Somehow she managed to get her spear dislodged. After a bit of struggling she pulled it out. It left a nice little slice to remind the beast. The beast had other plans though, she had kicked it in the back. But an errant tail whip sent her flying across the room. Ralifa crumpled to the floor of the cave as she felt the life drain out of her. This time she didn't hesitate. Spear in hand, she ran rull force towards the monster. Using a nearby large rock to launch herself into the air, spear raised high over her head as she brought it swiftly down. Stabbing the monster in the eye. Ralifa screamed as she drove the spear deep. A midst the beat's thrashing, Ralifa was slung across the cave. Her spear still stuck in the beat's eye until it finally managed to pull it out. She quickly sat herself up, watching as her spear was tossed away. The monster between her and her weapon. Scrambling to her feet, she tried to figure out the best path to get to her spear. But the only path she saw was right through the monster. She gritted her teeth, took a deep breath, then ran straight for it. Clenching her fist, she smacked it hard across the snout as she pushed through. Stumbling a bit over it's tail as she lept to grab her spear and roll out of the way. Once she had regained her footing, she pushed off and sped towards the monster. The tip of her spear lowered as she clutched it under her arm. It was only at the last minute that she stopped short and thrust the spear up towards it's belly. Crap. Her spear bounced off the monster's hardened skin one more. And she received a nice back hand that sent her skidding a few feet back. Ralifa put up the shaft of her spear in front of her to block anything else it might throw at her. It was her last bit of strength that enabled her to get one last blow. But she was so tired. All she wanted to do was lay down. The beast stomped it's feet. A large rock from the ceiling loosened and fell on top of Ralifa's head. What a way to go. Ok, ok. Third time had to be the charm. At least it seemed the Goddesses wouldn't allow her to just die until this thing was completely defeated. Which was good. She kind of felt bad for the beast. It's whole existence was for her to just kill it. Did it have no ambitions of it's own?
