Sauron had all his collection stuffed into his arms waiting expectantly for Takoda. "It's quite alright, I understand, I myself have trouble sometimes keeping my collection where and how I want it, they usually find the right jars its just finding the jars afterward that is the trick." Sauron winked at him..."Wait, what was that?"
He eyed his surroundings, he preferred Radaku to all else and ate bugs not accepting them as a suitable pet for himself, but rather tastey when other foods could not be had. Made good soup.

The thing he had thought he had seen in the furthest corner of his home moved again, and this time he new for sure that there was something there. A nondwa came out of the corners of his home causing the poor shifter to jump, it was just Zuko..the one he had rescued a long time ago the strangely friendly large moth bug creature having now stuck around since that incident despite his obvious lack of love for the creature. Sighing he tried to push it aside, "Its a nondwa, I ...helped it when there was a storm when I was younger. Now it won't leave me alone. I am..not particularly fond of insects..so its presence always startles me when I see it." He managed to say as the bug creature used its large wings to flutter around Takoda before going to examine the new comer. "If you ignore him I am sure he will get bored and leave us alone. Come on, the table is just over here." He managed as he walked over to the indicated table before he went to dump the contents of his satchel onto it. The table was a bit dusty and it made his heart ache slightly. This was his home for so many years...he rather missed the familiarity of the place.

Sauron swallowed a bit, he too wasn't overly fond of bugs, but he was able to relax a little more when he was able to focus on exactly what creature this was. He sidled over to Takoda and the table and dropped his catch of medicinal supplies. Together they had amassed quite a bit and it made him smile. He truly loved collecting plants, specially those so well behaved as moss. He was less fond of the real prickly stuff used in medicine. "Oh!" he exclaimed excitedly, "I haven't seen that particular red moss for a whole year, congrats on finding it!" Rare things like that were always a delight to find. He should start keeping a journal on where and when they were found. "So, If I wanted to set a broken leg how would I do so? With which poultice?"

Takoda knew the nondwa was not the most terrifying of Jahaur's insect monsters, but it was still a bit of a nuisance to have around. Looking over at the items they had gathered on the table his face blushing slightly at the compliment at him finding the red moss. "Ah..yes it is hard to find, the weather conditions have to be just right and I know of one other place it tends to grow all year round due to how damp it is. But its dangerous to get there as you have to cross menzuri territory." Takoda mentioned as he shifted to get a better look at the items they had acquired. There were many things to help reduce fevers as well help with rashes. A good haul. "Well you would fix have to determine how bad the break is...and then..in a worse case scenario have to set the leg by breaking the bone again. It can be very horrible..so numbing the pain is the first step. You can apply a numbing agent around the leg but...its best to give them something heavy to knock them out. This mushroom here, in large doses can make a person feel nothing. But...if you over do it you can make them go unconcious and very very ill."

Sauron made a face at the thought of breaking a bone again. "Would boiling lessen the effect of the mushroom, have no effect or make it obsolete?" His brows furrowed and he asked, "You would break the bone again if it started to heal you mean? Then break to get it straight? What wood is best for a brace or splint?" He was full of questions, "Would you use numbing slave if the bone has broken through the skin? Or is bleeding the least of their problems before the bone is reset?" He shuddered a bit, he hoped two healers never deliberated over what to do to him if he were in that situation, he liked his leg bones whole and just where they were thank you very much. But it was good to have this information in case it happened to someone whom he wanted to take care of.

That was a good question. Takoda looked at the mushroom and then tilted his head in a thoughtful manner. He had used the mushroom before grinding it up and putting it in liquid so it was easier to take...but he had never attempted to heat it before. "I am not actually sure. Wither it would make it better or worse...after all I am use to only drying the mushroom and grinding it up into a powder form. I then would put some of the contents in water and mix it for patients to take. " The shifter explained slowly as he lifted the mushroom closer to his face as if it make reveal to him the answer. He then shifted and glanced over at Sauron before giving a small sound deep in the back of his throat. "If the break is that severe I wouldn't bother putting a numbing agent. Knocking out the person would be best as it would be quite a traumatic experience, and resetting it would probably cause them to go unconscious anyway."

Sauron scrunched up his face, "Have you ever seen one that bad before? I mostly have experience with patching myself up." That and a shifter that he wasn't supposed to talk about but she had been a special case. "What about arrow wounds? How do you stop the bleeding and prevent infection...if they hit bone do they run the risk of chipping and leaving shards inside?" It seemed for ever question Takoda answered Sauron had more...so many more. But here was an amazingly smart person and it would be best to get the answers from him. "Do alkidike heal differently then we do?" He asked, he didn't know that much about them either. His world had mostly consisted of shifters for a long time.

There was a moments pause, the shifter tilted his head, rifling through memories before slowly nodded his head. "Yes, although it was along time ago, and it was my mother who had to set it not I. I was too young at the time." Takoda replied before he placed the mushroom down and looking a tad surprised by the next round of questions from Sauron. Arrow wounds? "Actually yes I have, but you have to consider the type of arrow head, where the entry point is and how deep. There are too many different methods or dealing with arrow wounds. Like if the arrow head is barbed, if so you cannot pull it out without causing more damage to the area, sometimes you have to force it all the way through. If the arrow head is narrow enough anyway. Its unlikely an arrow head can pierce through a large bone, though it could cause a fracture." Takoda mused rambling the answers in short sentences and he was afraid he was being pretty vague with his answers. "Alkidikes? Actually I am not sure..I know they don't use magic but I don't believe they heal any quicker than others."

Sauron turned a little green. "Part of me is curious and the other part is hoping I never have to deal with that problem. But in an emergency full of warrior my reudimentary skills might be the only thing we have." He thought a fracture caused by an arrow would hurt like mad. So other then a wound being smaller in scale on an alkidike there was not much difference..that was interesting. "Thank you so much for your guidance Takoda. I will cherish this information, it seems like it is getting dark out and I am sure you have much to sort through, I hope we got enough stuff. I think I should head home now if its all the same to you." Sauron held out a hand for a shake to thank him for his help.
