Brucette was hoofing it. Harland wasn't sure if that meant his Camel liked the cold weather and found it envigorating, or it wanted to get the hell out of Dodge.

Fascinatingly enough, Bandits stole half his bandage supply. If he wasn't so busy trying to chase them down on foot and returning, annoyed, he would have wondered why they needed all those bandages. They must be pretty desperate.

Harland's temper faded relatively quickly, because that did occur to him, as he mounted his Camel again.

"My apologies on their behalf if they startled ye," Harland said, and then added, "Must be desperate folk to do somethin like that, an dtuigeann tú?"

At least Brucette appeared to be taking it like a champ.
Nope, not at all. For the third time on their entire stupid trip, Brucette kicked him. And when she kicked, she kicked hard.

Harland sobbed as he braced himself on the Camel's side. It may have just kicked him, true, but he didn't want to sag into the cold, wet snow any more than he wanted to enjoy being kicked.

Harland's eyes were doleful.

He was just, internally, begging Brucette not to kick him.

Over and over again.

Some of the more delicate supplies he'd brought with him had rotted away; turns out the food from the Pitstop was maybe not all a good choice for the second portion of his journey. And yet he couldn't help but feel relieved it wasn't another crack to the ribs.
