"Sup, Ren," Roch said, dropping an arm over the other boil's shoulders as well. "So it's Rage runnin' this thing?" he asked idly, looking around for the trick or treater in question. "That should be interestin'." He idly reached up with his free hand, rubbing his stomach, then looked around.
"Sup, West!" he called to the rage demon, grinning wickedly. "This competition looks like it'll be fun." Going up against Danny, Ren, West, and a couple of people he didn't recognize--yeah, he was in!
"Hey, Zeph! Been a while!" he called as he saw someone else he recognized.

The ghoul glanced about momentarily as more and more students began to filter in one by one. A few new faces and some she recognized in passing.
"Some would argue that a good balance of mental and physical is the way to go. Though I suppose mental bits would be harder for some as physical would be for others. I guess you just got to roll with the punches in that case." She unfolded her hands from within her sleeves, only to lace her fingers behind her back and rock on the heels of her boots. "Meixiang, pleasure to meet you West."
During a year in Amityville, the boil learned that whenever there were flyers, there would be funny things waiting. Jumped up and caught a slowly falling paper, he scanned through the content in a few seconds.
"Competition? Sounds interesting, Bro?" He hopped toward the building after filling up their stomachs.
Competition would be a nice test for his ability and prove himself to himself. Unhappy memories washed off when he arrived and stepped into a room with dim lighting. Luckily the moonlight occasionally struck through the clouds and showered the room from the windows and holes.
"Excuse me? Anyone knows who's the host?" He asked the rest, when he didn't see anyone alike a host. There were some familiar faces.

Competition. Tch. He was so there, turning on his phone for a brief moment he shot Rosy off a text, if she had seen the flyers, she would know where he would be. Spinar smirked as the message went off, they were both very competitive so why not invite more of a challenge? Heading out to the designated location he paused a short distance from the crowd, scanning it for anyone he knew or cared to meet. Falling short on interesting targets he tucked himself to the side, a smug smirk firmly in place on his cold lips. This had better be worth the trip..

Zel had seen the flyers - and honestly, he was in the mood for a distraction. What better than a competition? Besides, it would give him a chance to actually prove he was able to put theory into practice. After all, you can read books until the bats returned to the belfry - but that didn't mean you could actually do what they directed without attempting some practical application.
Though the only "friendly" face he saw was Siku's... and he wasn't really in the mood to talk to the boil right this second. He wasn't sure how the boil was feeling after their little..."dicussion" over Amarus' phone.
Cringing, he pushed the thought of his erstwhile ghoulfriend aside for now. Best not to focus on the pain and move forward. One foot in front of the other.
After all, he had a competition to win...
He tucked himself not too far away from Siku, hoping he hadn't drawn the other boil's attention.

Rosy had very much seen the signs floating around the school, stopping actually a few times to look over a few of them as she was debating about going. Her phone going off distracted her only or a moment as she glance at it. She couldn't help but laugh as she saw who it was. Of course he would be at this, why couldn't he?
She didn't reply, instead, she just makes her way to where this competition was taking place. Her eyes scanning over all those who were there at the moment. A few of them she recognized in passing, or from events.
It was two familiar boils though, that made her smirk. Zel and Spinar, and of course they were no where near each other. Very carefully, she sneaks her way over before slipping her arms around Spinar's waist.
Still float, she press a kiss to his cheek "Figure you like me just showing up better, then a text." glancing over to Zel, she gives him a small wave.

Zephyros' blue eyes glanced at the other students that had come in. They all looked very capable, and pumped. Each of them believing that they'll be the winner. His brows rose in curiosity at the thought of this game. And a small smile appeared on his face.
Quickly his head turned to the side and he saw Roch waving to him. He glanced at Ren and hesitantly took a step over to meet the to boils. He lifted a clawed hand in a hesitant greeting.
"It is been whiles. Roch and.. Ren?" His eyes flicked between the two of them.

Zel had been looking around the area when Rosy floated in, and following her with his eyes, he lost her for a moment before finally catching a glimpse at her snugling up to Siku and planting a kiss on his cheek.
Oh-ho-ho... So that's how it was now, hm? When Rosy waved his way, he shot her a wave back, before slowly making his way over to them. Keeping Rosy between him and the frost demon he smile slyly.
"So then, Rosy - I see that my theory about you and Siku is right..." Looking between the two of them he chuckles. "So how long have you too been dating? Before or after Prom?"
Well at least someone was happy? Offering a bro-fist to Siku he chuckles. "Good job, she's a keeper to be sure."
He smirks at Rosy, but it was hard to hide the pain and the small bit of jealously in his gaze. Siku was lucky. Rosy was a cute ghoul who would probably back him up until the end.
... Zel had what again?
Oh right... NOTHING. Not... Anymore.
After accepting the Brofist - or getting left hanging, Zel lowers his arm and sighs a bit, wrapping his arms and then his wings around his body.
"I'm happy for you both - really. Congratulations... Won't stop me from kicking both your arses in the competition."
When Liselotte saw the flyers around the school, she decided instantly that she was going to go. It didn't matter that, upon a closer look at the details, the offer seemed more than a little shady; her eyes latched onto the words "FRIENDLY COMPETITION" and she was instantly sold.
Nanabey had tried to warn her, of course, but she'd relented after seeing the excitement in her partner's eyes. "This could be a good opportunity for you to test your skills." She admitted. "Yes, I think you'll be fine. I will be there to help you!"
On Frightday night, Liselotte and Nanabey arrived early to the meeting spot. Liselotte whistled as she took in the crowd, gesturing wildly for Nanabey to come up on her shoulder. "Look at these people! This is perfect! That'll make things really interesting!"

There was no way that Belladonna was late, she was simply fashionably not first. And as the reason she was not first was because she was doing her absolute best to be as fashionable as possible. That was an important and necessary part to this whole Trick or Treater thing, and as the witch was always looking for ways to impress those higher up ToT'ers, she could not fail them today! But she also knew that they weren't not necessarily the kind of people to always understand the vast importance of a well made bustle and finished seams, so that meant striking the delicate balance of being well dressed but practically well dressed. Naturally, this was all very important to the witch. But that also slightly necessitated she not arrive first. But at least she was not too terribly late... "Heeeeeeeeelllllllllll~" Was her sing song entrance as Belladonna swept into the room and immediately swept the Reaper into a hug that involved lots of squishing of various parts, namely the face and more specifically, their cheeks. Just like the witch's outfit, it was a very good greeting.

Hel, was assured when more students filed in, that this was not a trick. Er…well…it could still be a trick…but at least now she wasn’t the only one. She nodded to those she knew, and then spent the rest of the time eyeing up little snot nosed first years. D’aw, so cute. First years. That was a long a** time ago…and they’d be easy to take out…
The ghoul was snapped out of her thoughts by a sing song voice, and then was swept up into a very warm and squishy hug. “Bella!” The ghoul cried back, throwing her arms around the witch and squishing the ghoul to her tightly, and even leaned back a bit to pull the witch up and off of her feet briefly.
Hel lowered her, and grinned. “Here for the competition too, eh?” She lightly head butted the ghoul. “Oi. Just because we are friends, does not mean I will go easy on you, darkling.”

Muka would always go where a flier told him to go. It was a bit of a weakness, his curiosity. The hefty strix had flown in, landing much too lightly for a boil his size, on a smashed out window sill. With a giggle he stepped down into the room and took a moment to check for scuffs on his pointed dress shoes.
He waggled his fingers at those he recognized and grinned his usual creeper smile. He eventually sidled up next to Danny and her friends with a laugh, uncaring if he burst into any conversation. "Any food today? Hee.."

Piper was mostly there because it looked like there was a party. Then she actually read the flyer.
Score. Future seeds maybe aww yeah. It was a job opportunity at any rate, so maybe her parents would get off her back and start sending a real allowance if they saw her do things.
So she scrawled her name right up with the rest and started to stretch in preparation.

Heh, so his two bright and not-so-bright pupils made it... He'll make them clean the Bird Park till it shines if they fail him.
"HEY KIDS," A loud voice boomed from various speakers hidden around the building, causing an echo, "Now that you're here, it's too late to Jacking chicken out of this competition. In fact, to be sure that we have no deserters, I made a few... Arrangements."
There was the sound of something being smashed, followed by the sound of an engine starting up, and then the sound of metal grinding against each other - like gears turning after a decade of not being used. Around the building, heavy metal shutters dropped down, covering every door, window, and air vent in the building, trapping the students in. Then, part of the ceiling opened up, and a screen was lowered into the room.

"I've compiled a list of all the students gathered here," A list of everyone in the room, along with a candid photograph that was taken when they first arrived, was projected onto the screen. Then, from the same hole in the ceiling the screen came from, dark red backpacks began to fall, "Now take one of those backpacks. There should be a piece of paper and a pen inside each one. Write down who you think is going to... Win this competition. It's a little bet - if you pick the right person, you will not leave this place empty handed even if you personally lose... Of course, you can always bet on yourself, if you're so Jacking confident. Heh."
A long pause followed before he started speaking again, like he just remembered something important, "Oh. If someone grabs your backpack away from you, you are Jacking disqualified, no exceptions. Why don't you all start looking around? The less people there are, the higher your chances of winning."
OOC INSTRUCTIONS
What is happening?! To bet on someone, PM ToT Seething with Rage with your character(s) and their bet; remember that each character can only bet on one person! So choose wisely.
If you are still unclear on what is going on, basically, your student will have to bet on who they think is going to win the competition; it can be another student or themselves. If they bet on another student, and that student wins, they get a prize for betting on the right person even if they personally lost. However, if they bet on themselves and actually win, they get a prize for betting on the right person AND a prize for winning.
Inside each backpack: 1] Pen & Paper (The paper disintegrates after you place your bet) 2] Fear Candy (Heals for 5HP when consumed)
Note the Fear candy - it doesn't heal a lot of HP... But if you manage to get more, wouldn't it start to count? Once per round starting from the NEXT round, you can try to snatch someone's backpack (for the Fear Candy inside), but also risk losing your own. Note that it is best to do it after you had already responded to the prompt so you don't get "stuck" waiting on someone else.
To snatch someone's backpack: 1] QUOTE the person you are trying to snatch from. 2] Roll 1D10. 3] WAIT for the person to respond by rolling 1D10. 4] If your value is higher, you were successful. If not, your own backpack gets taken/dropped in the process and you are OUT! NOTE: If the person does not respond to you by the next round, it means that nothing happened; they don't lose their backpack, and you don't lost yours.
What can be done with the backpack? Anything reasonable, actually! I don't want to give you too many ideas since I don't want to influence you, but I've compiled some ideas here, in case you need something to get you going...
You can pass your backpack/supplies to someone else; maybe you want to help the person you bet on to win? Or you're just that nice (SR would say you're just that stupid). But wouldn't it be more effective to survive for a longer period of time and help them/yourself win by getting rid of the competition...? Maybe you should lie to the competition and say that you placed your bet on them to gain their trust/ally with them? WHATEVER YOU WANT TO DO, DO IT. If you're unsure about something, IM me!
