Zia stopped, completely dumbfounded at first. And then she realized what he was doing and pulled her hands back, keeping them folded close to her chest as she cringed in mild horror.
"...Ew."
She leaned back when he moved his hips but when he started undoing his fuku she scurried back. Way back. Like clinging to Kallichore's arm back. She wanted to see Orpheus purified and out of his court and all, but there was still a deep running bigotry about how disgusting in general the Dark Mirror state of being was. Also Orpheus was gross.
Things were sinking in and processing, though, and she shook her head in a mild reboot before smacking Kallichore in the back of the head.
"I'm seriously thinking about switching sides, Zia," She said in a mocking tone and a scowl. "The ******** is wrong with you?"
Now that the moment was lacking all the furious passion, she was acting like Kallichore just picked a terrible vacation spot. "You," She pointed at Orpheus but clearly didn't want to get close enough to smack him. No thanks, she was comfortable clinging to Kallichore who was safe and not so creepy. She occasionally needed a reminder that Orpheus was still the senshi who pinned her down in that alleyway and needed to be treated like a captive experiment, not a puppy.
"Who upgraded you with Queen b***h gone? ********. How?"
She exhaled in a frustrated huff. "Is there something in the water or what?" In a typical 'surrounded by idiots' attitude.

Orpheus had no shame about his body so instead of promptly doing up his fuku he simply left it the way it was. If he could hide the one thing he was ashamed of the girls would no longer be standing here with Sailor Orpheus but instead a young man named Pascal Lalande. Better yet, he'd just never appear as Sailor Orpheus again. However, this was the only way he could try and solve his problem.
Amber eyes fell on Kallichore's back as a smirk slipped across his face. However, it immediately went away when he watched Zia practically flee from him to her. Sometimes he forgot that her boyfriend Pascal and Sailor Orpheus were two different people in her eyes. He knew it was better that way but sometimes he just forgot. It was hard to turn the switch off, and sometimes it was just easier to be a jackass to cope.
"There was a mirror..." he said with utter disgust. "Remarque was there... and a cat... I... I don't remember a lot after the mirror to be honest."
He didn't remember a lot of the details because he spent most of it absolutely in terror from his fear of mirrors. Maybe Zia would remember how he always freaked out over hers and maybe she would connect the dots but there wasn't much he could do about it.

The eternal looked at Zia and sighed, shoulders slumping. Yes, she deserved the mockery for her moment of self-pity, whining and weakness. But didn't everyone? "Yes Zia... I know... I'm sorry." And she didn't have much else to say about that. How else can one admit they were being a weak, whiny douchecanoe? Really. SMACK!Yeah, deserved that too. Kallichore winced a bit but didn't retaliate, knowing full well that it was coming. Zia was like a mother disciplining her child when they failed their test because of lack of study. It was embarrassing and completely avoidable with effort. Not that Kallichore's moral crisis could have been avoided very easily. She'd have to take some time to herself and process exactly how she got to that point and whether or not she could pull herself out of it. Hearing Orpheus' story made Kallichore cringe and turn around. "So the practice of mirror baptism is still alive and well. Lovely. But knowing she's gone... I wonder if that means no more senshi will be forced into her court, unknowingly or otherwise?" If no further Dark Mirror senshi could be created, that could be a small victory for the side of light. Ares wouldn't be able to bolster her ranks though... where did she disappear to? "Did... anyone say where or why she left? I mean, did she abandon all of you?"

"...Is Remarque in a leadership position?" Zia asked after a moment of silence following Orpheus' answers and Kallichore's questions. "I've... I've heard that name before."
She ended up scowling at the asphalt while she thought it over. Maybe Lesath would tell her the next time they met up. "How long has she been gone? Do you know? Lesath and Aurora both seemed confused about court inner workings but I just thought they were being passively manipulative to avoid questions."
She was still thinking of this when he head lulled to the side. "Ares leaves people. S'wat she does. Maybe she got bored and went off to build Court version two point zero zero point five oh."
Zia looked at Kallichore and tapped the crescent branding Ares had burned into her own chest. "After all the work she put into the BMC, and before that Nehelenia's court, you really think she has any loyalties anywhere?

Sailor Orpheus simply stood there with his arms crossed and his fuku half opened. He looked at Kallichore with an obvious hatred and to Zia with suspect. Amber eyes narrowed slightly upon hearing so much discussion of the woman he hated and his weight shifted back and forth upon the addition of Remarque into the conversation. Remarque held a special place in Orpheus' heart as the man who kept getting in his way.
"I am not sure how long nor do I think anyone else can pinpoint a time frame. A selfish woman like her surely would be so frivolous as to abandon her 'court' at a whim without any notice," he said, her fingers making quotations around the word court.
"I have heard no reason as to why though and I suspect no one knows. Frankly no one seems to care, at least Remarque doesn't. If I were to guess he's happy she's gone. I wouldn't be surprised if he is in a position of power or is pushing to be because he's a real mother ******** a*****e who keeps getting in my way."
And then Orpheus started mumbling inconclusively about something in quite a rage.

So the Court was in a state of flux? That was something Kallichore had not expected, not with Ares' iron fist. Perhaps there was hope? Zia was right though - with how Ares tore apart the Blood Moon to make the Dark Mirror, was anyone truly surprised she left yet again? "Maybe she thought of you all as toys and decided to pick up and go play elsewhere. She seemed more interested in space than anything on Earth but why she'd want dead planets is beyond me..." Kallichore shook her head. Orpheus seemed pretty unhappy with her, not that she blamed him. They were on opposite sides. "For what it's worth, Orpheus, I'm sorry you were dragged into this against your will and then abandoned. No one deserves that." Least of all the people who didn't want to be involved to begin with.

Zia looked on Orpheus with pity as he shared his information at what seemed like terrible stress on his state of mind.
"You're very helpful, you know, you shouldn't be so hopeless." He looked like he needed a hug. But he was also pretty creepy so maybe someone else could hug him later.
She flippantly shrugged off Kallichore's statement of Ares' interests. "Dumb b***h is suicidal is what it is. She thinks she can pull a Nehelenia with less power and outnumbered at a greater ratio for a bigger reward. Maybe she realized how stupid that was, especially when you leave your tactician behind because she's not quite ready to go die a horrible death."
Massive eye roll alert.
"I told her this when she dragged me into mirrorspace, but she just got all weepy and angry about it. Maybe it sunk in. Whatever."
But now her attention was on Kallichore. "The war itself is stupid. There's a reason I ignored it for so long in favor of parallel politics. There have been other wars before, after, infinitely to the end of the cosmos. Don't be a ******** moron and think who wins or loses this lost, ******** up game of capture the flag has any importance. Especially when no one remembers what the stupid flag is. Both sides cause suffering for lost causes," And she extended a hand in gesture to Orpheus. "Even corrupt senshi suffer."
She let it hang in the air there, leaving something unsaid. She didn't think it was especially productive to mention a more extremist view of where the weakness of willing corruption fell, and what she thought was a suitable way to deal with it's perpetrators.
"Anyway!" She chirped, trying to sound not-so-serious and bouncing on her feet as she released Kallichore and bounced back to Orpheus, making a dramatic presentation gesture to his person. "Orpheus is one of a few Dark Mirror senshi I have spoken to who would like to break ties with their court! We are currently seeking ways to break Ares' hold on him, but additionally! Possibly cure his starseed back to normal humanity."
Usually Zia had no taste for senshi that wanted to shun powers they were so lucky to have. But this was different. Orpheus was stuck with the invasiveness of the mirror like she was. And if he had a way out, maybe she could take it too.
"Senshi cause a lot of pain and destruction. Rather than lobotomize himself like a p***y, he would rather quit. This is a much more rational thing to do, doncha think?" Wink wink, nudge nudge.

All this talk about him and the court definitely put Sailor Orpheus into a foul mood and it was obvious. His arms were crossed defensively and a scowl was firmly across his face. He didn't say anything or make any motion that he was unhappy with this but it was obvious. He just stood there near Zia like a bodyguard, giving Kallichore an acknowledging look when she apologized to him.
Yeah, she had a lot to apologized for. He didn't know her but he definitely blamed her as an older senshi for part of what happened to him.
"I can save you a lot of trouble by breaking your skull in now if you want to be a p***y."
Okay, maybe the anger was welling up a little too much.
