"--They DO come in threes!" Marati cried out, mere moments after coming across another battle in her travels. This time, the melting one was attacking other greylings she had yet to meet - and there weren't yellow cored at all. How odd.
Unfortunately for her, her cry attracted the beast's attention, and as it lashed out at her she reacted on impulse; she pulled the trigger, and noticed that the bullet went flying right past the monster and straight into the red-cored greyling nearby.
....
....
She had nothing to do with that.
Instead she whistled to herself, aiming at the Monster and taking another, much more accurate shot this time.

Licraesa observed as one poor, unfortunate soul attempted to solo the boss. "That is not very wise of you," she said, offering a low whistle in response to his failed attempts. Another came from the fog, and offered a swing as well. "You tried," Licraesa replied, and with it came a smile almost benevolent. "It is doomed no matter what we do. We are just helping it along." A new contender emerged as well, and she offered a wave. Her heart thrummed blue as she saw that this one had a weapon. Something whizzed past her ear (a bullet, from a gun, an automatic) and fired at the monster. "You have a gun! Where do you get one?" OOC Character name: Licraesa Character appearance: A tall, grey figure with a yellow heart. A pendant rests at her breastbone, pulsating blue. "Weapons?" Arsenic lit up, slightly. Perhaps they actually had a chance at this one. She snorted softly at Astra, nodding her agreement. "It won't last long." She said matter-of-factly.
She waited in no small way excited to find out the origin of the weapons. If she could get one herself, perhaps the creatures wouldn't be so difficult to defeat. As it stood now, she'd lost. That was not what she liked to recall, but it was factual. She lingered away from the creature, grimacing slightly at a strike that managed to take some damage.
Her own retaliation didn't work, so she lingered nearer the group and placed some space between her and the boss. Grr.

Encouraged by her party of warriors, Arsenic aimed a well placed kick at the creature, trying with no luck to punt it away. But she'd done some damage, at least, before it managed to knock her back onto her rump.

"Oh, this? I um...I brought two green orb things I found to the Shrine and it just...spat this out at me." She looked at the gun like it was a curious thing - which to her it was, she recalled the name but nothing much more than that.
To the one who mentioned weapons, she held out the gun; not for her to take, just for her to see, briefly, between attempts to bring down the monster before them.
"...You are very enthusiastic." It was a compliment, really, to the one who had yelled about death to enemies. It was such a cute thing to see!

Marati turned to congratulate her allies, only to find that a few of them had already disappeared. Well, no matter. She'd probably see them again at some point, right? With a shrug she reached down, reaching into the pile of melted grey.

"Thanks," Arsenic said after examining the gun, smirking a little. "It's good to know we have a way of fighting without our hands and feet." She watched the boss go down and grinned, collecting her treasure. "Thanks for the fight," She added as she pocketed her loot and headed off.
If she collected more, maybe she'd have a chance at soloing one of the terrible things.
