Tsu has a few theories about this video.

First off I believe that the video wasn't staged. I think that instead of making a fancy video to match the song they tried to advance in the Gorillaz storyline. Now don't get me wrong, in the FGI video the helicopters were staged but since when have Gorillaz been any good with consistency. I've been thinking about this since saturday and I think you'll find that these are good reasons to back up my opinion.

First off the picture you'll find at the gallery show in London of Russel helping Noodle put her boxes from her bedroom into the windmill.
Then there's the fact that if you watch El Manana closely you'll see those boxes laying in the windmill.
Also, the day(or days) before the El Manana video released if you clicked on kong (On the site) you'd get a video of the Windmill leaving Kong. Now since the video's release this doesn't happen but there is a replay button where you see the same thing. Notice, replay. My guess is that they are trying to show that Noodle was on this windmill, it seems reasonable and why would they want to mean anything else by this?
Then of course there is her room. It may be reacting to how Noodle's feeling (or her death if she has died).

I don't think Noodle is dead myself. After all she is "one of 23 kids trained as part of an elite crack team for the Japanese government at a secret military compound" and she was the star pupil on top of that. Those kids were taught everything so Noodle would (or should) at the very least know how to escape from predicaments like that; she's special, she has a gift. Jamie did say we'd learn more about her past in phase 2 after all, if she dies how will we find anything out?
Now here's another theory of mine. The 23 kids had three commands right? One to remember who they were, on to forget and another to turn them into killing machines. The kids had their memories erased though, except Noodle. I believe someone is trying to destroy Noodle because should she ever be turned into a killing machine lets just say no-one is safe.

Ah! I'm done now. Remember, this is my opinion, it's not facts, don't quote me on it. xp

I was talkin' t'Mr. Atticus Finch, an she was like...I can't quote her 'zacktly, but...basically, she said...Al the remaining Gorillaz, even Muds, would be horribly sad. Even tho' they were sad, they would realise they would need a guitarist, re-hire Paula, an on th'world tour, right at th'beginning of th'show (or during El Manana?) Noodle would SWOOP DOWN OUT OF NOWHERE! Then, she an Paula would have an axe-battle, an Noodle would emerge victorious, an Noodle would be part of Gorillaz once more.

Dude, and Noodle would so win. She'd be like WA-POW! and everyone would go'ooohhh' and 'yayaya!'. Cept us, because we knew all along she's alive. Mwahahaha....! twisted

I think all of this is completely plausible. Somebody said that the Gorillaz weren't really known for their consistency, well now that they've gotten really big, they have a reason for all the storylines and conspiracies[sp?]. I do agree with the possibility of Noodles triumphant return/battle during the tour. Anyone know where I can find tourdates? I'd give my left nut to get tickets.

Quick update: The video is on Yahoo Music now, I watched it and I am now exasperated by the appearent "death" of Noodle. That is, I was until I read this page.
