Aaaah, that made sense: the mysterious first crush Nevada had mentioned a while back, now revealed. But it was good they could still stay friends at least, just as she had with Tuck it seemed . . . "Grumpy ones usually are, one way or another," Stormy agreed with a knowing smile, not necessarily referring to Gale (he was more dry than grumpy most of the time) but still empathizing. "I don't blame you." There was a weird charm in trying to dig in and find out what that speck of goodness was, what the little bit that made them smile meant in opposition to the rest.
"Me? Uh . . . Just today," she answered a little sheepishly. "I accidentally fell asleep since I've been really tired lately . . . But I did visit every day, honest!" As if Nevada might take offense she wasn't there every night to sing her to sleep or read a bedtime story, which oddly enough Stormy wouldn't have begrudged her to be. There was no level she wouldn't rise or sink to for her friends.
She did, however, look a little on the drained side; there was a hollowness to her face that suggested more than one night's less than restful sleep.
As for Gale, well, she could only give a small shrug and a helpless smile. "Caelius needed him," she said dutifully. "We're hunters first, people second." But there was something in her tone that said she definitely agreed: awful, awful timing. But she could not, would not be bitter, because it was no-one's fault: just the coincidence of timing gone wrong. At least, this was what she told herself to stop from thinking as such.
Stormy was curious to hear Nevada had invented a new role for Roland, and she leaned forward attentively. "I brought him," she said as a matter of factly. "Because the only way you two will stop being awkward around each other is to make you talk. So I figured starting out with him talking and you hopefully catching some of it was relatively safe." She would not, however mention Roland's plan to go to the Haunted House; she'd snitched to Candace already, there was no point in adding to that guy's suffering of her own volition.

"If you get to know him, You'd see the charm." She smiled at Stormy, "Gale is a little grumpy too..." She casually mentioned, seeing the way Stormy's eyes lit just a little. She knew you were thinking about him Stormy, She see's it. Cutie.
"Okay." Nevada reached out, missing a bit then tried again. Her breathing only hitched as she sank her hand in Stormy's hair and petted it. "You need more rest too. With Gale gone and helping me, Oh Stormy I don't want you to push yourself." Nevada sighed, closing her eye. "I'm more worried that you are tired, You'll get hurt on missions like that."
At the mention of the death lead, Nevada opened and rolled her good eye. The sheer mention of Caelius pretty much erased any self pity for herself and it all went to poor Gale. "Poor Gale. I am glad my leader is Aria." for now, depending on how the mist lead took Nevada's condition in.
She started to shift in the bed, bringing her legs up to sit crosslegged.
Then she looked at Stormy.
"I see. Playing Matchmaker are you?" She smiled at Stormy, such a pure heart. "Unfortunately...I didn't hear much of him in my dream. It could be because I was so close to waking up...He didn't come in till the very end after all. And It was only to give a piece of my heart back to me." She reached her hand up to rub her temple. "I want us to return to friends...That is all." She was looking at you Stormy, looking. Nothing more Stormy.
"Did they tell you when I can leave here?"

"I can nap it off," Stormy dismissed, rubbing at her eyes as if that would erase the tiredness from them. "One nice long nap with my cuddle buddy and I'll be set!" She wanted to add that she had worked off of less than usual sleep before, but that mission . . . had gone bad. Okay bad example, but that one hadn't been her fault, she stubbornly thought. But poor Gale indeed . . . She wondered how long Caelius had lasted, being like that; and how much longer that would hold.
Being called matchmaker had her flushing a little with pride, and she toyed with a curl of hair self-consciously. "I couldn't help it . . . I felt so happy earlier, I thought 'why not share that with others?' I did it with Jake and Sherry too. Maybe that's a little too much meddling . . ." But she didn't sound too regretful about it; a shipper's heart was what it was. Stormy did, however, catch the look Nevada was giving her.
It was hard to mask the crestfallen look that first came up. But, she realized, this was probably for the better. And if her bestie wanted it, then so would she. "Taking a break is a good idea," she said with a bob of her head. "Clean the mess off and start fresh and all. But, uh . . . I think they said they wanted to keep you maybe another day just in case. Although truth be told, I think they want you out," Stormy said in a hushed tone, smiling a little. "Said something about the girl who keeps napping everywhere was probably just using this as an excuse to sleep."

"Stormy." Nevada gave her pointed look, "Okay. We will nap together then, come on." She patted the hospital bed expectantly. You get some rest right now missy.
"Oh helping Sherry and Jake too?" She breathed in, looking at Stormy and wondering how it went. Well Stormy, Don't keep her in suspense! She liked both of the hunters well enough and if they had come together then..."Please tell me they had a good happy ending...?"
Daw Stormy was so cute, most of the pain was starting to lace with tiredness and the hysteria she felt was slowly moving towards 'hey I can deal with this'. Hopefully she could.
At the comment about her staying only to sleep, earned a narrowed Eye.
"I don't mind leaving if they want me too, I have better sleeping spots than a hospital room." Rolling it one more time, she sighed. "Gonna have to answer to a lot of other hunters..."
her mind fizzed, "You...You didn't go to the haunted house after I got attacked right?"

Oh! Stormy hadn't expected the offer and hesitated, wondering if the cot would hold them both. Well, only one way to find out...Scooching out her stool, she crawled onto the offered space and hoped she didn't get in the way of the IV and sensors. Maybe she could stay for just a little bit instead?
"Um, I haven't gotten an update yet," she told Nevada when prompted about Jake and Sherry. "Even though I so told Jake to text me after he confronted her." Sigh. "But no news is good news, right? Maybe he's busy being a boyfriend and forgot~"
At the mention of the Haunted House, Stormy tilted her head and blinked. "No, I didn't want to leave just in case you or Gale came back while I wasn't looking. I was busy trying some of the training stuff Miss Candace set up for us. Oh!" Making the one second motion, she fished her phone out and dug through her messages, passing it over to Nevada for her to read. "She created some challenges and warned us not to go to the Haunted House, so...I busied myself with those!" Here Stormy turned a little proud. "I snuck into her room while she and Molly were away and stole these really cute rainbow shoes from her closet. Apparently they're one of Miss Candace's favorites! And then a week later I gave them back; she has no idea I did it!"
Maybe. Hopefully. She actually wasn't sure, but since Sempai hadn't come after her...
"We should sneak and eavesdrop on someone together sometime~" she suggested with a mischievous smile. "That's the other challenge I really want to try."
