Again it evaded her. How was a pile of debris and trash this evasive? She puffed out her cheeks and bounced once or twice to try to get her general demeanor back, frowning a little when it didn't turn around as quickly as she hoped. Fun? Not really but it was something she hadn't done before which was enjoyable, or so she thought it was. Things in her mind were still uncertain and she glared it down again.

A quick jab, a right hook, uppercut, uppercut, uppercut!...
Was not what she did in the least bit and rather kicked where its shin would be if it had a humanoid form rather than the mess of a shape it had taken. It still hurt when it hit her but she was so focused on getting into whatever the Parlor held that she ignored it. It was all curious drive, curious, stubborn drive that led her.

She should have taken some sort of lessons or something, nothing was having an effect as it moved into the floor and around her, latching onto a leg as she tried to kick it off.

With a leap she bit him, sinking her teeth in and it seemed to settled back down to the floor in an agony of sorts, or so she thought. Wiping her hands together she dusted them off, feeling a lot better all of a sudden. Moving past the large pile which moments ago had been some sort of creature she moved on to a hallway leading to the Parlor.
Something was drawing her here for some sort of purpose, and she was going to get to the end of it. Or at least try.

The Parlor was a large space which seemed to entertain guests at one point or another. Tattered and stained walls were its selling point now. Mel'ae walked through the shattered decor of the room, twirling once to view the room. Curtains were fallen, lamps shattered, carpet pulled up - it was a sad sight, like the hotel had died and now only a corpse sat in its wake as a form of broken beauty.
But that was all too poetic of a thought and she wandered over to the door, pulling on it a few times in vain. Shaking her head she sat on a nearby bench, leaning her elbows down onto what looked like a piano. It was a shrill sound that didn't sound right at all and she covered her ears, glancing down at it.
An odd, impossible thought went through her mind and she looked at the door and back down to the keys in front of her. Not that she could remember but she was certain this wasn't something she was going to be able to do, at least not well. "Well, could be." She thought. The door had creaked at the shrill sound though she didn't hear a locking sound. Maybe if she found the right one...

She hit it with both of her hands, her palms flat down and it made a terrible roaring noise before she pulled them back. A nervous smile crossed her lips and she looked back at the door, only to find again it had not budged. "If only there was a clue." She muttered, standing and looking it over for any scribbled in the rotting wood that could give her the clue. After moments of searching she sighed and sat back in the seat.
"Nothing."
Guess she'd have to keep guessing, she only hoped no one else could hear her terrible attempts at playing.

Pressing on a few black keys she felt them move but the sound that came out nothing that a piano should make, let alone anything should make. She clapped her hands once out of surprise and continued to stare down with another deep sigh. She was so close to something and she knew it! Now only the door was in her way, what would she do? Give up?
She shook her head quickly to defy herself and blinked again. "Okay, once more..."

She banged her head against it a few times but it didn't seem to work and merely gave her a headache. She grabbed her head and shook it again. Apparently the old saying of use your head didn't work in all instances.

Maybe if she sat on it? The keys seemed to push her off as soon as she did and she landed on the floor, curiously staring back at it. So it was going to play rough with her now? Fine, she could play rough.

With a one-two punch she had done nothing more but get a few keys stuck and aggravate something in the corner of the room. It scurried away indignantly and she watched it curiously. At least no one else was listening or watching this.

Lazily she tried a few keys together but something had fallen flat on the last note and sank the entire thing. She blinked and looked at her hands. Something inside told her she'd been close, so close.
Another thing inside of her told her to eat the piano, but that one she ignored.

Doop-doop-do-doooooooop. It wasn't close to sounding right but now she was just going to have some fun with it. There was no memory of playing piano in her mind, she was still wondering how she'd even remembered what a piano was. Eventually she'd get it or maybe another creature would come and attack. She was beginning to miss someone to talk to.

She spun around and hit a few keys while facing away from it but that too was to no avail. Her ears were bouncing and she turned back around. "Listen here, you don't want my abuse anymore and I wanna go find out why its important to be here. So work with me, okay?" It was silent as pianos can't really listen to people, but anything to help her get through it worked.

She seemed off again as she played another "tune" of sorts. It was warbled and messed, but was closer in some sort of way. She hummed to herself. Surely out of dumb luck she'd have it by now, but luck had shown her through other places she'd visited here that it didn't always like her.
She pressed down on the keys again.
