She sighed. What an annoying twist, even she could appreciate that. He didn't make it seem like it was a short trip here and if the mountain was closer to his home then it certainly wasn't. He wasn't an Ela'wadiyi lion, that was very clear, but perhaps he was from another pride around the mountains.. or not far from them.
"Unlucky now but perhaps lucky in the long run," she offered optimistically, "Your trip now just got longer but perhaps it will turn out to be a shorter distance for future visits."
That had to count for something, right!

"That's true enough," Avahk admitted with a small smile. He still didn't relish the thought of all that wasted time and effort getting here, but at least he now knew where to find Tseva! That was more than he'd known before.
"Well, if I've got so far to travel, I should probably get going," the lion continued. "Thanks for your help!" She was as nosy as Aunt Aysu, and he was less likely to talk to a gossip that he wasn't related to in the least.

She smiled and watched him go, pleased to have found yet another lost lion looking for the Jini-msemi.. even if this wasn't exactly the kind of lost lion she had been aiming for.
