"... You sure like harping on the same topic," Ariane replied with a sigh, "Remember what I said about making your own fun? Applies to me too, but I don't really feel like sharing what I personally consider fun... If you want something fun to play with so bad, why not spend your first few paychecks on a bouncy castle or something?"
... This topic might be annoying her, just a little. Did he not realize the fact that he was pretty much now part of a military facility?

Ian's smirk grew a little wider. "Only when the topic is interesting to me," he said casually. "And rest assured, I'll be happy to - what is it you said, make my own fun? That's a relatively easy thing to do."
He waved a noncommittal hand. "Sorry, sorry," said Ian with a grin. "You're probably thinking I'm a lazy b*****d, aren't you? Only looking for a good time?"

"Darling," he said. "I never make a good first impression. And usually I don't stick around long enough to make a better one."
He shrugged. "I'm not exactly Mr. Nice, so I never expect others to think so."
