All else forgotten (for he was a man, and what else would a man do in this situation?), Caeb shivered beneath her touch. There were no words to describe how much love and respect he had for her and how, ahem, excited he became when Makayla put on her sly minx act.

Wrapping his arms around her, Caleb fully intended to carry her off into the depths of the apartment to have his way with her and forget all about the war, all about the Negaverse and Chaos in general. They would be just the two of them without meetings or quotas or chains of command. Those things could all wait for when the two of them were prepared to take them on.

In the meantime though, it was lights out...
