Chal will attempt to dodge.
18 + 3 = 21, dodges and retaliates.
18 + 6 = 24/5 = 4.8
And the dance continued on as Chal was able to slide himself out of the way despite his bulk. It wasn't an easy thing to do, and it was most certainly an exhausting one, but he would keep moving as long as he could. He could hear the shouts around the two of them from the various spectators getting louder and louder, it seemed at least that the crowd was enjoying it he thought to himself as he lunged forward into another attack.

Rishima will attempt to dodge.
6 + 5 = 11, full damage and Rishima is downed.
It was just as Rishima had figured, it was only a matter of time before one of them slipped up in their dance and finally got hit. Much to his displeasure though he was the one that took that hit. As the shield crashed into him one last time the halfbreed was sent flying, landing hard on his back in the center of the arena, and he didn't get up, "Ow... ow, ow, ow... yeah... I think I'm done, Chal... damn, you got really strong, huh?" He said, feeling a bit on the dizzy side, not wanting to get up quite yet.
Eesh, how embarrassing... what if Jerarda had seen that? She was likely to scold him for allowing himself to get taken down so quickly. It meant that he was going to have to train all that much harder to make up for his slip ups in the battle against Chal, that was for certain. At least he could take heart in the fact that he had made it through the first round at least? Now it seemed it was his turn to get healed up and take a rest in the stands so that he cheer for the others that were still fighting.

Chalcedony watched Rishima as he fell, wincing once more, before he shifted his shield onto his back, walking over to him. He starred down at him a moment before he held a hand out to him, "Come on, let's get you healed up." He said, pulling Rishima off the ground and easily carried the lithe, lightweight half blood from the arena to go and find a healer to patch him up. He didn't want to just leave him all roughed up where he was laying after all, no friend would do that.
"Once you get healed up you can sit with my sons in the arena and cheer for me." He said in a joking manner, something that had Rishima smiling a little bit as they headed out of the arena to let the next battle begin.
