"Regretfully," the Pyramidkind replied, long-suffering, "familiars are part of ...our faction."
He peered at the being called 'Monty' that was quickly scooped up by his reticent owner.
"My boilfriend is a canine student," Ash said. "With a swarm of puppies I am sure that would love to make your acquaintance."
There was a ghoul who waved a star around after declaring that they should all be naked. "Are you devoid of intelligence completely, or do you suffer from some sort of disability that makes you..." Ash didn't even have words. He took in a deep breath and exhaled heavily through his nose, searching for an appropriately apt word.
"Indecent."

Eyes wide and cheeks flushed, Emily bounced on her feet, exclaiming "Ohhhh, puppies!" Her hands made excited little grabby motions, as if that would somehow summon one into her grasp.

Freya giggled like a - well, like herself. "Emily said privates."
And then Ash insulted her, to which she answered by holding up her hand, with the star on it, right at his face. She kept it there, her eyes wide. As if that explained everything.
Then she reached up and pointed at it.

A glorious invention a skellyphone was. It had taken Circe all this time to finally get one but now that she had one it was hard to imagine life without it. One great reason was that she could receive alerts to things on campus without having to mull over all the various posters that sometimes had nothing to do with anything. Before engaging in the topic of a familiar Circe wrote down her suggestions for the Reaper dorms colors which had absolutely no relation to her own wardrobe color choices whatsoever.
After she'd turned in her suggestions Circe found herself unable to come up with a familiar that could be used to represent a Reaper since, she herself had none. Then she got an idea. "What if we have a zombie rat instead for the familiar!" Okay, so she'd merely combined the idea already thrown out with her own necromancing ability. Couldn't hurt a girl for trying though. "There is nothing regretful about havin' a familiar," Kettil mumbled darkly for a moment. "I'm proud that I have an owl! Though she doesn't seem to be i--"
"I'm right here," The Owl murmured near him on a perch peering down at him.
Kettil tilted his head up, "Endddyyy~~~.." He beamed up at her. He was suitably distracted by his familiar to not notice the shenanigans his ghoulfriend was getting into with Ash.

Ash shook his head slowly at the both of them.
He paused, searching for words.
And then repeated his previous actions.
"No naked," he said slowly, in a voice slightly louder than usual. "None."

Emily moved to place a comforting hand on Freya's arm, "Maybe we could name the mascot Naked?" She raised her eyebrows at the blonde and nodded encouragingly. "Like Naked the Cat!" Despite transforming and quieting Mr. Monty, she did agree with him. It really should be a cat. Obviously.
She gave Ash a thumb's up. Don't worry, bro. Emily's got this.

Freya put her hand down and pouted up at the big helmet, trying to figure him out. What did he have against being naked? Was he ugly? Did he have three nipples? Because a lot of people would have thought that was super sex-
"OH. MY. JACK." She squealed, flipping around to Emily and hopping up and down in excitement. "That is likes. The best ideas. EVER!" She clapped her hands and wiggled, overly excited about it. "NAKED THE CAT!"

Endzela clicked her beak and simply stated, "Cats are hardly impressive. Naked or not."
Kettil reached up and rubbed at Endzela's feathers with fingertips, "Don't be a grumpy bird. That's the problem with using an animal mascot. Some have biases for animals...Then you add vocal familiars into the mix we'll never get anything done."

Endzela tucked the seeds away in the clandestine way that only a owl of her wondrous abilities could manage and then added in a matter-of-fact way, "If we wanted a good mascot we would pick owls or something that can fly to show that we are above our opponents in all ways."
At least she was a little humble.
Kettil meanwhile let out a bit of a groan, "Can we just move on to the motto for now and get back to the whole mascot thing?"
He had things he wanted to do.

RAs! His brain baby was now a thing! A real thing! Mot sat trying not to squeal, drowning himself in coffee with a smile on his face. He was just so happy they were being implemented. Although Freya seemed to be a rather vocal RA. No matter. Energy was a good thing to have in an RA. He hoped. "How about a skeletal horse and a scythe?" It was staple reaper stuff. Sparrow was, predictably, thrilled to hear of the news that he had been made a Resident Assistant. All things considered, he had been a little worried about fitting in correctly, especially seeing as how his encounters with the other students had been somewhat limited since coming to Amityville.
Still, learning that he had been made an RA so quickly after attending made him feel as though he were actually starting to become something already - and the boost of confidence was definitely needed, he decided.
Sparrow stood somewhere at the back of the room, absently toying with a handful of shadows, which he was shaping into some sort of ball to toss from one hand to the other. He was watching the goings-on with a sort of interested curiosity, though he held back a little hesitantly, waiting a little before he said anything.
The other dorm RA, Freya, was at the very least, very enthusiastic, which Sparrow took to be a very good sign.

A nervous sorceror in a grey coat and hat snuck in. He had brown hair, and a clean face. The only decorative thing about him was a lock, hung from his breast pocket. He had not eaten in a while. He looked hopefully for a snack table, and not seeing one, quietly took a sheet of paper from the pile.
For whatever reason, he did not actually have a residence on campus, because he hadn't filled out any paperwork or looked into the appropriate forms, which was very unlike him. He'd taken care of it this morning, just in time for a meet and greet.
At the word naked, he clapped his hand over his mouth and made a muffled sound, then cleared his throat.
Right. Forms.
He took a fresh pencil from his pocket, and wrote in a color that was respectable.
"I think a cat is a good idea," he ventured. "Or, we could use a quill and inkpot. That's a sort of weapon. With inky cat paws nearby. Or," he cleared his throat, "a sword, with pawprints in blood. Euughh. Rikki grimaced at the form, holding his pen over it for a long moment. Did he really want to participate in this? Was it worth it? Wait. Would there be consequences if he didn't? For the sake of not ending up in the princess corner or something, he scrawled his answers quickly.
