Millie shrugged. “I guess so. But…what I’m about to do right now is going to be selfish and rather piggy, so if you want to look away, you’re more than welcome to.” She took hold of another pancake and picked the whole foot up, dipping the big toe in the cup of syrup, nibbling at it for a moment, before making a terrible noise and stuffing the whole foot into her mouth.
A second later she was choking on the foot, tears starting to stream down her face as she struggled with chewing, laughing and trying to breathe.
Sometimes life was full of difficult questions, difficult answers and difficult times. Other times though…it was full of things that you didn’t want to say, should have said or might have said. Sometimes putting your foot in your mouth was a bad thing…and other times…well. It was just downright delicious.
Speaking through the considerable amount of bread that was still being chewed, The preteen managed to convay one last thing. “Fanku for da pankaks Mikaa! Der deswishus!” Clearly as this happened, crumbs flew all over the table, causing the girl to erupt into giggles and coughs once more.
Oh well. Breakfast with one of your best friends was always bound to do that to you.

Micah didn't move from the stove as Millie aspirated on her breakfast. She was a big girl and was more than capable of taking care of herself, so Micah placidly made the rest of her breakfast before sitting down happily next to Millie.
"You're very welcome, Miss Millie. It was my pleasure."
It was always so nice with Millie. Even if she was Lenka, at times like these she wasn't. She was just Millie and Micah's best friend and someone who could always smooth out her nerves. Micah ruffled Millie's hair affectionately before smearing butter all over her own pancakes in lieu of syrup. She hated being sticky and she wasn't clean enough to keep the maple tar off her hands and fingers and hair and everything.
"Anytime," she promised, stuffing her own mouth.
