Reese nodded along and quietly decided that she would take all the classes.
All of them. The point of coming to this school was first and foremost education. And free housing. But
mostly education. She wasn't going to waste this chance and go through school just to come out of it nearly as ignorant and unprepared as she was going in. The talk of battles had her frowning in confusion. Fighting wasn't exactly the kind of thing Reese thought she'd be learning here.
Which just goes to show she should have been paying closer to attention in the first place.Standing straighter, the ghost began listening to Junko and reviewing the list with an almost comical intensity. Silently she tried to commit as much to memory as possible for later review, just absorbing facts as much as she could without interruption. Until Junko paused and Reese's stomach let its own demand be heard.
Reese openly stared down at it with a sort of mortified curiosity. She hadn't eaten since...
she had never eaten before. Frowning she looked up at Junko with an awkward sort of shrug, unsure what to do with this development. Was she
actually hungry? Did ghosts even need to eat? What did ghosts eat?! What if she had a defective stomach, instead?
Would the school give her a new one?
