Her first thought was to snip at him about the nickname. He didn't deserve to call her 'Mal' anymore. But as she opened her mouth, the male was already running. "Wait, you numskull!" She yelled, running after him. "It could be dangerous!" Yet there he was, pulling at the crate for all he was worth. Could be magically enchanted to explode upon opening, but he forwent any safety precautions. When he finally opened it, she smirked. Served him right! Only...food or water would have been better than revenge. At the sobering thought, she sighed. "At least we'll have good hair...wait. We can use that!" She suddenly exclaimed, her golden eyes widening. "Empty out the bottles, wash them out, and we can use them to catch rain water! Or find a stream and fill them!" It was good fortune after all. Who said black cats were ill-luck?

He thought over what she was saying, she was right, but it would certainly take some work to empty them and clean them enough so they didn't taste like shampoo when they filled them up with water. He grabbed a couple and passed them up to her before taking a couple himself and scrambling to his feet and hurrying for the water to dump them out and wash them out with the salty water. "You know Mal, you are a genious in your own cute way" he commented without even thinking about the compliment he was tossing to her might be considered to hold some edge of a flirt to it.

One by one she took the bottles before following him to the water. It would be easier to wash out the salt than it would be the soap, so it was a good idea to use the vastness of the ocean instead of wasting clean water to rinse out the containers. As she squirted the mixture into the water to create a soapy froth, the female shot Vash a glare. In his carefree manner, his innocent compliment was double edged. She didn't want him to be sweet and kind. It was easier for her to bash him, hate him, be angry. And reminding her why she started falling for him was plain cruel. "It's Malloren." The feline fairly growled, choosing the high road. It was better than the insult that bubbled at the back of her throat. "We should keep a handful of bottles with shampoo still in them. They might somehow prove useful later." How was completely beyond her, but it was better to be safe than sorry. If something arose later and shampoo somehow could help in some way, they'd be kicking themselves for throwing it all into the ocean.

"Okay.. Malloren, if you think shampoo may be useful we'll take them, we can also take the box to carry these bottles in." He sighed slightly, obviously she was going to hold a grudge against him. Even though their past wasn't ideal he thought she'd at least consider forgiving him, obviously he was wrong as she was clearly proving. He squeezed out the bottles and then moved a few feet down the shore to water that wasn't a soapy and bubbly to rinse out the residue from the bottles. He was considering giving her the silent treatment for her obvious grudge, but it didn't feel like it was worth it. He did like her, just more as a friend not a love interest.

She only nodded in response before walking back to the box with her empty bottles. Forgiveness? So easily? The black cat female had been slow to trust the first go around, taking weeks. Forgiving a pae in five minutes would be impossible for her to do with anyone. For a pae that she had trusted -beyond that- loved? He'd be lucky if she ever stopped hating him. Now that they had bottles, it was no doubt a good idea to find water to put it in. Non-saltwater that is. And they would have to construct shelter. And find food. They had quite the list of issues to get through if they were going to survive until rescue came.

Vash too dropped empty rinsed out bottles into the box and then hefted it up after she'd dropped all hers in. Without the extra shampoo in the bottles it was a lot lighter and thus was an easy lift, he settled it onto his shoulder and looked around them. His original thought of getting off the beach returned to him and he turned inland walking towards the first shady area. He glanced back to her to see if she was following, he could do this alone, but something inside him drew him to make sure she was okay and would be safe.... even if she seemed to not want to be anywhere near him.

He was selfish, hurtful and cruel but...being around him would most likely yield a better result than trying to survive alone. Plus, he had taken the liberty of carrying all their bottles. So she reluctantly followed him, her tail hanging low as her ears stayed flat against her head. The most pathetic looking cat of the whole island. With any luck the shade they were heading towards could be made into some sort of shelter against the oncoming night. Or perhaps they could use it to fashion it into a boat... a boat. She shuddered at the thought of returning to the ocean which almost claimed her life. "After we survey the area...I can try to fish." She spoke without looking at him, clearly only speaking to benefit their survival rather than wanting conversation. If she believed not talking would've been as beneficial she would have turned straight mute throughout the entire ordeal.

He walked in mostly silence, it was odd since the last time they had been together had been far different. His glancing back noticed her sad expression and he sighed slightly and kept trudging along. He heard her offer and nodded "Okay, we will definitely need something to eat." he replied. They entered the shade after some time and he dropped the box of shampoo next to a tree and put his hands on his hips as he stood surveying their surroundings.

As they walked under the trees, she looked around just like him to take in anything handy. It was there that she noticed big, round brown coconuts hanging above their heads. While herself had never been a fan of them -she was pretty strictly a meat girl- the water or milk inside could be their saving grace. Wordlessly she walked to the base of a palm tree and started circling it, wondering how she was going to get the coconuts. Sure, she had her sharp claws, but it was a straight vertical tree. Once she got up, she wasn't going to be able to get back down. Her tail swished in thought. Maybe if they could construct a pole, they could knock them down...

"Do you want to stick together or split-up to find a place to to call shelter till we figure out how to get out of here." Vash had a feeling if Mall had her way it'd be to separate, but in all honestly hoped she wouldn't say it. He turned to look at her and saw her looking up and he too looked up and then with a swish of the fabric of his coat moved beside her and stared at the same coconuts as she was.

"If we split up we'll cover more options and ground...but staying together would make creating something faster..." She spoke absentmindedly, more focused on the coconuts above. It might work out if Vash caught her afterwards. But she had trusted him with her heart and he had broken that. Think she was going to trust him with her life? No chance. "Hmmm...How good of a shot are you? I'm thinking we can knock one down with one of those shampoo bottles." It seemed like it was a good idea for her to keep some with shampoo in it after all!
