He tilted his head, and rubbed the back of his head. "I was just bein silly.... ah.."
I.. certainly hope things don't eat us out here..." he sighed, his wings drooping a bit. He had no idea where they should even go from here... and with those hooves, she probably could out run him. He could probably just graze across the ground with his wings but... well he wouldn't leave her alone in harms way... that was just plain mean.
"Wonder... which way the fruit?" he tilted his head curiously as he glanced around for any sign of fruit. There had to be a bush around here somewhere....
Aha! A bush with some berries! .... Now how to tell if they were poisonous or not......
Berries near a marsh full of poisonous frogs....hmm...

She saw how his wings drooped she felt like an idiot for what she had said. "You do know I was kidding right?" she said with an embarrassed smile her face pink with a blush. "I mean that would just be mean and what good is getting lost in the swamp alone. We have more chances of getting out together than alone." she sighed she sounded like an idiot may be that is why she had such a hard time with The god of flattery maybe she just was not good with males in general. When she saw the bush of berries she walked over to it. "Humm It is hard to tell if these are good are not." she was hungry since had not eaten for the day that she had been stuck in the birds nest. "I do not think we should rick getting sick it would make things worse for us." It was a hard thing for her to say but being hungry in a swamp was better than being sick in a swamp, Right.

"Oh..oh no I figure, your good.. just a little tired I guess.." he said and flexed his shoulders and swayed his arms. This marsh had a way of tuckering him out.. plus all that rowing.. if he didn't have muscles on his arms by tomorrow, he wanted his money back...
"Yeah but... I am so hungry... what if they are ok and we just passed up some good food?" he sighed and tilted his head. One.. couldn't hurt..... could it? Just one tiny little berry...
He reached out and plucked one and examined it. He sniffed it.. didn't smell bad. Taking a deep breath, he reached out and bit off a tiny portion, chewing it as if trying to dissect every tiny bit of flavor and particle... he then awaited for random pangs of death.
What did random pangs of death even feel like?

Topaz froze when she when she realized that he had eaten one of the berries. "how are feeling." she put her hand on his head to see if he had a fever she was not to sure what she was doing would help. "May be you should sit down or lay down. I have no clue what to do if you are poisoned." She was silent for a few minutes watching him before getting up and gathering a bunch more of the berries. "If you are going to die we better die together with a full stumics." she said popping 2 in her mouth

'lieam's purple cheeks went a bit pink when she placed her hand on his head. "I'm feeling fine so far.... nothing tingles.. or hurts." he said shyly as he wiggled his extremities. Maybe they weren't poisoned after all? He was about to mention that when she said they should at least die together. His cheeks went a brighter pink. He barley knew her and she wanted to die together? Wasn't that something only super romantic couples do? "Oh..ah... if you say so... though I'd hate for you to die because of me..." he tilted his head and stretched out his hand, but it was too late. She shoved two in her mouth.
If you can't beat em, join em! He shrugged and popped more in and chewed them down quickly.

"That is good to hear." She blushed when she realized what she had said. "I mean that...ah ah." how was she supposed to explain what she had meant. "I mean I do not dying with you because dying alone in this scary place seems lonely" she sighed She was an idiot and she knew it may be that is why she had such bad luck with guys or it could have been she was hungry and her brain was not working right. "You know dying by poisonous berries sounds like something that would happen in a book." she said plucking off a few berries before eating them

The purple demon tilted his head. She did have a point. Dying alone out here seemed.... awfully lonely indeed. Somehow the thought of her perishing with him now sent a smile to his face.
Wait....
NO. Why was he smiling about dying?! No no no no no! "As charming as that sounds, I think I'd rather see us both out of here alive, wouldn't you?" he said, deciding to just toss a few more berries down his throat anyways. "Fairy tales always have a good ending...don't they?" he tilted his head but smiled and held out his arm for her to take so they could begin again on finding their way back their homes...

Iris Picked a lot of berries and ate them all. "I rather we got out of here alive also but if worse came to worst then I would not mind. We should take some more to take with us so we do not have to worry about food." on the topic of Fairy tales she stopped and looked at him. "I do not know I have not read many but some of the ones that I did read ended with someone or something dead but most of the time good wins over the evil." She stood up using the hand that he had offered her. "Thank you. Do you have any clue which way that we are supposed to go to get home"

'lieam tilted his head. She did have a point.. then again he hadn't read many stories himself either. Tilting his head he glanced around them, flexing his shoulders and wings...which he noticed... felt a bit different. As if a weight had lifted off them.
"I'm not sure.. but... I feel as if I may be able to fly again? Like.. the air has changed. Maybe I can zip up and see which way to go? Or.... carry you home perhaps?" he asked, scratching the back of his head. He wasn't about to leave her here, even if she was... well... different. But she had been nice to him so he couldn't strand her.
"Its up to you though, I wont leave ya here alone, promise." he smiled, reaching out to pop a few more berries into his mouth as he waited for her to make a decision.

"That would want to this great atmosphere." she said waving her hands around before stopping and looking him. "Yep enough atmosphere for a while lets go back." she stopped and looked at him she would miss his company once they got back to society even though it had not been long he was the nicest males that she had ever met. "Are you sure you can carry me. I hope I am not to heavy for you." she said with a smile.

The purple demon laughed. "Yeah, it was good for a while, but I agree, lets go home." he smiled and went over to lift her into his arms, one arm supporting her legs, the other around her back. He flushed a bit embarrassed, never having been this close to another lady before, let alone a faun like one.
"Ah, yeah no worries. I got'cha, just hold on." he said as he glanced back at his wings testing them. Please don't let this feeling be wrong. he thought to himself as he flapped his wings a few times to check before giving a good spring in his step and lifting them both into the air.
It was different at first, trying to fly carrying someone, he kept making sure he wasn't holding her at a weird angle or that she'd go falling out but eventually he managed to get the hang of it. Still, he made sure to fly just above the tree line... just encase. The great tree loomed in the distance and seemed to be getting closer. He could just drop her off before the bridge. She could make it from there....right?
"You..ah.. you doing ok?" he asked, glancing down at her with an awkward smile.

Iris Topaz blushed when he picked her up and worried for a bit that she might weigh to much. As she saw the great tree coming up in view she let out a sigh of relief they had made it with out any injuries. "I am fine. How are you doing you are doing all the work and it is not a short distance to fly here." She smiled back at him she had noticed that he was flying low to the tree lines she worried that he was trying to act tough for her. "I could rub your shoulders latter to help you recover, I do not want you to suffer because of me."

She just... offered.. to rub his shoulders...
He had to keep himself from melting a bit, even though she was one of those faun things.... she was a she. That was his weakness... ladies... "Ah. aah thank you.. that sounds lovely... actually..." he said with an awkward smile. It had been a long flight, not an easy one. He made sure to stop along the way when they needed to for rests, breaks, what have you. There was only one thing on his mind though, and that was getting home.
So no matter how long it took, he kept chugging along, making sure she stayed relatively comfortable. At least steadily it looked like that giant tree was getting bigger.
After a long long while of flying, he finally reached the bridge, gliding gently down and setting her on her hooves. Letting out a sigh of relieve, he arched his back and shook out his arms and wings, stretching his muscles that had gone stiff from carrying her that long way. "So... you can make it back from here ... yeah?" he smiled, not sure he was allowed to go near the tree, nor did he really want too....too many fauns...

"Then I will rub your shoulders every time we stop." She said with a smile and she did that every time they stopped she was not that good at giving a back rub but she hopped he did not mind that. It was a very long flight she kept on looking at him worried she wished that she could do more for him other than rubbing his back. Iris Topaz was thankfully when they had made it to the bridge in front of the tree. "Yes I can walk from here." She moved close to him and kissed him on his cheek. "Thank you my Prince you have saved me from the evil forest."

The purple demon froze solid when she kissed him, his eyes wide, slightly twitching, before a silly grin plastered itself across his face. "You... are most welcome.. M'lady!" he said, rubbing his cheek where she kissed it. "I guess then, this is farewell? Probably should be off...." he tiled his head. Oh how he was longing for a bed...
