Biroki is using Delayed Elemental Burst on Briella (Lightning)
Biroki is retreating out of melee range

DEB resolves in 2 turns
Biroki backed away from the action, trying to focus on the leylines like he had been taught. Zuri seemed to be taking a lot of hits, but hopefully he could fix her up if he needed to.
Aminah was another story, but he was finding that he couldn't focus on her right now. Every time he tried to worry about his friend and fellow mage, he found himself distracted by the adrenaline rush of battle. Later, then. Later he would help her. For now, he was surprisingly competitive.
"Zuri! How are you doing?" he called out as he let her be his shield.

Aminah

Aminah attacks Zuri.

Zuri receives 0 dmg.
Aminah took the time everyone else was busy to launch another attack at Zuri. She conjured up a stroke of lightning and tried to release it, but it was pathetic at best, and couldn't make it all the way to her mark.
How could she be getting worse? She almost wanted to pull her hair out, but now was not the time. It was all practice after all and it was meant for things like this. She breathed deep and concentrated on her next attack. She had to make the rest of them count if Briella and her were to get out of this the victors.

Briella uses charge on Biroki

Hit: 19 + 7 = 26, damage
Damage: 11 + 7 = 18/4 = 4
Briella watched as Biroki moved out of the way of attacks and tried to go after him. She watched as Aminah's attack towards Zuri failed and it distracted her from getting towards Biroki. Both girls needed to step up their game! There was no way they could lose to these love birds.

Zuri attacks Aminah
Needs a +14 to hit
Hit: 14 + 7 = 21, damage
Damage: 4 + 7 = 11/2 = 5.5 dmg
As the lightning came towards Zuri she realized that she couldn't not attack Aminah because her last attack had been strong. That made no sense and kind of defeated the purpose of practicing. In a real battle your opponent wouldn't just stop because they hurt you, they would continue. With new found confidence Zuri hurried towards Aminah with her spear.

Briella takes no damage (And what glorious damage it would have been!)
Biroki had decided to focus on Briella because, well, she was attacking him and he was not okay with that. She was trying to, anyway. Fortunately for him, she had stumbled in her charge. Yeah no.
He sent a sizzling arc of lightning towards Briella, but it seemed more attracted to where Aminah's lightning bolt had fizzled out. It did look awesome, though, and he was proud of it. It seemed, though, that he had to do a bit more research on how magic interacted.
Actually, it was kind of funny.
"I guess those two lightning bolts just had to be together!" he said, his voice a little high pitched from the adrenaline.
DEB resolves in 1 turns

Zuri receives 0 dmg.
Aminah charged herself for the next attack, intending to launch another bolt of lightning at Zuri. She had just about enough to juice to launch when Zuri came at her again with her spear. She attempted to jump to the side to dodge Zuri's attack, but it was no use. The spear was much too long and Aminah felt the full force of it against her, causing her to lose concentration and sending an electric spark back up into her hands from the staff. It singed her fingertips and she winced from the backlash. "Eventually I'll be able to hit something." She said to the others with a laugh.

Oh so he wanted to come towards her? She smiled as his lightning spell messed, again. Looks like lightning wasn't all that good when it comes to actually hitting. It was a strong attack however, she was lucky that it didn't hit her.
She laughed at Aminah. It seemed to happen again and again that they didn't attack each other. It wasn't that their attacks weren't strong, you could see that they all had power, it was the fact that they couldn't hit! Briella tried to focused and headed towards Biroki, she needed to get him out of the game. That last attack would've hurt and she didn't want him coming at her again.

This was ending up to be longer then she expected, but then again this was her first team battle so she didn't really have anything to compare it to. She laughed at Aminah's joke. "I hope you don't!" she replied when Aminah said she would hit something sooner or later. The more that Aminah missed the longer she would last in this while thing, since Aminah seemed to be attacking her mostly.
She moved towards Aminah with a determined look in her face. Her attacks would land, and that was what really mattered to her.

Biroki ducked under the REALLY SHARP blades and ran for cover. Yeah. Briella was the real threat here.
"Zuri!!!" he yelped, "A little help here?!?" He'd have to think fast and tricky because she was fast and huge and probably also tricky.
(I can just imagine him fleeing from Briella)

((Wow my head is obviously not working right now. Don't know why I rolled so many dice))

Aminah attempts to dodge.
Rolled: 16 (+4) = 20, no dmg
Aminah retaliates

(16 +6) /5 = 4.4 dmg
Zuri receives 4.4 dmg.
Aminah was prepared to try launching another attack and ready to go when Zuri rushed at her with her spear again. The attack looked like it would do quite a bit of damage and Aminah wasn't about to let that go without trying to avoid pain if she could. She backed away from Zuri, jumping out of the way of the spear and thankfully fully avoiding the attack.
She had lost her balance when dodging and couldn't muster up a full attack like she had hoped, but did what she could with some quick thinking and launched a small earthquake Zuri's way.

BRIELLA Charging Biroki "What happened?" she asked Biroki with a smile as she ran towards him. However she wasn't paying enough attention and tripped, not getting close enough to him to even do any damage. She should have known better, really she was getting too excited.

Damn, that attack would have been good if Aminah hadn't dodged it, she had a feeling! She tried to dodge Aminah's attack, however she couldn't avoid the earthquake and all she could do was reach out and try to get another attack in.
At hearing Brioki she frowned slighly for a second then winked at Aminah. "Wish I could honey, but you magic users are too good." she called out towards him. She really wanted to help, but she knew if she did Aminah would wipe her out.

Her last attack was weak, but it had hit at least, that was something she could be happy about. But she didn't have even a moment to spare and celebrate her hit: Zuri was coming at Aminah again with her spear!
Aminah felt the spear hit her skin, grazing her hip as she moved away from being a sitting target... and panicked. She flailed her arms and launched a weak water blast her way, hoping she could knock Zuri away from Aminah and get some space. "I would have to disagree!" She piped up. "I'm not doing so hot on this end." She laughed.
