Maris was already at the foot of the stairs on the left-hand side of the large entrance when she noticed it. A howl of wind from outside, and what she could distinctly make out as Momo's battle cry. By the time the doors even swung open, crashing forcefully against the walls, Maris had already leveled her gun on the entryway, her yellow eyes flashing as she pulled the trigger, firing a round at the sudden intruder. He moved, but not quick enough, her bullet grazing past him, just enough for the red, crystal like aura that enveloped his body flickered.
"Tsk!" Maris clicked her tongue. She didn't need to fire a second round to know that it would be lost on him. 'Wait a minute...' The man was protected by a spell, although it was certainly not the protect spell. But from the coloration of the spell, and the manner at which it formed protectively around him, Maris was quick to work out what it was, and she knew. By the time the intruder had cross the lobby, and met Maris at the stairs, she'd conjured a name.
Raising her arm, she caught the blade with the side of her armored suitcase, defending herself against the sudden attack. Her assailant now close enough to properly see, and holding still at that, she could make out identifying features that confirmed exactly to just who he was. Parrying the blade away from her, she kicked at the man, to force him back and bit just a bit of distance between them. She remained where she stood, one foot on a step higher as she looked down at him. Grinning, Maris spoke. "Well now, looky here. Daddy's finally come home for the family, huh? Picked a bad time to come back. Maybe you can do us a favor and stay gone for a bit longer. I've still got business to attend to with the family, and I'm sure they won't miss you for a few minutes longer!"
And right on cue, Momo, the fantastic little moomba he was, appeared from the entrance, dashing at full speed towards Kalay and Maris. The moomba leapt, and wrapped itself around his leg, latching on with it's claws and fangs. "Thanks Momo!" Maris called, taking the chance to turn and rush up the stairs. He was a tough little guy, and would be fine to handle daddy for a few seconds. Long enough to buy Maris time to get to mommy. Tucking her suitcase beneath her arm she deftly unloaded the two empty casings of the earlier fired rounds onto the ground, and reached for a speedloader at her belt, loading six rounds into her revolver and locking the revolving cylinder into place, the speedloader being dropped to the ground. She had only prepared to rounds. One for Salem, one for Lisanna. She had used the one for Salem, and the one she had intended for Lisanna had been lost on Kalay. But now that he was in the picture, and shielded at that, she wasn't going to take chances with non-lethal rounds. Now she would be playing serious.
But no sooner had she gotten to the top of the stairs, and turned to make a break for Lisanna's door, something large came crashing into the building. She could hear the sound of the destruction of the roof of the mansion, a sound louder than cannon fire, and the simultaneous explosion of the windows at the front of the building. The windows shattered from the force, pieces of the ceiling and debris fell down, one of them hitting the fountain and causing it to shatter, water spraying in every which direction and quickly soaking the floor. And pieces of the ceiling, where the force of whatever struck the mansion had hit and caused considerable damage, came crashing down, debris and stone hitting the ground around the entrance with such force it cracked the stone flooring. Despite her rush she paused, not to try and see if she could make out what it was that had caused the destruction, but to check on Salem. An instance of relief flooded her. He was fine, unharmed by the falling debris, and still unconscious on the ground where she had left him. She would have done well to move him to a safer place, but with Kalay, and whatever that thing outside, now wasn't the time. The mission took priority, and she wasn't about to let this night go to a complete waste.
It had began as a hunch, then it became supported by reports of the Bureau closing in on Winhill, and now the scene laid before his eyes. On the back of the King of Dragons the leaders of the resistance, The Unbroken, gazed down at a scene of treachery. His hood fluttered slightly from the winter breeze as Bahamut hovered above the mansion. It was clear they had to get Lisanna and her baby away from the Bureau. He wanted to save Salem as well...but the moment the woman stepped inside...it was probably too late. The plan was simple, get in, fine Lisanna and her baby, then get out before things got too hairy. At least that was the plan before Nona cast Protectga on them.
"N-non-!!" Having no choice he jumped off as Bahamut sped down at an alarming rate. Dammit! This would get them more attention! Gritting his teeth a bit he refocused. This could still be used and at least Bahamut would keep them at bay.The rushing winter wind stung his skin but the cloak whipped behind him. Suddenly, thanks to Nona's Floatga, his decent slowly and he somersaulted to a landing on the mansion's roof. The tip of his spear mounted on his back scrapped the roof a bit as he stood. Nona's summon had planted itself in front of the mansion keeping them out and the hooded blonde saw his comrades split in different directions. A wind roared in the front of a mansion and two more GFs of noticeable size appeared to challenge the king.
"No time to waste" he muttered to himself and began to dash across the roof planning to jump in through a balcony. Abruptly, a figure with six wings took to the sky and above the mansion. For a moment he was stunned by the beauty of her wings, but he immediately recognized Lisanna. 2 years ago, he had though Kalay and she had died in a failed mission, but since then he had been in contact with them. It was a relief to be sure. In her arms he could see she was cradling something...was it her baby? Whatever the case, the blonde pressed his fingers to his ear. "Riyel, Nona I have located Lisanna and her child. Be ready to wrap this up!" he spoke then turned to the sky. "Lisanna! Down here!" he called out and pulled back his hood. Blonde hair spilled out of the dark cloak and his turquoise eyes were unmistakable. It was none other than Lloyd Nipal.
{{O.o.c:// Damage for Spear of Judgement is Sylphs level *750 for impacted area (around 2-3 meters). For a few yards out the damage is 100* his level. Damage right now is 1500 for impact, 200 for wind outside impact area.Accelerated World }}
Outside in the blowing snow, Slyph was staring down the group with his spear at the ready, fully aware he wasn't supposed to actually fight these people and win. Instead, he was focused on the wind that was like a gale behind him, sending snow everywhere as he stood in front of it. He might have actually tried to stop the first figure to dart towards him, clearly moving to get past him, but he had a slightly more concerning beast to deal with. Oddly, Sylph didn't seem worried or afraid. He was smirking as he spun his lance. It was when Kafshe attacked that Sylph moved back, into the wind. The moomba had used the time to get past, not that Sylph had time to deal with him while his wings kicked into action to get him back from Kafshe. It wasn't hard for him to slip back and just out of range, but things were getting worse at a rate that he couldn't very well keep up with. Something crashed onto the roof of the mansion, Bahamut from the looks of it, and another GF had been summoned as well, moving to fly to intercept Bahamut. Well, Kalay had specifically told him to keep things on the down low, but this was looking like an impossibility at this point. Plus, he was out of time.
'Kalay, I'm out! Going out with a show.'
Spinning his spear, Sylph leveled it with the sky and launched it straight upwards. It launched away like a cannon, disappearing into the clouds as Sylph smirked, disappearing with a flicker of the wind. Above them, the clouds suddenly parted, leaving a wide circle of starry sky above them. In the darkness it would have been impossible to see the spear that was falling from the sky like a bolt fired from a ballista. It was tearing through the air, and about half way to the ground the tip of the spear suddenly lit up green. He hadn't really taken time to consider who he would aim to hit, and since Kafshe was the much larger target, that was the one it aimed to hit. Even if it managed to get out of the way, it would be risking the spear taking out everything directly beneath it that it had been protecting, at this point Saida. Wherever the spear impacted, it exploded, wind tearing away from the weapon. The ground was torn apart as the wind rushed away, nearby windows shattered. And the area of impact, if it wasn't Kafshe, was left as hemisphere crater. It was in no way as impressive as something the other gfs could do, but considering the focused damage it could do to it's target, it could be devastating.
Inside, Kalay hadn't been surprised to see Maris block him, he wasn't exactly amused she managed to figure out who he was so quickly though. Kalay slipped back to lessen her kick, but it still sent him stumbling back slightly as he readied his blade to go at her again. "Think I'll stay and say hello to them now." Kalay responded, getting ready to go at her again only to feel something clamp down on his leg. It might have hurt if not for the fact Ruby Light shielded Momo from actually digging into his leg. To momo, it would have been like he'd tried to bite into solid metal, for Kalay it felt like something was trying to dig into him but didn't quite have sharp enough teeth to accomplish it. At most it was just an annoying pang, but it wasn't exactly something he could ignore. Without giving it much thought, Kalay's sword swung down at Momo, Kalay shifted to pull away as soon as the Moomba let go. If he didn't, he was about to recieve a blade to his head, if not, Kalay was planning on backing up for a moment. Maris was heading up to Lis's room, but Kalay couldn't exactly deal with both Momo and Maris at the same time. He'd have to focus on one and hope Lis had the sense to have taken off as soon as the fighting started.
"Well, not sure what Laguna would think of this." Kalay muttered, realizing the oddity of a Moomba being apart of the BIE.

Riyel "The Ringer"Vicaria
There is no pain, you are receding A distant ship smoke on the horizon You are only coming through in waves Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying
Junction: Ifrit, Elliot: 750/750 Level: 18 Health: 1800/1800 (Protect, Float) Location: Winhill Mansion Magic: Scan (4), Fira (4), Firaga (3), Cura (3), Thundara (3) Items: Phoenix Down (3), Hi Potions (2), Lighter, Cigarettes Weapon: Titan's Edge: 3/3 Chamber Filled (Bio, Thundara, Fira), Brass Knuckles Mood: Back in the Game
He held onto the King of Dragons with the wind slapping him in the face, aged eyes peering out from the flying hair around his face. The fact that this was quite irritating as well as the Fire Demon complaining within his head was all the more reason for Riyel to have a less than pleased face. Ever time Winter came, Ifrit always seemed to find it necessary to remind the blonde Rebel Leader as to the specific reason as to why the cold, snow, and even the name winter did not go hand in hand with his personal views on life. So yes. Irritating. Of course, Riyel wasn't the largest fan of the season that was winter either...but you could be surprised at how much a Fire Demon can mention how much he loathes winter and all of its creations. Of course, this wasn't what was a priority in the man's mind as he turned to look at his twin brother. Lloyd wasn't happy about this predicament either but as to what he thought overall, Riyel wasn't entirely too sure. Spitting behind them, his eyes turned and looked towards the ground, where Winhill was lit with lights.
A small sight left Riyel's lips at he looked down towards his hometown, a place that he had been forced to evade and avoid for two years. Of course he would have liked to visit, yet he knew of the stupid repercussions that could come from such a flirtation. Even as he continued looking, he could see his and Lloyd's grandmother's house from all the way up here...and nostalgia hit him harder than usual. Lloyd had never even been there...and he really didn't remember their Grandmother either. It was surprising how much Riyel could miss her. A shiver ran down his spine as he turned towards the front...it was almost time. His scarf kept around his neck and mouth, while he kept his jacket closed as he listened to Nona speak with quick instructions. If it hadn't been for her, Riyel would have been at home right now drinking some hot chocolate, training, or...doing something other than this. And if it had been anyone else other than maybe Lloyd, who came up to him with talks of a mission in this mess...Riyel would have told them to ******** off. But his brother was going. As was Nona. And it was centered in Winhill. That was all he needed, really.
Of course, the other two had changed as well, to some not a whole lot but to Riyel it was a change of great leap and bounds. His brother Lloyd had come to grow up greatly in these past couple of years, still lighthearted on occasion but a great deal more mature, yes. And Nona...who had come to them bearing half a burned face that Riyel had to force her to allow him and his stepmother to look at. They were bonded however. Bonded by the trials and struggles that they had forced themselves to get to this point. From creating a legitimate resistance from scratch to a full fledged rebellion in the face of the Galbadian might, the blood and tears that they had shed to create all of this was more than any individual could fathom. There was no backing out after all that they had done together in the last two years, all the growing. All the killing.
"It's the most wonderful time of year, my blonde a**." he muttered. It was one of the last things that he said before nodding towards the other two, leaping off of Bahamut as his companions did so. Of course, others might have started screaming. Two years ago...Riyel would have probably made a mess in his pants. But his eyes remained closed as he focused, concentrating as a flash of light appeared by his side, and if the wind had not been rushing past his ears making an almost deafening sound, one would have heard the little squawk of Elliot the Dragon appearing by his side, floating down even as Floatga took its effect on the Swordsman, allowing him to land gently on the roof of the building. Even as Elliot landed next to him, Riyel's eyes moved quickly to find threats about them, spotting Saeda as well as two other creatures even as Bahamut landed behind him. One of the Gfs before him performed its finishing move, the detonation forcing Riyel to duck slightly as he received Lloyd's message via the headphones that the two brothers had been tinkering with for the past couple of weeks. "Get her attention and begin to evac, I'll keep the fronts attention." As soon as the attack ended, Riyel leapt down the roof, float keeping him from injury, with Elliot landing by his side. The two stood in front of the front door of the mansion, and Riyel let loose a dirty smirk as he looked at those in front of him.
"Hello." With a nod, Elliot opened his maw and released a torrent of black smokescreen, thick like smog that spread in front of the open lawn before them in a wide radius, encompassing a great deal of the yard as the little Dragon continued spewing the status inflicting attack towards Saeda and the other GF. Of course, Riyel wasn't going to be pulling any punches with this sort of Sting Operation, wanting to deal an efficient amount of damage before they departed. "Goodbye." Pulling out his lighter, he opened up the item quickly and let the flame loose before tossing it into the cloud of smokescreen before him,, which was now a couple of meters before him. Which it then erupted in flame.
When I was a child I had a fever My hands felt just like two balloons Now I've got that feeling once again I can't explain, you would not understand This is not how I am I have become comfortably numb
Name: Momo! Location: Battle! Level: 15! Health: Moraculous! Status: Kalay not tasty. Hunger: Kalay not filling. ___________________________
There she went. Not even bothering to hurt the green haired man that he had so quickly clung to in his own adorably non affectionate way. Momo, amazingly, was somewhat disappointed, but understood Maris' decision to go on without dealing with the baby's relative. But, what was even worse? She had the snacks with her. And just walked off, and he was hungry. For a moment, Momo was sad, as Maris walked around, before pulling his teeth from the bizarre leg and drawing a spell from her as she made her exit.
He'll have to earn his snack for today. Deftly moving out of the way, Momo didn't actually leave from Kalay's feet, instead casting the drawn Dispel on him, readying to follow with another attack before he heard a odd thing brought up. "Laguna?" The Moomba wanted to stop and chat, but instead growled, unwillingly letting Kalay take a few steps away, not that it mattered. Well, for what he was following up with. "Next time?" He said, with odd clarity as he opened his paws like he was preparing for a hug. "Meltdown!" He roared, a pink, violet energy waves seeming to be drawn from the environment, focused before his chest.
Within a few moments, all this lovely energy would be fired at Kalay.
Kafshë seemed... annoyed? Perhaps. The look in it's eye certainly as murderous, though even if it spoke it had proven time and time again no one but Momo could understand him. This little green wanna-be thought it was even close to a proper dancer, but, before any of that could come through in the process of making Sylph a meal, Kafshë's head turned upward as he heard a nice impact with the mansion. Bahamut. Roaring a challenge at the so-called king of GF's, well, momentarily before skipping to the side to have marble crumble in the air where he stood, as if it had hit him anyways.
Which, conveniently meant anyone who was hiding behind him would have been safe, even for a second after he had moved. Though, not that it helped much, turning his head back to see what the little one was doing, he saw nothing but air. Not wanting to waste any precious moments to see why he was gone, Kafshë displayed his speed, moving back to Saida, he used his head to nudge the girl up and onto his back, hoping she was quick and smart enough to catch on as he leapt up onto the side of another building in the streets.
Unfortunately, the large beast was unaware of the final attack propositioned on himself, but he had already noticed the other attempt to harm them. Some thing spewing something nasty and soon after, lit on fire. The flames were a pleasant distraction when the judgement came down. It has missed, directly at least, landing a little ways off to where Kafshe was now. Well, it was a bit distressing, seeing a bright green thing smash into the ground, and wind whipping around it to scathe the ground beneath. Now he knew where the GF went.
Pushing off of the building, Kafshe's attention drawn enough that he hadn't made the leap. Though, hopefully Saida was at least close enough to leap onto the roof from his back and engage in their opponent. Kafshe would find some other manner to clamber up and have his fun with Bahamut. After all, the cracked in wall behind him was enough to let him know these buildings wouldn't support another such maneuver.

XXXXSnow drifted and swirled beyond the ice fogged window. This trip was like many others yet different. So what made it different from the others? For one silence engulfed the entire cabin. The only sounds that indicated anyone occupied it were the harsh sounds of breathing. It was strange for everyone to be quiet. Saida? Not so much for her but there was Maris, Momo, and Xaris who were all quiet as well. So where was this group headed that had them acting as if they were going to a funeral of a loved one? They were headed to Salem Everett’s home. Perhaps the word funeral wasn’t too farfetched. As for the loved one part he was Maris love interest at the moment. Maris and Xaris sat on either side of Momo who was curled up in a ball on one side and Saida, alone, on the other with her arms crossed over her chest. She was staring at the ground looking as if she’d rather bolt from the room then spend the entire ride there.
XXXXThere were a lot of things that were going on in Saida’s head, Sylphy; the all cheerful spit ball that she was, chimed in. Why is Saida so gloomy? …well extra gloomy? None of your wispping bees wax. Go away. Saida didn’t need to actually see the small creature’s face to know she was giving a pout face. Saida is so mean to Sylphy…
XXXXSaida gave an outward sigh turning her head slightly to the side so she could stare off to the right. And you’re such a joy to listen to… It wasn’t until she heard the haunting chuckle of Phantom that she closed her eyes. Apparently they had amused him once again. What he ever found amusing between them would always be a mystery to her. Fine… So she told them what had been weighing on her mind for a while now. Sylphy, being herself, seemed rather upset about it whereas Phantom was quiet. I’m just tired… she went on to say and for the rest of the trip she sat in silence talking with her GFs about what to do.
XXXXOnce the train stopped she jolted in her seat. So it was time. Hopefully she’d be able to say and do what was needed. Her stomach twisted and clutched at the thought. Pulling her things together she moved with the group off the train and back into Winhill. The last time she’d been here was with Maris, Momo, and Salem. This time it wouldn’t be pleasantries. Footsteps crunched against the fresh fallen snow as the wind whipped at the uniform and weapons before it died down in the cover of buildings. The once cheerful crowd soon became dead quiet. It seemed to fit the theme for tonight. No doubt they didn’t want any harm to come to them. Fear in their eyes they quickly moved away. Cowards…
XXXXAs Maris stopped when they neared the mansion Saida glanced in her direction. Her silver white hair blew and flowed around her face from the wind and obscured the goggles that Saida wore like a necklace. Their uniforms for the BIE were rather nice, different from her other gear and clothing she liked to wear but that was fine with her. It had its perks. Opening her mouth she was going to remark to Maris but stopped. Maris was telling them to stay here. What? However, any protest she might have made was silenced as the girl moved towards the mansion. Well damn. Her eyes shot to Xaris a bit annoyed before back to Maris as she watched the girl move to the door. Would Maris have it in her to hurt Salem?
XXXXWell, now what? It seemed that Momo had plans to pass the time in playing a game. Saida was all for playing games… just that it was patty-cake. A child’s game. As much as she really didn’t want to she couldn’t deny Momo. Yes, she still had a soft spot for the Moomba. So, they stood there slapping hands as her mind swirled like a mad wind blowing through. It wasn’t till Momo spotted a figure that she stopped and glared over to the man. He was either really brave or really stupid to come towards the group who were wearing obvious uniforms.
XXXXI wonder… Saida thought as she spotted the small creature next to him. What happened next seemed like a blur of movement. Blink and you might just miss something important. The sound of a gunshot sounded and echoed into the night and the figure decided at that point to make a dash towards the entrance but not before leaving the trio a present behind. Kafshë was quickly summoned in the wake of Momo taking off after the figure. ”Well, I’ll be…” It wasn’t that what the figure had left behind him was a male Sylph but the sound of a dragon crushing down on top of the building and flinging a piece at them. Quick on her toes she moved so as not to be crushed from the debris. Though, she hadn’t really needed to bother as Kafshë more or less was her shield.
XXXXHowever, anger was quick to boil in her veins as without a word Xaris thought to just leave her standing there by herself as she took off with her own GF in the air. ”GOD DAMNIT XARIS. YOU STUPID GIRL!” she half yelled half growled between her teeth. So much for ******** teamwork. Saida don’t be mad… Kafshë is still here with us. It was probably the only real thing that calmed her slightly. Staring at the mansion she saw a figure drop from the roof which had her looking upward. Another stood upon there as it stared towards the sky.
XXXXHer eyes quickly shot towards the Sylph and Kafshë. However, Sylph wasn’t there anymore. Blinking confused, she’d missed him throwing his spear into the air and de-summoning. Well, nothing could be done about it. With a nudge from Kafshë Saida quickly climbed upon the creatures back holding onto him as he leaped from the spot onto the roof of the building next to the mansion. What looked like smoke quickly filled the area from where she and Kafshë were standing moments before. Using the leverage she had Saida jumped from Kafshë to the roof of the mansion. She would have counted her blessings as Kafshë saved her from being burned alive when the smoke seemed to blow up as fire engulfed the air. Her heart thudded against her chest as she spared a glance downward before Saida stared towards a blond figure a top of the mansion. ”You’re missing out on all the fun on the ground… allow me to bring some of it up here for you.” She spoke in a low tone as she slid Aidan from her back. Saida didn’t waste time on any more small talk as she moved in on Lloyd.

I close my eyes and bleed this empty heart of all that longs to die, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxWhen faces lie and love will falter, I'm left with only time xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxAnd time will break the dreams that take the pain away... ▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃
Lisanna hovered in the sky above the mansion, watching the events unfolding below as the bitter winter wind swirled around her. There was clearly a fight, or several fights, getting underway. She was too high up to really tell what was happening exactly, but the fight that the mansion was surrounded by conflict at least suggested there were people fighting against the Galbadians. 'Who has come to my aid?'She wondered, rocking Nyale gently to try and comfort her. The girl wasn't usually very loud when she cried, which was a relief right now. 'I need to leave...'Lis thought, biting her lip. She couldn't help the people below without endangering Nyale. The sorceress took another look at the ground, taking note of all the GF's she could see. And by now there were a lot.'That one looks like...Bahamut. But that's Nona's GF. What in the world wou-'
And then a familiar voice called out her name. Lisanna looked down with surprise. Even when he pulled off his hood she couldn't at first place him in her memory, so she cautiously flew a little closer until she could see his features better, giving the larger GF's a wide berth. "Lloyd!"The young sorceress exclaimed, her wings beating as she hovered over the roof. 'The Unbroken are here!'Lis realised, astonished. She had never expected they'd turn up to help her, much less the actual leaders of the rebel group. She had only seen Lloyd on a couple of occasions in the past 2 years, and Nona and Riyel not at all. She quickly descended and alighted upon the roof in front of the young blond. He was perhaps one of the very few people Lisanna would have trusted with her child, so she stepped forwards and gave him a warm but brief hug, being careful not to squash Nyale."It's so good to see you!"She said sincerely, folding her wings behind her and smiling in relief."Do you plan to help us escape?"Her blue eyes looked up at him questioningly. She would definitely not pass up any shelter and protection they could offer her. Hearing an explosion nearby she glanced off towards the front of the mansion in alarm, and noted the mass of fire spreading across the ground."This is escalating far too quickly. Oh! My brother is inside the mansion and he might be hurt. And have you seen Kalay at all? He might be here too."Lis said urgently, taking Lloyd's wrist.
At that point another voice caught her attention and she turned to see an unfamiliar white haired girl in a Galbadian uniform approaching, drawing her weapon."Look out!"She said to Lloyd, quickly backing away from the girl and moving behind him so that he was between them. She then wasted no time in pushing off from the roof, her wings spreading as she took to the air again. She could assist him a little from up here if need be, but getting Nyale away from that woman came first. Not to mention she'd probably just get in Lloyd's way if she remained on the roof. Lisanna rose up into the sky a few safe meters and then hovered, looking down worriedly at the fight that was about to unfold on the roof. Nyale was still crying so she attempted to quieten her, cradling the child gently.
▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃ xxxxxxxxEver after never came, and I'm still waiting xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxFor a life that never was, and all the dreams I lay to rest are ghosts that keep me, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxAfter all that I've become, I am only one.
Kalay tsked as he saw Dispel swirl around him, wiping out his Ruby Light from Carbuncle. He wasn't too worried about it though. He wasn't surprised to see the Moomba's reaction to the name Laguna, seeming interested. That was cut short when the Moomba said next time, Kalay assuming that this fight wasn't over at the mention of Laguna's name. "Haste." Kalay spoke fluidly, watching as the Moomba held his paws out. Of course, Kalay was not prepared for what the Moomba roared, and it was probably evident in the surprise in his eyes. "The hell, it has that kind of magic?!" Kalay shouted, his body being throw sideways. Without the haste spell, even with his impressive speed, he wouldn't have gotten out of Meltdown much. The attack wasn't as severe as it could have been had he been caught in it, but Kalay could feel the impact on his left side even as he slipped out of the attack, landing and rolling before bringing up his right arm to his left.
'Kalay!' 'I'm fine, calm down.'
Kalay knew Carbuncle was panicking. Getting hit with meltdown was asking for all kinds of trouble, but he didn't have time to worry about it as he dropped his hand from his left arm and readied his sword. It would be foolish to charge the Moomba right now, especially with the status of Meltdown inflicted. He also remembered how fast the Moomba had hit him right away though, meaning there wasn't really anywhere he could run. If the Moomba wanted to get him, he would. It was really that simple leaving Kalay stuck as to how to proceed. Remaining here was bad, with what sounded like Bahamut raging on the roof, but trying to run was just as bad with the Moomba ready to strike without a moment of hesitation. With readied sword, Kalay started to back up, ready and waiting for the Moomba's move.
With thrust of her weight, the door to Lisanna's room shattered, splinters flying and the remains of the door hanging from it's hinges as the Bureau operative came bursting through. Gun raised, Maris aimed it left and right, eyes scanning the room for trace of the young mother and her young babe. Neither were to be found, but the evidence of someone being in the room was apparent, the person having taken no time to cover the tracks that marked their escape. From the billowing curtains, and the open window, Maris had a key guess as to where the mother went, not bothering with searching the room for hiding places.
Running up to the window, she aimed the gun downwards, to the ground. 'She didn't jump?' Maris thought, seeing neither Lisanna or trace of her in the snow below. 'Don't tell me...' Maris looked up, and sure enough there was the target. Had she not been searching for something out of the ordinary Maris might have passed the dark, flapping figure in the sky as a large bird, a crow or a raven. But there was no doubt in her mind that this was Lisanna. 'Bloody sorceresses and their magic...' Maris thought, watching as Lisanna disappeared over the lip of the house beyond her field of vision. There wasn't going to be an easy way climbing up by hand, and Maris hadn't exactly prepared for scaling with this mission so she lacked the usual tools she might have used instead. Which left her with only one option, but immediately she was regretting it.
Beside her, a golden figure shimmer into existence. The space in the air warped and rippled, and a golden warmth filled the small space of air before Maris. When the light show passed, a warrior, bearing a spear half as tall as it was, stood, adorned in golden armor and wearing the helm forged into the shape of a wolf's head, with a tassel of red hair sticking up in the back like a warriors ponytail. A armored warrior was lithe in shape, and even despite the uniformly genderless armor it would have been obvious to the careful observer that this was a woman. Or at least, a Guardian Force that was sexually female.
"Bryn, baby, so good to see you! Look, I know it's been a while, and this probably isn't the best time but... I need to pull a favor." The armored valkyrie turned it's head, and although Maris wasn't able to see Brynhildr's eyes she could tell she was staring distinctively out the window. "It's dark." Brynhildr commented, "And snowing." She added coldly, turning to Maris. "You know I dislike the winter, Aeliana." "Yeah, yeah, I know. Skies of blue, clouds of white, and trees of green, I know! And you know I wouldn't call you, but I'm sort of in a hurry here! Lisanna the sorceress is carrying a baby. Grab the baby and bring her to either myself, Saida, or Xaris; whoever you find first. But whatever you do, don't let that child come to harm!" Brynhildr seemed to bristle, but nodded. "As you wish. However..."
"I know, I know, I'll take care of it!" Nodding in satisfaction, the GF stepped forward and put a foot on the sill of the window and took off. Rather than jumping and falling straight downwards, as one might have expected of the golden-clad warrior, the wolf-headed spear maiden shot towards the sky, resembling something akin to a golden lightning bolt that pierced the dark sky as it flew swiftly upwards and then too disappeared over the lip of the mansion in pursuit of Lisanna on invisible wings. Turning away from the window to the door out of the room. 'Time to get Momo. It's time we ditched this joint.' She thought. She was concerned about that explosion she heard outside the room. And by the noises she was hearing outside. But one thing at a time, and between Xaris, Saida, and Bryn, Maris had no doubts that the three would be able to handle whatever it was that was going on outside.
Maris strode out of the room, suitcase in one hand revolver and raised up beside her head with the barrel pointing for the ceiling. When she exited the room, and came in view of the entrance, and Kalay, she leveled the gun instantly, and pulled the trigger. One shot, two shots, she fired all six rounds from the revolver's chamber, firing them in rapid succession one after another. And no sooner had she fired each round she'd dropped her suitcase and pulled out yet another speedloader, reloading the firearm with frightening speed and precision.
The first shot was aimed for where Kalay was, but the following shots Maris aimed for where she predicted him to be. He would try to dodge, no question of that, but Maris wasn't an expert gunslinger for nothing, and she'd be a shoddy one at that if she couldn't hit a moving target, no matter how fast it was moving. He may have his movement speed, but Maris had her reaction speed, and this would be a test to see who was faster.

Up on the roof, the Guardian Force Brynhildr hovered above, surveying the situation of the "battlefield". She spotted Saida right away, standing on the roof with Lisanna, whom Brynhildr knew about indirectly through Maris, and another young man who was unfamiliar to the Guardian Force. Moving stiffly, like a statue being lifted about by an invisible hand, maneuvered herself so that she was behind Lisanna and Lloyd's field of range. Raising her shield arm, and leveling the head of her spear with Lisanna's back, the Guardian Force remained still for an instant, and then charged, flying towards Lisanna at the speed of an arrow.

Gunshots from the front; it sounded like they came from inside. A voice came from the mic at her collar; Nipal, then Vicaria’s answer. ”Get them out of here now. I can’t keep Bahamut around much longer, so he’s not much of an exit,” she warned.
The bottom floor had turned up nothing of substance; all the bedrooms must have been up above. And for some reason (probably purely to frustrate her), the architect had decided against any stairs except in the main room. Nona avoided heading to the front until all other options had been exhausted; her last stop was the kitchen. The place was barren of any people, but Nona hesitated to pass it by. A gleam caught her eye. Grateful for her Float spell, she wafted across the floor with nary a sound, coming up to the counter near one of the sinks. Lying on a cutting board was a distinctive url=http://images.knifecenter.com/thumb/1500x1500/knifecenter/united/images/UC2786nw.jpg]knife. Nona sheathed her sword on a moment of reflection and ducked down under the sink, searching in the dim light. The house was old, and old houses needed certain equipment. Nona felt a twinge of hesitation when she reached for one of the bottles down there…Then she saw once more the cracked flesh that inched out along the back of her palm. Her expression hardened and she took both bottles, tucking one into her belt and keeping the other in-hand. She picked up the knife from the cutting board and gave the bottle a careful cut along one side, then tucked the knife into her bag.
She hastened down the hall toward the front.
Nona opened the door beneath the stairs without a sound, peeking out. The scene there was not quite what she expected. She could sense Bahamut just beyond the wall, but between the two of them…Laytos, looking rough, squaring off against…was that a Moomba? The Hell was a Moomba- s**t. In Nona’s eyes, information came almost unbidden. A name, its condition, spells, weaknesses. It had spells, and it was here, now. It must be the BIE’s little mascot…Well, that made her feel a bit guilty again, but the madness passed quickly. Everett was lying on the ground; no telling his condition from there. Did she dare risk it?
Gunshots rang out from above, cutting short her time to think. Nona’s nostrils flared, and she sent a simple command to Bahamut.
Roar.
The dragon king did. He bellowed a challenge in turn to the two guardian forces standing before him. The air within and without filled with the all-encompassing sound, suppressing all other noise. It even made his spell seem mute. He beat his great wings as magic filled the air, rushing out before him. A torrential wind swept up the plaza in front of the manor, hurling flora and debris into the air. It came from all around, encompassing both of the beasts. Even the devil’s reflective spell was no use against the cutting winds.
Between her Float spell and the deafening noise outside, Nona’s approach didn’t make a sound, gliding above the marbled floor. The Moomba was between her and the two men, with its attention on Laytos. She held the bottle high, its cap missing, and splashed a handful of powdered lye all along his furred backside.
That done, she changed course, whirling in the air as she did her best to put herself between Everett and the two assailants. At last she had a look at the woman above…and boy, what a look. Information poured into Nona’s brain, both enlightening and disturbing. It was Laytos that concerned her at the moment, though. Magic surrounded Nona, and she thrust out her other hand toward him, a steel derringer in it. ”Esuna!” she proclaimed, white motes of magic swirling from her toward Laytos to envelop him, alleviating him of his afflictions.
”Everett’s on the roof with the kid. We need to get out of here now,” she informed, blunt as ever.

The Moomba: Momo
Name: Momo the Adorables Location: In the Myeerddle of it. Level: Fifteen Health: Full! Status: Acting. Hunger: Antimomo. ___________________________
Did he smell or... taste it? See it? Or did the Moomba actually know what it was pretty much in a better position right now, so, instead of say... chasing down Kalay or moving in, he waited there, prepared to make a move when Kalay did. It really was simple, to be honest. If Kalay wasn't going to make a move and give Momo and opening, well, he could stand around until Kalay's haste ran out, or the roof falls in because of a stupid dragon that had decided to land on the roof.
How did he know about Bahamut? Well, Kafshe told him. Still, his feline eyes were trained on his opponents, taking a step forward withe very step that Kalay made backwards. There was only so much distance he could get before the wall hit him, and if he planned to go through the window, well, that would be fine. He had friends on the other side. Letting his tail sway from side to side, passively waiting for his foe, his nose twitched when it detected a new presence.
Gunshots roared from behind him, bullets zipping above and past him towards the green haired man that Momo harbored no love for. Though, it was nice, the small standstill they had managed was gone now that Maris had returned. However another number came into play. Someone else was behind him. His smell had picked her out as a 'new thing but familiar' as Kalay had been at first. But instead of showing that it knew, he continued to play passive, waiting for the moment to whip around and maul this new comer, before returning his attention to Kalay. The dangerous one in this situation. His speed was enough for even Momo to be wary of.
Bang. The gun went, a extra bullet hitting something behind him. The sound was different. Closer, much more impactful as it hit something. It sounded like glass, shattering. Whoever was holding that probably had a cut up hand beyond what anyone would like. But still, turning wouldn't have been a good idea, now as it was. Like the wind, he was gone, in a flash he was behind Nona, his arms spread wide again before she could hope to move out of the way, or cast a helpful spell on her ally. "Meltdown!" The Moomba roared.
Even Kalay with his great speed couldn't fully dodge and he wasn't this close. Nona was a easy shot here, and even better, he had both of the opponents before him. If it worked well and Kalay's frantic avoidance of Maris' bullets worked, maybe, just on a lucky stroke, he'd stumble into another Meltdown blast.

Xaris stood by as Diablos began to take action against the tall GF that stood before him. She was waiting for Saida to catch up, but even amidst through the hectic fighting and noise Xaris notice the commotion going on in front of her. A man had appeared with a small like creature, and to her surprise Saida did show up, but not before the creature was able to nearly catch Saida off guard and spitting some kind of black like substance. Xaris took this as a chance to fire at the creature. She removed her handgun from her waist belt, aimed directly at the creature and fired 3 rounds. Then suddenly a large burst of flames lit up the area, and not only that but Kafshe appeared quickly from behind her, and took off towards the mansion. When Xaris looked above Kafshe she saw that Saida had hitched a ride with him before the flames consumed her. She didn't know if she struck the creature directly but she did aim directly at the creature's mouth. Once she knew Saida had made it safely she began to cast a spell. "Haste!"
She casted the spell just in case she needed a extra boost in fighting the man and his little creature. Not wanting to get in burning range of the man since Saida almost fell at risk of it Xaris stayed at a distance readying her handgun. If he or the creature was able to avoid any damage from the first three rounds she would fire the other three rounds before she would she would put the gun back at her waist and pull out the second handgun. Even through the fighting that was taking place she hoped that Saida and the rest of the group would be ok. All of them were at a distance with each other as far as she knew, but she trusted them enough that they were capable of taking care of themselves. Xaris would have to prove that she was capable of doing the same.
Meanwhile near the front entrance Kafshe, and Diablos were ready to take on Bahamut. The beast roared causing a burst of wind to strike against Diablos. Diablos used his wings to block direct damage to his body, and once the wind stopped he merely laughed before shrugging off the pain in his wings. Bahamut knew how to pack a punch but Diablos thought how the self proclaimed king of GFs would do weel against his two attacks. Diablos directed his hand out to Bahamut and spoke one word."Gravija!"The dark like energy formed around Bahamut, and while it surrounded Bahamut Diablos spoke through a direct link to Kafshe."My time is at its end. He's all yours. Use my distraction well." After speaking diablos vanished in a burst of bats flying into the distance.
Kalay got lucky, with his positioning he could see a figure up on the second floor exit a room, and a faint flick of his eyes was all he needed to realize that he was in trouble. He couldn't dodge the first shot fully though, only managing to twist his body lightly so that instead of it piercing through his chest and killing him instantly, it tore through his shoulder and out the other side. After that, he didn't waste time. Maris was an expert shot though, Kalay moving back and to the side back and forth to avoid. The first shot was the most dangerous one, having probably broken his shoulder bone if he had to take a guess. It certainly felt like it, to say the least. Another clipped his arm as he moved, leaving a clean cut through the side of it, and another clipped his side. Of the 6 shots he'd completely dodged 3, but had taken a major hit to his shoulder, and two minor hits. With Meltdown in effect, the bullets were just passing through him at this point, which he was kind of grateful for, but they still hurt.
He thought he might have had a break, but Maris had already reloaded by the time he had gotten his bearings, luckily Nona arrived at that point and dealt with his meltdown effect. Not only that, she also seemed to go for Momo, distracting Maris for just a moment. In that moment, Carbuncle flashed into life next to Kalay. "Kalay!" He ignored her concern as he winced, pulling up his bloodied hand to his necklace. The Moomba had taken this point to use Meltdown, but Kalay was far out of the way, and had the time he needed. Green light flashed on Kalay's wounds, healing his minor ones and partially tending to his shoulder wound that had already bleed cleanly through his shirt. There was a snap, the sound of the pendant that had hung around Kalay's neck for years, finally giving way as he pulled sharply on it. "If you do that...!"
'They'll kill me and Nona at this rate. And I don't know Lis is safe.'
The pendant was tossed aside, Carbuncle catching it before darting off. "Nona! Go!" Something changed drastically. At some point Kalay had sheathed his sword and somehow obtained a new weapon. It was a dark green along the shaft, all the way to either end of it where a bright ruby blade was visible with a cross guard, making it look like a double ended spear. If Maris had been watching, she might have noticed it materialize out of thin air almost, but it definitely looked like an idealized weapon for the GF carbuncle. The weapon itself seemed to be shimmering faintly, as if it weren't real. If Maris tried to shoot him, she'd have been surprised to see that her bullets seemed to redirect around him. The wind was pushing away from him as he flicked his free hand out, his left hand. The air shifted between Momo and Nona before suddenly solidifying into a material like glass, though they would find getting through it was much harder than if it was actually glass.
"Pierce the sky." Kalay suddenly hefted back his spear. What happened next left little doubt to what was going on. Feathers fell to the ground behind Kalay, a mix of yellow green and blue, the spear/staff suddenly lighting up with a red light. He didn't hesitate a moment longer, suddenly launching the weapon up at Maris like a cannon. Wings beat around Kalay slowly as the weapon shot through the air. Assuming Maris had the sense to get out of the way, it wouldn't be so bad for her. The spear would simply hit the wall and explode, sending wind rush away from the point of impact like little needles, leaving scratched and cuts in the wall and ground, while the area of impact was left with deep gashes. Discouraging any further actions against him, behind him clear blades seemed to be forming in the air, twirling with the wind as Kalay's yellow eyes narrowed. Several of the blades launched themselves at Momo as Kalay stood there, his attention focused on both Momo and Maris.
With him standing there like that, he looked every part of a sorcerer, feathery, multicolored wings beating behind him on his back as he stood with his hand outstretched, the blades twirling in the air behind him.
