As he ran, more steam blew free from the giant machine, as if trying to prevent him to leave. As he turned a corner, a steam blast came for his face. Naturally, he tried to dodge it, only to have his back against hot metal and reacted to falling to the floor.
"Damn it..." He muttered as he got back up again.

All he could remember was waking up at the Spire's base. Looking around, it would seem nothing has changed. Crossing his arms, he descended down the windings paths of the Spire.

Somewhere in the fog she'd gotten lost. "Wyng? Eir?" She called out. "Raumius?" No one answered and she looked around, noticing the area around her. It was hot, and not just like, normally hot. She grimaced and noticed the platforms, looking ahead.
She wanted to find her friends but she was highly curious too. "What's a little detour?" She thought to herself and moved forward but never expected to be RAN OVER BY FIRE.
She shuddered as she was hit twice, rolling off of a platform she jumped to the next, sighing in relief as the rest of it seemed to go pretty smoothly. She turned back and glared.
Maybe it wasn't worth it.

She could hear the clanking of the other room nearby and looked at it curiously. A shiver ran down her spine as it seemed to suddenly drop in temperature. Her ears came close to her body in an attempt to warm her up.
What was making that awful racket too?
She growled, kicking a fan nearby and watching as it clanked and sputtered, a nail coming lose and falling into it. A smile came to her lips as it seems she was able to proceed by sheer dumb luck.

It was big, it was hot it was... somewhere she wanted to get to. Mel'ae stared at it and grabbed a hold. Maybe then she would be able to get back to her friends.
It was not to be and she got smacked with hot steam, falling back to the ground. She looked it again.

She thought stepping into the forge that day would be a good idea. She was wrong.
Omega found that she was not quite as nimble as she needed to be very, very quickly. Heated objects were thrown at her faster than she liked, and on top of that as she moved further in, the room seemed to have little miniature explosions that burned at her and had the girl biting back screams.
Not weak. Not weak!
She barely made it to the other side and was grateful to feel a cool breeze coming down the hall . . .

Oh gosh, it felt nice in here . . . A little too cold though . . . okay frigid. Omega had no idea how to handle this thing except to maybe toss something forward and hope it got jammed, because no way was she going to try and hit it herself.
That seemed to do the trick~! She ran as quick as her burned legs allowed.

As he entered the cooling room, he fought against the cold air, shivering deep in his bones especially after the heat from before. Deciding it would be best to just push as much debris into the fan as possible, Krona started to throw things at the fan...

It was hard to accept how, after managing to go through all of that, one simple hot jet would throw her off course and into nothingness.
Luckily, Omega was completely out before she could even register what was going on.

The moment of truth had arrived. Rubbing his hands together, Krona began his ascent up the towering inferno that lead to the blessings he so desperately craved.
Who said you didn't do insane things for power?
Of course it was all for naught as the hot steam jet went off in his face, forcing him to dissipate.
