Like, I know when I'm doing posts and stuff, if I want to colour what I'm saying two colours, I can do
[color=red]This is the primary colour of the text here [color=darkred]secondary text colour here[/color] and now I'm back to writing in the original colour.
You can't do that in the guilds, you have to close all of your tags. Always.
[color=red]like, you know, blahblah[/color] [color=darkred]colour SWIIIIITCH[/color] [color]=red]end talking[/color]
See, even doing that screwed the ever-loving hell out of my post format.
It's a lot of small crap in the code that'll get you and completely ******** everything. ✗✗

And So The Universe Ended ✗✗ Mainly just remember to close ALL of your tags, even the very last colour tag if you're writing in a mono-colour.
Doing list code is really the worst...
And turning code that worked in the forums into code that works in a guild is a pain.

Yeah, I mean I might throw in a plot here and there for direction, but mostly free play.
Expanding the world is an very apt depiction of what I want. Stories and main plots can be formed for characters who become a part of this world in the future.
Never knew there was a coding for G vs. BT. But I have experience with seriously pain in the a** coding. I made a BT coding work in PMs which is apparently not the same system. So... I feel for you.

✗✗ It's not so much different coding so much as old coding.
When the guilds stopped being popular, Gaia stopped really maintaining them and they haven't updated the base-level 'how things work in here' code in years.
There was some stuff going on a few years ago during one of the spring cleaning dealies, but I don't actually know what came of it.
I remember it not being a good solution, though. ✗✗

Oh, I don't even wanna think about converting my post formats... *pats on head and comforts* Okay, that all just sounds cool. Like we're becoming a part of the world while helping create it. As for my RP thing, it's more a matter of fearing theft of ideas, concept or the world as a whole. It seems safer in a Guild than in Barton Town but the concern will always linger.
I want to hopefully turn these into novels, famous or not I want to try and have them there and know I did it. So to have the rug pulled out from under me over this -points at gaia- would be rather depressing.
