The Slugma seemed disinclined to be helpful and sank back into its puddle. There was just enough room to edge by around it, but it was rather hot. Naka could stand the heat, but he wasn't sure if his teammate would. "I can carry you around it if you like," he offered to Jubilee.

Jubilee smiled, "Thanks for the offer, but I got this." she assured and dripped a small amount of water on the slugma. The pokemon visibly cringed and oozed out of the way. "Yay, we can go now!" she chirped and moved on.

A numel soon approached Jubilee, and just started to stare dumbly at her.
"Have we met before?"
"Nu?"
"Okay then!" Jubilee tried to get by, but the other blocked her. "What? You want a snack? Sorry, we don't have any snacks--"
"Nummmmelll."

They stared at each other for a while before the numel decided to believe Jubilee and moved out of the way.
"That was strange." she giggled.

The exchange with the Numel reminded Naka of something. "Hey, we haven't found any Cheri berries this time. They were all over the place last time we were in here! I guess whoever dropped them came and picked them up or something." He started poking around for something interesting.

He poked along, being careful to avoid cracks he couldn't see the back of, but didn't find anything.

Jubilee poked around the room with her stick. She turned over a few rocks too, just in case there were hidden objects laying about.

Nothing again. Jubilee wondered briefly if the pokemon who dropped the berries also collected some other interesting things on their way back.
... Or that the numels ate everything.

"Hmm, looks like we picked a quieter path this time," Naka mused as he poked around. "Maybe this one isn't used as much?" While less trouble was nice, it also meant less goodies to take back. It was also less interesting.

As Naka poked around, he spotted a small glass thing. Thinking it was more water, he picked it up only to find it was cloudy. "Is that...smoke?" he asked, holding it up for Jubilee to see. "How weird."
