Again he came at her with that massive shield, though luckily she was able to miss some of the contact from it. She hurt in places she hadn't hurt in a while, and if it wasn't for the fact that she had her daughter and her sisters watching her there was a chance she would have already given up. But she couldn't do that! She went to hit him again with her swords, missing him.

Chalcedony heard the way that the girl's weaponry bounced off his shield, a loud sound from his side, and he moved to push the offensive once more. He wasn't moving as fast as he would like, something he blamed on his tweaked knee, but he would do his best when it came to continuing this battle. No matter how it went in the end so long as he fought hard he'd have two happy sons giving him hugs afterwards.

Again she tried to dodge his shield and again she couldn't. It was just too big! Sighing she tried to put all her energy into attacking once again. She knew she was going to lose, but she wasn't going to go down without giving this battle her all!

The next attack that came his way Chal did his best to dodge, able to do so to a point at least, before trying to counter attack. As he did so his knee seemed to give a little twinge, slowing him down some, making it so that the swing of his shield came up a bit short. Oops he found himself thinking before he drew his shield back into a defensive stance once more, preparing himself for her next attack.

Yes she hit him! Her attack might not have had the force she wanted, but it hit him and that was what mattered! She looked up into the stands for a second to see Ilyra, her strength renewed. She would win this for her daughter! She saw the shield coming towards her, but luckily he missed her some how so she used the opportunity to attack. Before she thought she was going to lose, and was just fighting so it would be a good battle, but now she saw a glimpse of hope. Maybe she would win!

Chalcedony Dodges.
17 + 3 = 20, dodges and retaliates.
17 + 6 = 23/5 = 4.6
Chalcedony saw the attack coming and used the weight of the shield he was holding in his hands to help to pull himself out of the way. As he dodged, narrowly, the then took a swing at the woman in an attempt to counter the swing, hoping to catch her off guard with a hit of his own. This battle was starting to exhaust him a little due to the twinge in his knee and the weight of his shield but he meant to keep going. This battle was a tough one and it was making use of all of his training, but it was worth it.

And his final blow caught her off guard. The shield hit her in the side and she raised her hands high with a smile. "You win. Thank you, for you have taught me that a shield is a formidable weapon. I'll never second guess it again." she commented with a bow towards Chalcedony. She was disappointed that she lost, but she had put up a good fight and she was proud of herself. She was able to hurt him, and with that giant shield she didn't think it would be possible.

Chalcedony gave a smile when the woman before him thanked him, not really having expected that. He gave her a nod and said, "Thank you for a very challenging battle, it pushed me to my limits." It was a good battle, one that he was proud to have been a part of and proud for his sons to see him fight. He gave her one last smile before making his way to the exit, meeting his boys there. He put his shield on his back, scooped the two of them up, and carried them over to where the rest of their group was waiting.
He'd have to see about getting a heal for his knee sooner then later but for right now he was happy just to enjoy the squeals and praise of his boys.
