the saddle tighter as they gained their position again, taking care to keep a better eye out for rogue tangles of Thread.

Luka and Lophorinth // Burn Post
How do I look? Luka preened in her custom leathers, admiring their unmarred surface. It was a pity they'd probably not come out of today in the same shape.
Gorgeous! Lovely! A feast for the eyes! There could never be any as wonderful and attractive as mine! Lophorinth bugled and tossed his head with pride, flashing the bright patch on his chest.
Heeeeyyyy speaking of pretty young things... Loph trilled and whistled at the next wing over Poecileth! You are looking particularly bright today! Whats say you and I go find ourselves a cozy patch of sun after all this is said and done? His eyes whirled a delighted blue even as he turned to flame.
Eye on the prize dear. Luka reminded him.
They're ALL prizes Mine! Even as he said that he blinked between, feeling the first burns of thread against his hide.

Luka and Lophorinth // Damage Post
Careful! Luka hissed as they came back from the cold between. She herself was unharmed but a glance over her shoulder showed bright flecks of ichor trickling down Lophorinth's long tail.
I hear scars are in this season!

Crimson Mirath Agilty: 0 HP: 56/59
Mirath wasn't the only one to be Threadscored today. As she watched the skies above, she saw dragons here and there blink between and reappear with ichor dripping off their hides. Still, others blinked out of sight in time to completely dodge incoming Thread, and a few strands that were avoided in that way headed down towards Mirath. With a flick of her wings she swerved towards them, angling herself so that Lia's flamethrower had a clear shot at them.

AcriculethAgility: -2 HP: 44/58 At least they weren't the only ones taking a beating today, their wing members were suffering too. Acriculeth observed to his rider as they banked towards another heavy clump. A'nos replied, amusement tinging his mental tones as that healer 'girl' was ten turns or so his senior.
the bronze replied dryly.

Acriculeth Agility: -2 Damage: 7 HP: 37/58
Neither A'nos nor his dragon believed in things like jinxing but a moment later they almost could. Acriculeth gathered flame to take down the big clump they had been heading for but a stray gust from another dragon's wings sent another clump pinwheeling towards them, right into the bronze's flank. Acriculeth's flame died out as he roared in pain which meant that the tangle he had been flaming at was now heading right for them too.
Acriculeth disappeared before the second knot of filaments could strike them but the first had done damage enough.
the rider observed as they reappeared.
Acriculeth, usually so cool and collected, merely growled.

[Malta and Poecileth HP: 35/35 Agility: +1 Zenith wing] Poecileth did not like thread either, but Lophorinth's attitude was always cheering. Also, the compliment was welcome. She winced as she saw him blink between and out, Malta almost smiled.
Poecileth turned to flame a clump, another dainty stream of flame.
Malta nudged their attention towards Acriculeth and A'nos. She had heard the bronze's roar and had figured that could not be good.
said poecileth, dodging with a quick banking turn that surprised even her. How on Pern was she managing not to get hurt this time? Not that she was complaining!
<Acriculeth, how are you doing?> she asked, concerned.

said Rotatonth, resuming her position in the wing,
Rotatonth said,

Jareth HP: - 36/47
G'nar was all eyes, while Jareth flamed what he could see G'nar was watching for other potential dangers, each concentrating on their individual tasks but both working together in partnership. Jareth surged forwards towards a thick tangle, wanting to destroy their age old foe for good, but settling for getting as much as he possibly could until there was no more left in the sky.
His flame strong and bright but due to the nature of the tangle it twisted away as he seared and he only caught about half of his intended target before it dropped out of range of his flame in the formation he was in. Thankfully there was none headed towards them this time, they were free to look around for more in range of their position in the fighting wing.

S'aak and Anferth HP: 59 Agility: 0
It was comfortable, flying under a blue. S'aak liked the feeling of taking direction from a rider who had been chosen by virtue of skill over hide, and as he fell into formation and waited for the beginning of the Fall, he reflected briefly that it was right, what the wherholds were doing. This was how it should be.
Anferth, fidgeting under him and casting wary eyes to the sky, was more grounded. Yes, very philosophical, S'aak, he murmured, but his attention was already on the sky. And as soon as Thread began, the brown was moving, surging upwards, twisting to belch fire at a clump as it passed him. The wing had shredded through the first wave, only a handful of dragons seeing any action, and as Anferth deftly twisted out of the way of the falling spores, S'aak took a moment to cast around.
Everyone was flying well. They'd be done in no time.
