At this point, Yaholo was happy to take any warmth that was available, and practically pressed himself up against the arms he had been given to hold. When it was his turn to go up the stairs, he allowed Rastian and Ogbonna to lead him, rather than risk falling on some unseen ice under his feet. He sighed, gazed forward, and arched an eyebrow towards the house they had arrived at.
"So... This is it?" He asked, shivering.

Natsu, after getting his ear "chewed off" by Viveka for running on the icy staircase, turned to Yaholo and nodded furiously.
"Yes! This is the place!" He replied, knocking loudly upon the door. "JOLN'KU, it's your favorite group, here to spend the night!"
Instantly, the door opened, and a bright eyed old woman lunged out from within the home, wrapping her arms tightly around Natsu's neck.
"OH, thank Bergchi!" She cried, cackling. "I thought you'd never make it, come on in, a storm's about to rage it's way through! I hope you're prepared!"

"Of course we're prepared, Joln'ku." Rastian scoffed, hustling Yaholo inside. "But my dear friend here could use a warm fire, pronto."
He rushed Yaholo over to a couch set closest to the fire and began covering him in spare blankets. Then, he turned back to the group with a frown on his face. "Close the door, it's too drafty!" He grumbled. "We don't want the fire to go out on us, do we?"

Ogbonna raced after Rastian and hopped onto the couch beside Yaholo, snuggling into his now thoroughly blanketed body. He smiled, tucked the blankets further around him, and waved Joln'ku over.
"Look, isn't he the coolest person ever?" He exclaimed. "He came all the way here from Jauhar, Joln'ku! Do you know where that is?"

Viveka made a sheepish face towards Joln'ku as Ogbonna spoke. Oh, he was so young, Joln'ku was an elder! She couldn't know where Jauhar is, she probably never left Zena in her lifetime! He closed the door behind him, sat beside Ogbonna, and shook his head.
"Bonna, Joln'ku is an elder..." He began. "She's probably never heard of-"
"Jauhar, eh? The rain forests?" Joln'ku interrupted, grinning wildly. "Well, well, aren't you quite the traveler! Tell me, then, what do you call yourself, young man?"

Yaholo wiggled under the blankets and heaved a heavy sigh of relief. Thank you, Aisha, warmth at last! He allowed himself to "simmer" for a moment, closing his eyes, before turning his attention towards Joln'ku with a smile.
"Yaholo, ma'm." He replied. "But, the truth is, I'm actually from Tale, Yera to be exact. I do, however, travel to Andile every so often to visit with my mother and younger sister. It's a long journey to make each day, but I enjoy it."

"Aaaaah!" Joln'ku exclaimed, clapping her hands. "Then you must know Kuthun, he was a good friend of mine when I was younger!"
"You knew elders from other tribes, Joln'ku?" Natsu questioned, his eyes wide. "I didn't think you had traveled quite so far! That's incredible!"

Rastian sat down on a chair across from Yaholo and smirked.
"Joln'ku's told me all her best stories." He said, nudging the old woman. "Tell Yaholo the story about the Alkidike twins and the Leaf boy, he's sure to get a kick out of that one."
Joln'ku paused, rolling her eyes. "That one's old and tired, dear." She said, waving her hand. "Why don't we just sit here and eat for a bit?"

Ogbonna's eyes widened at Rastian's words. Yaholo was half-Alkidike and half-leaf! He had to hear that story, he had to, he had to! He leaned forward, grabbed onto Joln'ku's hands, and grinned.
"Tell the story, Joln'ku! Please?" He asked, making big puppy eyes. "Yaholo has to hear it 'cause he's half of both of those!"

"Oh, Ogbonna..." Joln'ku sighed. "Alright... Does anyone else want a different story before I begin?"
She turned to Viveka, a glimmer in her eye. "How about it, Veka?" She asked.
"No, no. I'm good." Viveka replied, snuggling close to Natsu. "I don't think I've heard this one before, either. Perhaps you've only told Rastian this one over and over again."

Joln'ku chuckled and nodded. "Perhaps, perhaps." She replied, sighing. "Alright, then, let's begin."
But before Joln'ku could start the story, Yaholo started to laugh. "If the main characters are Luljeta and Cusick, then I already know where this is going." He said, turning to Joln'ku. "My mother is the only Alkidike to have a twin, that I know of, and she had me with a man named Cusick, from the leaf tribe. I think I would know my own birth story."
"...Yes." Joln'ku replied, a smirk on her face. "But you don't know how it all began, do you?"
"Uh..." Yaholo muttered. "My mother met my father at a group event with a bunch of elders and fell in love with my father? They prayed to Aisha and... Here I am?"
Joln'ku's eyes widened. "Well, darn!" She giggled. "I guess you do know, so much for my story, huh?"

While Yaholo and Joln'ku talked, Natsu had lead Viveka into the kitchen nearby and procured some snacks for them to eat while they stayed. However, upon returning to the group, it was clear that he had spilled something purple all over his clothes.
"Uh..." He sighed, rubbing the back of his head. "Do you have an extra cloak I can borrow, Joln'ku?"
Joln'ku cackled and jumped up from her seat. "I'll be right back, don't drop anything else, Natsu." She said, wandering off into another part of the house.

As soon as Joln'ku was out of earshot, Rastian couldn't help but start cackling himself. Whatever was all over his brother's cloak was either gooey medicine or some sort of preserves. Had he squeezed some fruit too hard or something? Ridiculous!
"That's one way to dye your clothes, brother!" He giggled. "You just need to master the trick of not getting it all over yourself in the process."

Ogbonna gave Natsu a once over and chuckled. Oh, his uncle was so silly! Food was for eating, not for wearing! He rolled his eyes and turned his attention towards Viveka as he wandered back into the room with a tray of food.
"Did you two have a food fight?" He asked. "Can I join?"

Viveka made a slightly agonized face as Ogbonna spoke and shook his head wildly. NO, there was no food fight, and there never would be. He set the tray down upon the table and pointed to a jar of jam that was in the center of the tray.
"The lid on that jar wasn't on tight enough," He explained. "Natsu was playing with the jar and the jelly spilled out all over him."
He sighed, wrapped his arm around his lover, and gazed towards Yaholo. He seemed confused for a moment, but soon enough, he was chuckling.
"Aw, poor guy." He said. "He's fast asleep."
