Horus stepped forward, smiling wickedly. "Morsmordre, old friend." He glanced back at the mare. "My she is striking, she reminds me so very much of her father." He laughed again.

"You've brought me what I asked for Morsmordre, you are as good as you're word. I expect you're ready for payment so that you can get back to your Master?" Something wicked glinted in his eye.

Viveka felt herself tense when the male spoke. He knew her father? How had her father known him? Or did her father know him?

She felt dizzy and sick. She was even more terrified with the way he was looking at her, and the way his children were. As if they were ...hungry.

She gave a little shiver as Mors pulled her forward.

Khonvoum obeyed his father. "The book says that siblings that share a name, can never fully hate each other. That in some way their bond is strong. The legend says that if the second child shares a name with the first that the bond of hatred--the urge to destroy can be overcome at least in part."

He didn't know why his father wanted him to say this. Or why that it mattered. Maybe he was showing off, showing how much he had planned and knew. Flaunting his book at this illiterate fool.

But then his father had never taught any of them read, because if they could read--they might betray him. They might plot to take the books from him and he could not have that.

But Khonvoum had his own books and they were special in a different way.

Horus called out to Morsmordre, "You've been paid and accepted payment. The deal is concluded. But..perhaps you could do me a favour Morsmordre. Something that only you can do for me?"

"No, no, my dear Morsmordre, you have it all wrong. You're not going to tell him something. That is quite a weak way of doing things. You are the message."

Turning half way to his children, as the sun dipped down. Their more vulgar sides coming out. The companionship of earlier tense between them, the only thing stopping them from killing each other was their father's command.

"Bleed her," his words were simple and deadpan.

Khonvoum was only a second behind Artemis, his teeth tearing into Morsmordre's flesh. He could feel her tail and teeth raking over his skin, but he dind't care. The bloodlust drove him hard and desperate.

He could feel her struggling start to lessen, and as her body slunk beneath the onslaught he felt the heady feel of victory.

His claws tore a dip gouge into her side, and he bit hard breaking the rib. He was about to sink his teeth in when he heard his father.

Viveka trembled from head to toe as she saw them tear into the kalona. She had hated the mare, but she had not wished that one anyone..not even her enemy. She turned her head away a bit sick.

When Horus' words broke over her, she felt herself getting faint. But she took a deep breath, "I'll do whatever you want." She closed her eyes so as not to look at them anymore.

"Not you," Horus smiled so gently. "You won't be around, and he. Well, he can try." With that, he took Artemis and Khonvoum and his new slave on the path to home. Leaving Morsmordre behind.

Someone woudl find her. The message was sent.
