"Just a little further," Ursula murmured to her mount. She was trying her best to be soothing, which was still not very, but it didn't seem to matter one way or another to the camel.
The pitstop that appeared on the horizon was a welcome sight indeed. Even the camel seemed happy to pick up its pace at the prospect of rest.

On the road once more, Ursula was surprised by how buoyant she felt after her visit to the pitstop. The additional supplies she picked up there probably helped her mood too, if not the camel's. Still, it had had a chance to rest, so all in all, they were still proceeding along at a brisk pace.

Past the pitstop, mountains broke up the monotony of the plains. Ursula pondered some names for her mount as it carried her, as surefooted on this uneven terrain as it had been on the flatlands.

Rocks and ledges along the mountain made for excellent hiding spots. Of course the bandits would exploit them, Ursula thought with a disgusted scowl as they made their presence known, brandishing their weapons.

Spotting an abandoned pack to the side of the mountain path, Ursula investigated further. There were two rolls of bandages inside, just enough to replace the ones she had just used. She grinned.

Ursula's happiness was short-lived. When she turned back to add the new bandages to her pack, she noticed that it had been opened. A quick inventory of its contents discovered that five were missing, courtesy of some light-fingered bandit. Since melodrama was fine by her when no one else was watching, she shook a fist at the sky.
