"Hopefully it will be of help to him, then. There is little I can do to offer him aid." Unfortunately, otherwise he would already had. It did not exactly take a genius to see that Ankou was wound up tight, and to have a plausible guess at the cause if it. Given that no one had seen Nergal since the council came to be.
The council certainly seemed to be quite a waste of time, now. It seemed like every member tasked with it had more or less vanished. "Perhaps that was why she returned now." Or maybe it was just coincidence. He did not claim to know.

(( sorry, it felt natural for her to ask.))
"Hmm, I hope so too. There is little I can do, any of us. It's the most frustrating thing." She frowned a little and looked around as if remembering something. "Is Glyph going with you to Azeroth, I haven't seen him around, then again I haven't been out and about much." She hand't seen the god since they had returned from their little adventure.

The question was indeed a bit of a sore point, and his earfins would pull back slightly. It was a valid question to ask, he supposed. "No... He is not. I have not seen him for a long time, either."
At least he had used to feel a lot worse about it than he did now. Cosine would have liked have had to deal with a spectacular breakdown before his brothers had gotten on the case.

The goddess would frown at that. How could Glyph disappear, though how could Nergal too? He had a beautiful partner and beautiful, wonderful children and he just left them. "Oh Xun, I'm sorry." She reached out to take his hand. "You should have come to see me." Not that she could have done much but she didn't like to think of him going through that by himself.

"It is alright." He smiled. "I... assume he has his reasons." Much like he had his own to let go. He could not pretend the timing of it had not hurt, not at all.
Even if it was not Glyph's intentions... He was not sure if he could forgive Forest that much. The moment where he had needed him the most, and he had left, not to be seen again so far.

"Hmm." Cosine would be sure that they were not good enough reasons, such as Nergal. It seemed she was rather protective of her friends and family. "Well, then you're better off without him." She uttered the ancient words passed from friend to heartbroken friend for centuries. "And I am sorry I have been a negelctful friend. There's no excuse for it."

"Maybe I am." Time would be the judge of this much, though now that the loss had been cornered, so to speak, it was easier to fill the void in with other things.
"You have been busy as well. If anyone should apologize, it would be I. I promised Ankou I would help with the children, but... Things started happening so fast." First it had been Croix... Then everything else had fallen in, one after the other.

Cosine shrugged a little, she did not mind, he had had more presssing matters to deal with. She had plenty of help with the children. "They mostly seem to take care of themselves nowadays. Growing fast, it won't be long before they are grown as Kios is I don't think." She wasn't really looking forward to that. They had taken up so much of her time she was not sure she would know what to do when they weren't running around her feet.

"That is what children do." They grew, became awkward teenagers and then adults. The idea of puberty of a divine scale was kind of terrifying in it's own way. Illisia had a bad enough time with it without having to think about followers and ruling over something on top of that !
"But it means they can help you in turn now. And you get some time back for yourself. At first it will be hard to remember what you were doing before them." Oh, did he ever know the feeling. "But eventually you will settle again. And they will either make you proud or make you want to tear out all your hair one by one."

Cosine laughed at that, since when did he get to be so wise? "I'm not the kind to tear my hair out. I'll go over and smack them down whether their 30 or 930." She laughed a little at that, she loved her children, though would not stand for too much nonsense.

And he would laugh, clearly amused by that comment. "That sounds like a good idea. Though hopefully you will have no need to do so too much."
With younglings, though... Well. All bets tended to be off.

Cosine laughed again at that. "You have met my little monsters haven't you?" She asked with a smirk. "They are far to clever for their own good. She swung her foot a little and looked up at her dragon friend. "Well, I am glad I came to see you, I feel better already."

"Children in general tend to be. Then wisdom sometimes sets in after a few tumbles." Sometimes. He smirked, his tail wagging back and forth behind him like an amused cat's might have.
"I am certainly glad for that... Would you like some tea ?" They could relocate and settle closer to the waterfall.

"I would very much love some tea." Cosine grinned, quite content to spend her afternoon chatting and catching up.
