"You've got some very definite ideas about tentacles," Jordan said, and couldn't keep his expression serious for more than a few seconds before he started laughing.

"It's your fault with all the... runic condom talk you guys made. What else am I supposed to think?" Al was not impressed Jordan.

"I never said anything about the tentacles, only that there were tentacles, and thank you so much for reminding me of that trauma, oh my God," Jordan said, but he was still grinning. "I'm just saying you seem to have some expectations about the way tentacles should be behaving."

"It's pretty clear where tentacles came into play." Al pouted excessively, "stop making it sound like I'm a perv!"

"What, is that a bad thing?" Jordan couldn't help laughing, some of the tension of the past couple of days easing a little with his amusement.

Jordan paused to let Al catch up and gave him a gentle, friendly punch to the shoulder. "I'm teasing you, dude."

Al rubbed his instantly sore shoulder, "Oh my god dude. That hurt, don't forget you're a full hunter - I'm not."

"Sorry. Nuru will take care of that bruise by tonight, though," Jordan said cheerfully. "Good dog." He turned north as the path ran out, scanning the horizon, and nodded as he caught sight of a Sun he knew peripherally heading in their direction. "Nothing to report," he told her as she got closer. "All quiet along my segment."
"Great, that means it'll pop up on mine," the woman groused, and headed off along the rockier section of the path, grumbling under her breath.
"Have a nice day," Jordan called after her. She didn't look back, but raised a middle finger at him as she walked away. Jordan turned back towards the complex, chuckling. "Coffee time?" he asked Al.

Al muttered as Nuru perked up in his thoughts. 'Ah like this wan still.' Al watched the female sun hunter and smiled. Only snapping out of it finally at Jordan's question, "Uh..buh.. uh. Oh! YES! COFFEE!" He glanced back at the female sun as she disappeared, "I thought suns were like... all male?"

"Why did you think that Suns were only male?" Jordan asked, keeping his tone curious instead of accusing.

"I... don't know. I guess I just did? Every sun I've met has been... well, I guess." Al shrugged.

"I know a few Sun women," Jordan nodded. "Not sure what the percentage is, but it's a decent balance." He laughed. "They'll kick your a** just as hard, too."
