Click... click... click. The Goddess' footsteps were hollow as she entered the alter. She did not let go of the scythe she held as she ran a hand along the alter, expression unreadable. She raised her hand to the air and concentrated. Slowly the shadows peeled themselves from the wall, gathering before her. At last they took shape again, solidifying into the beast once more. She had been on her way back to the Spire when The Goddess' words suddenly drifted into her ears. Not yet complete...? She wanted her to return to the altar?
With a sigh, Mnezara acquiesced and when she found the cave once again, the beast was there, glaring at her. "You've got to be kidding." She groaned.
