Further inland, where the beach began to give way to trees, some of the foliage rustled overhead. Several pairs of eyes watched the Pae'il down on the beach with curiosity.

All of a sudden, a green coconut sailed from the palm fronds and flew towards the pair. It fell woefully short, leaving them safe, however, the branches erupted with screeches of glee and frenzy.

Apparently, the monkeys were easily amused.

A smile cracked onto Lisandru's face when his taipan made his way out of the pile, holding--well, more like dragging with--a medium pot in its mouth. Pleased, he took the pot from the poor taipan, which was rather relieved when Lisandru took it off its hands--helped stop the strain the poor taipan was feeling. With the pot, Lisandru already had a few ideas. They could boil water, cook some food... maybe he could get himself some fish, that sounded pretty good right--

what in the--

Lisandru nearly jumped sky-high when Prisma suddenly came shooting out of a nearby hole--where had that even come from--wings fluttering, rainbow flying, tumbling towards the shallow waters--though she seemed to manage to stop that one. How had she--what--where had she--what was going--

Whatever.

Lisandru decided that, perhaps, questioning Prisma's random ability to fly through nonexistent holes was probably too much for him to handle right now. He still barely had a grip on the fact that he was stuck here with her--though he did--though he didn't--

Of course, she wasted no time coming over to join him, leaving Lisandru nervously rubbing his neck. Her ... staffy staff? So her staff gave her the ability to burst out of random holes like some kind of ... hole burster monster thing? Lisandru wasn't even totally positive on how to describe what he just saw. Honestly, there was only one conclusion the shetani was capable of coming up with.

Fae were weird.

"Yes, soon you'll be able to make puppets." Lisandru went with that one, continuing to sort the wood in front of him. "Some of this stuff is too wet to be of any use, but I think the pile here could probably get something started. We'll need to make sure to keep it far away enough from the water that the tides won't put it out though--

What was that?!

And now something was throwing coconuts at them. Lovely. Lisandru groaned, leaning over to pick up the coconut that had missed them. Well, at least it was food. "Looks like there's coconuts on this island," observed Lisandru, setting the coconut down beside him. "That could be useful. Coconut water and coconut fruit are both rather refreshing."

Maybe he could make some coconut-crusted fish...

Prisma had been eyeing the pile as Lisandru mentioned most of the things being water logged and too damp to use. But at least some of it would be to use to start a fire. "Yay! Smoke puppets!" she cooed and clapped her hands together again.

And then something caught her attention. A flying coconut?!? COOL! She skipped over to pick up the coconut before the screeching and fleeing figures caught her attention. "MONKEYS!! Extremely!" she laughed and attempted to skip off a few ways after them, but they disappeared far too quick for her.

She pouted. "Bananas... I wanted to play with them." she said dejectedly. Then suddenly she had a bright idea.

"I wonder if they like shinies extremely?!" she asked, taking the silverware out of her hair and brandishing it in both hands like a fanned deck of cards. She aimed them high up at the trees and peered around hopeful that the monkeys might return...

But Lisadru seemed more focused on the fruit. "Oh? I have not tasty tasted coconut before... Can we eat it now?!"

If there was one thing Lisandru really did not get about this whole situation, it was that Prisma kept calling them smoke puppets. Weren't they just trying to make a fire to get attention? How did that involve puppets--

Lisandru and the poor taipan now sitting on his head both winced when she shouted about monkeys, watching the woman run off in the direction of the offending animals. Lisandru caught a small sigh of relief from his normally just as quiet taipan, and he flicked his eyes up to murmur a soft apology to his wild soul just in time for Prisma to come moping back.

That was enough to make the taipan mope down onto his shoulders.

Was she seriously thinking of giving their silverware to the monkeys? Well... he supposed there was worse things she could be trying to give them, like the coconut or her seemingly very magical staff. Besides, those utensils had been all in her hair at this point. There was no real reason to actually use them unless they had to ... that would be rather gross. Lisandru had no interest in accidentally eating someone else's hair...

Though she seemed to be interested in eating coconut. If it provided her with something to focus on--he noticed a lack of extremelies--he was all for it. Lisandru grinned when she commented on the coconut, carefully offering it to her with his still gloved hands.

"Coconut is very tasty, I feel. They come with coconut milk, something to drink, and coconut meat itself, which is a nice white fruit... They can be hard to crack open, though. Do you think that staff of yours might help get it pried open?" Lisandru gestured to the staff. "While you're doing that, I can go look at some of the other debris. Maybe we can start building a functional shelter out of what we have."

Food, water, and next came a place to stay. And they had the starts of one already, but they needed some actual supports... And a cover ... Some of those giant palm leaves might help out...

Peering at the coconut, Prisma took it carefully, as if the very action would cause it to shatter its on existent delicacy. "Hmmmm... I am unsure extremely.... I have never used my staffy staff to open such things before!" she cooed in question, turning the coconut over in her hand and then peering at her staff...

and then back to the coconut.....

...and back to her staff....

..and back to the coconut as she set it on the ground...

...and back to her staff as she raised it high in the air...

... then back down to the coconut as she swung her arms down as hard as she possibly could...

.. back to her staff as the end came crashing down on the coconut, a loud crack like split noise reverberating as the force rippled back up her staff, into her arms and up to her head. A strange vibrating like giggle noise escaping her lips that fought to twist into a smirk.

She shook her head, careful not to fling her new hairware out and let out a normal laugh. She peered first at the end of her staff to make sure nothing had broken or chipped before down at the coconut that seemed to have a decent sized crack in it now, but not quite enough to split it open.

"Looky looky! I made a split extremely! Maybe if I do this more...." she pondered and proceeded to go to town bringing her staff on the coconut repeatedly until she she had managed to crack it enough that she could pry the rest of it open and in half with a bit of effort.

She was careful not to spill much of the milk out, if any at all, as she brought it close to her face, slowly peering at the revealing white 'meat' inside as she brought the two pieces apart, held upright like bowls. "Mister Lisandru Siiiiirrrrr!" she called in a sing song like voice, ready to offer him his half. "Is this right extremely?!"

Even if she hadn't used her staff for such things before, he was certain she would be able to get it open with it. The staff looked solid enough to. Besides, it wasn't like Lisandru was getting it open with anything. He was too busy stacking up the drier wood he found for a decent fire, after all! He had his task already.

... Maybe Lisandru just didn't want to admit that he was not a particularly strong man.

The loud crack surprised Lisandru--and the thoroughly annoyed, hissing taipan on his shoulders--making him drop the matches he was holding. Oh. Well. He supposed he was right about her being able to get the damn coconut open, though she seemed perhaps a little too enthusiastic about it. Was she cackling?

Yes, she was ... sort of cackling. Still giggling, but she seemed to be smirking. Perhaps it was a Prisma cackle? A prisckle... Was she rubbing off on him already? That made no sense extreme--

No.

Lisandru shook his head to himself, complimenting her aloud on the job with the coconut. "You definitely did that extremely!" Yes, if the way his taipan was hissing in his ear gave any hint, it was most definitely an extreme split of the coconut. Of course, she didn't stop, either.

But it looked like she had split it properly, at least.

"That's perfect, actually!" exclaimed Lisandru, dropping the matches for the moment. He loved coconut. "I'll take some of that, and then we can go make our shelter, or find one nearby."

Maybe there would be one nearby. That would probably be easier.

"We probably shouldn't start a fire until we have a proper camp," mused Lisandru, quietly. "But this pile should work for the purpose."

Prisma was extremely happy with herself.. Extremely! She felt like a child who had just did something right and was being praised. She clapped and laughed and danced and sang. "I am so pleased! Perfect Extremely! Now you may be well fed and I shall be too and perhaps we can find more and not get sicky sick!" This was indeed a most joyous thing to her and perhaps the best thing yet to have happened on their Island Misadventures.

She gladly handed over his half and sipped at her own, making more delighted sounds as she enjoyed its flavor for the very first time. "Good indeedy deed, yes yes!" she smiled, holding on to her half once the liquid was gone. She intended to keep the husk as some sort of treasure. Perhaps back in her home to store her new hairware.

But the subject of finding some place to stay was again on her mind. No smoke puppets just yet. And no happy happy hut. "Oh.... well then perhaps we should explore the island extremely! Maybe the monkeys know a place to stay!" she mused, skipping around him in a circle, her wings fluttering. At least they could travel around the island fast with her holes... and it would be most fun!

"OHOHOHOH! We can use my rabbit holes! It will take us quicker. It is fun extremely, one should always try it once in their life! Like a slide!" she beamed, confident that it would pop them out somewhere rather than having to walk. She then stopped and laugh cackled to herself, her hand at her mouth like a child holding a secrent. "Of course.. it is most randomy random where it pops out. that is half the fun!" he cooed, bouncing on her tip toes. It seemed the more excited she was, the more extremely's that blossomed into existence.

"That is if Mister Lisandru Sir wishes to try it! Prisma promises no harm shall come to Mister Lisandru Sir. " she said sincerely, offering him a warm smile and a strange sort of bow.... "That is unless he forgets to flappy flap his wings and lands on his rumpy rump!" she suddenly burst into a fit of more giggles.

Food was definitely something important to get, but she was almost taking it a little too seriously. Exerting herself that much probably wouldn't help the need for energy they both had--

Oh whatever.

Lisandru didn't care if she wanted to exert herself extremely. What Lisandru cared about was getting his hands on the coconut and taking a sip from the husk, letting a pleased sigh of his own come from his lips. That was delicious. He had always enjoyed flavors like coconut, but this almost seemed to be exceptionally good. Maybe there was something to this private island thing.

Something he could come back and gather and sell to people in the City, at least. Lisandru had very little interest in staying here forever. The longer he was here, the more he wished to be home.

Lisandru chose to hang on to his half of the coconut, too, tucking it under his arm. Leaving where they were, despite the proximity to water, was probably their best bet so far as finding a place for shelter went. He had to admit, though, he was a bit ... unnerved by the idea of finding a home with the monkeys that had thrown a coconut at his head.

He was, perhaps, even more unnerved by the idea of using random rabbit holes, though that did at least explain how exactly she had just popped out of the sand out of nowhere. Still, random? That was destined to be a bad idea. Where the hell were they going to end up?

--If it was random, could they end up back at the City? That was a thought...

Besides, it sounded faster than walking.

Lisandru plucked up a damp bag from the debris Prisma found and started jamming it with the wood, matches, pot, and a few other essentials he found in the piles she presented him with.

"If it's going to drop us off randomly, we might-as-well grab everything we need... Then we can go."

Why not? He was already in this deep. Not like staying here was getting him home any faster...

More delighted Squeeing!!!!!

Extremely!!!!!!

"HOORRRAAAAAHHH!!!" she beamed and repeated the entire previous ceremony of happy happiness.

Once she was done, Prisma picked up a few small odds and ends, taking her coconut and putting them into it and jiggled it to hear the clinky clanky clackity sounds it made, beaming even more.

"You will not be displeased, I most assured you!" she nodded, making sure her coconut husk was well secured beneath her arm before she placed both hands on her staff. "Yes yes this is a good thought, Mister Lisandru Sir. I do not know where it will take us extremely, but it will be somewhere on the island." she nodded, the last part she was sure of. It couldn't take them to another world, or anywhere super far. It was mostly meant for fast getaways and to buy a little time if she needed to flee from something quickly. What she continued to giggle at however was that it was highly possible it could shoot them out right back where they came from.

And she was certain it wouldn't open up somewhere underwater.......mostly...... sorta..... maybe not.

Raising her staff, she focused, the one time her facial features seemed to have gone serious the entire time they had been here, before she brought the end of the staff down much like she did with the coconut, but this time into the sand near her feet. In the same manner as before, the sand shifted and the ground roes to form a hole that resembled the entrance to a rabbit burrow.

Leaning closely, eyes wide and sparkling, she peered deep into the newly risen hole, watching for a few moments, before turning her head and raising a hand to her ear to listen...........

.......... "Sounds good!" she declared and nodded. "And there are no other holes in sight! Which means it is somewhere far that way!" she pointed straight ahead.

"Or that way!" she pointed left.

"Ooooorrrrr..... that way!" she pointed right and giggled... extremely.

Well, the agreement seemed to make her happy. Of course, everything seemed to make her happy. Maybe that was just her general modus operandi.

Still, it was probably better that she remain that way than get ... pouty or something. That would be annoying.

He had to admit, against his better judgement, Lisandru was at least curious about this "Rabbit Hole" thing Prisma kept speaking of. He had no idea how it would work or why it worked other than magic, but it had admittedly at least sounded fun when Prisma came flying out of that hole earlier even if he couldn't make heads or tails of how exactly she had pulled it off.

... Damn, it couldn't take them back to the City.

Still, moving around might help them find something. Maybe some civilization or some of the others who had been on the boat before they got themselves shipwrecked? That would be nice.

-- Wait, she was capable of being serious?

Lisandru watched in surprise as Prisma suddenly became as serious as sin and slammed her staff into the sand. Curious despite himself, Lisandru edged a bit closer to the hole, bag over his shoulder and coconut husk in his hand. That was it? That wasn't going to get them any-- oh. It was forming a hole. Where did it go?

Prisma didn't seem to know either what with her pointing all over the place. Great.

"Well, it's anywhere but here," decided Lisandru, steeling himself.

This was such a bad idea.

"So do we just ... jump in?"

This was not going to end well.

Prisma nodded, taking her filled coconut husk out from beneath her arm where she squeezed it to use her staff and straightened its contents. "Yeppy yeppity yep yep! Just jumpy jump right in! It will do the rest! It just sucks you right up and takes you with extremely!" she giggled and beamed, urging him to go first.

"You and your snakey snake should go first. It's so much fun to listen to others slidey slide on their first time! " she prisckled.

She could also make sure he got through safe and nothing else if anything should happen while he was being shot through.

Like a giant sea monster or a large squid. Or several thousand evil fishes sprouting from the sea wanting his delicious coconut!

That sounded terrifying.

"Okay..."

Lisandru nearly jumped when his even more quiet taipan hissed in his ear, a soft, "I'm not going in that," intelligible out of the hiss. Once he calmed down--how was he not used to that nonsense by now, his taipan never took interest in actually announcing when he was going to start hissing--Lisandru hissed back a, "Do you have a better option?!"

There was a scoff. "Walk!"

"This'll work faster."

"To a random place!"

To Prisma, it probably just looked like Lisandru was quietly shouting at the snake on his shoulder. There were a few hisses that made it out of his mouth as well, sounding remarkably like a snake himself. So much for coming off like the level-headed one of this duo, eh?

After a few more seconds of that, Lisandru apparently decided he had enough, because he grabbed the taipan off his shoulder and placed him in the bag within the pot. "There, now you won't fall off."

There was another hiss, but Lisandru seemed to be ignoring it this time, approaching the hole of doom.

Well.

Here went ... nothing, he guessed.

Lisandru clutched onto his bag and jumped in... unable to help the scream that ripped from his lips not even moments later.

He couldn't even think.

Prisma watched curiously as he hissed back and forth with his snake, giggling at the 'funny sounds' they were both making. It was rather adorable and she wished she could do that....Maybe she'd have to find a snake to put on her shoulder and teach it to hiss at her whenever she hissed. Because clearly she didn't seem to understand they were actually having a conversation...

After he had jumped through the hole however, she began prisckling even louder and clapped her hands together while still holding her staff. "Bravo bravo most extremely!" she cooed and danced forward, leaning in to listen to the sound that erupted from his lips and echoed all the way to either side of the hole. "That is one way to do it, yes indeedy deed!" she giggled softly, waiting for his screams to stop.

After things had quieted down, she peered through the hole and waited one last moment. She didn't want to come bursting through while he was still in there, or standing there. That wouldn't be fun, that would hurt most extremely. No no, this was a one person at a time ride... when they could afford it to be.

"Ready or nooooot, here I cooommeee!" she shouted into the hole with all her might, gathered up her things and jumped in feet first, slipping through like on a water slide, shouting joyous cries of excitement the entire way until she popped out the end, fluttering her wings to keep herself from crashing into the ground.

"SO FUN!" she shouted aloud and did a little twirl in air before looking around to see where Mister Lisandru Sir had managed to land....

Is ok - I got a lot of stuff to be doing this weekend x,x
PostPosted: Sat Sep 28, 2013 11:56 pm

Lisandru hadn't really figured out the trick to this 'landing properly' thing... or landing at all, really. His mind was blank when he was flying through the hole, not able to do much else but scream, but when he burst out of it, he did have the thought to ...

Flail around like an idiot.

Uselessly, Lisandru flailed around, flying forward with the bag containing his supplies--and his wild soul companion--before falling flat on his stomach, groaning at the pain that jolted through his body at the harsh landing. He heard yet another annoyed his from the taipan, but Lisandru did his best to ignore it, in enough pain already without the whines of his whiny taipan.

As the adrenaline and fear started to leave Lisandru's system, something else slowly began to replace it. At first, it was curiosity. How had that even worked? Where had it taken him? How fast was he flying through it? How did he come out of there without being hurt any more than he was? How did Prisma land so easily out of that thing without getting herself in some ridiculous position like he did?

Secondly, it was followed by a sense of...

Well...

That was awesome.

If Lisandru knew what a thrill ride was, he would probably know what he experienced. As he didn't, instead, some amount of excitement entered his system. Could he do that again?! That was actually oddly fun now that he didn't feel like his body was about to be ripped apart or something...

No, no, that would be stupid. No more jumping into dangerous holes. Besides, he probably just got lucky this time.

... If this was a lucky place to land, anyway. Where the hell were they now? Dammit.

"Huh......" Prisma said as she flittered in circles just above Lisandru to try to figure out their position. She wasn't an expert at these things, but from what little or loots she saw, she came up with an... educated guess.

"Prisma thinks.... we are now somewhere...... to the right of the middle of the island!" she said and folded her arms triumphantly before letting herself drop back down to the island.

She checked over her belongings, her staff, her coconut, her hairware and made sure everything was still in working order. Then setting her coconut down, she gripped her staff, whispering some sort of thank you too it before she tapped the end into the ground again, the grassy covered rabbit hole falling flat back to the earth. "There. No baddy bads can follow us through at least!" she nodded.

Of course, who was to say there was no baddy bads already here on this side of the hole....

"Mister Lisandru Siiiiiirrr! Are you okey dokey?!" she giggled, skipping over and extending a hand to help him up if he needed it.
