Rastian had gotten himself comfortable upon the sled and sat cross legged as Gyuri tugged them along. He watched as each creature was thrown into the baskets behind them and shuffled curiously over to 'examine' them. These were some very nice furs! Ooo, the thought of being able to work with these, it was exciting! But he knew that he couldn't trade just anything for these beauties! Didn't he have anything of value in his satchel, besides crystals and wood?
"These will make excellent furs!" He said, already digging through his satchel. "What do you think would be a fair trade for three of them? I have some crystals and wood, maybe some thread... Hmm..."

While Rastian sat comfortably, Viveka sat rigidly as per usual. He wasn't certain where he was being taken! How could Rastian be so comfortable?! He stared daggers at his friend as he started talking about trading again, but kept quiet. What if they were next?! ...Okay, maybe that was ridiculous. Human skins, what a crazy idea. No one would do such a thing! ...Right?
"Uhm..." He mumbled. "Gyuri... Where are we going? Is it safe?"
Yes, good, accuse the big guy of taking you somewhere unsafe. That ought to keep you in good favor!

As Rastian started to talk about the furs, as well as how excellent they were, he couldn't help but to give a bit of a smile. He was proud of the fact that what he'd found was of such good quality that a merchant might be interested. To think that there were even better, not to mention bigger, ones at home he thought to himself. He would have to bring Rastian to see them when he arrived for certain, wanting him to get a look at all of the furs so that he could get the ones that he wanted the most when it came to trading for them. Of course as he as he started to ask about a fair price, talking about what he had to trade, Gyrui had no idea how to respond. What was a fair price? His father usually did all of the haggling, it wasn't something that he was good at himself since he didn't really talk that often. His father was more then certain that if Gyuri was left to set the prices he would get walked all over because he was too quiet and too nice.
As he struggled to come up with an answer he heard the question posed to him by Viveka, one that made him wonder if he seemed that dangerous and suspicious. He turned to look over his shoulder, a slightly hurt look on his face, before looking ahead once more, "Home. More furs are there." He said at last, feeling that if he let them know where they were going and why then both of them would be happy, right?
It didn't take long before their home came into view, a modest little place with a couple of out buildings nearby. One of them was where the skins dried, the other was where the various skins which were ready for the market were stored. He pulled the sled over to the first of the buildings, unstrapping himself from it, then turned to look at the pair that he'd brought back with them. Now what? He seemed to be debating on just that when his father came out of the door, "Gyuri! What did I tell you about picking up random things while you were out?" The man said in a teasing manner, shaking his head at his son before he turned to look at the two strangers, giving them both a once over, trying to figure out what they were doing out in the snow fields where the traps had been set out. Surely not theives, they looked to respectable for that, so what they were up to he had no idea.
Gyuri motioned to Rastian, "Merchant." He murmured quietly, the single word causing his father's face to alight.
"A merchant, are you? Wonderful! I was have a great amount of furs that I was going to be taking to the market, if you want first crack at them though it can be arranged." He merely figured this one to be a savvy sort of merchant who had sought him out before market day, not something that bothered him in the least since he would get better prices that way.
Gyrui watched for a moment before he scooped up the baskets that held the fresh catches in them, carrying them over to where his mother was waiting at the door, handing them over to the Shifter woman who was in charge of dealing with the initial preparations since she made good use of the meat. She patted him on the arm, giving him a smile, "You keep your new friends company and make sure your father doesn't swindle them, you know how he can be." She said with a soft giggle, then headed into the house. Giving a smile Gyuri walked over to rejoin the group, to keep an eye on things at his mother's request.

Oooh! Gyuri was taking them back to his house where there were even more furs! Honestly, Rastian was content with going nowhere and being tugged along by a sled, but seeing more furs was something he definitely wanted to do! He smiled broadly up at Gyuri, missing his hurt expression over Viveka's comment, and had to contain his excitement when they stopped at the building. He couldn't wait to trade! This was his favorite thing to do in his free time!
"Hello! My name is Rastian!" He exclaimed, extending his hand out to Gyuri's father to shake. "I deliver and trade from all over Tendaji, it's my job aside from training to be a Healer. I've been looking for some quality furs for quite some time, but could never find just what I'm looking for. I hope my luck changes today!"

Viveka shrunk back as Gyuri gave him a hurt look. Aw, he made him sad! All Gyuri wanted to do was take them back to his village so Rastian could look at some furs, he wasn't trying to hurt them at all! What a mean thing to assume! He shook his head, ashamed of how his own fear could make him so doubtful of perfectly nice people. He would have to make up for it somehow!
While Rastian chatted with Gyuri's father, Viveka turned his attention to Gyuri. He sighed and stared sheepishly up at him, before bowing his head. "I'm sorry if I was rude," He explained. "I... I've just... Never seen someone like you before..." He paused, squeaking. "Not that you're bad or upsetting or unsettling or... I'm just not a very social person outside of Rastian and my boyfriend, Natsu!" His cheeks flushed bright red and he gazed to the side. "I understand if you find me silly or deranged, I'm not always in the right frame of mind..."

The Ice Tribesman smiled, "Well, I can assure you that I have the best furs around. It was the blessing of the Goddess that brought you here to us." He said happily leading Rastian to the out building where the skins were located, pushing the doors open for him so that he could step inside and look around, "Everything here is tanned and ready to go, some as you see have been made into plain leather and some retain the warm furs. So no matter what you are looking for I likely have it and in various different sizes." He said, ever the salesman.
There was plenty for Rastian to look at, furs from the various beasts both from Zena and those that traveled over from Sauti as well. The ones from Sauti were a little more rare and as such something that he got more for trading them to those in Zena. The man was more then happy to hang back, to allow Rastian to look around and see what he could see, sure that there would be something in the building that would appeal to the merchant's sharp eye.
Giving a smile Gyuri watched as his father went about getting Rastian to check out the furs, doing his best pitch for the merchant. It was good that he'd told him that it was what Rastian was, it made him more friendly toward the strangers for sure. Turning back to Viveka as he spoke, talking about how he was sorry, didn't want to be rude, and that he'd never seen anyone like Gyuri before. He gave a smile then said, "Mother is a Shifter." He explained, not sure if this guy had ever seen a Shifter before or not, either way it would explain why he looked so different from the other people in Zena, it was because he looked a lot like his mother save for his hair and one of his eyes. As Viveka continued to speak he gave another smile, lifting his hand to pat him on the head in a soothing manner, not wanting for him to be so upset when Gyuri was already pacified just knowing that Viveka didn't think he was trying to kidnap them and drag them off to his lair in the snow fields... not that he was the sort to kidnap anyone and not that he had a lair, but still. So long as Viveka wasn't scared of him then he was happy.

"A blessing of the Goddess, you say?" Rastian remarked as he was lead to where the skins were located. He had to taper back a chuckle at the thought of him being a blessing. If anything, Gyuri and his family were the blessings, not him. Olive toned eyes seemed to glisten as Gyuri's father opened the door to the building and made a beeline for a particular fur at the front. It was Mammu, no doubt, in a lovely lavender shade, which brought a smile to his face. He loved cooler colors like blue or purple, they reminded him of Zena. He walked forward and motioned to it, smiling.
"I'm very interested in this particular piece, what would you be willing to trade for it?" He asked. "I know that I've got quite a few valuable crystals from Jauhar, some useful sting and twine for tailoring, and an assortment of dyes for various things. Anything else I would need to dig in my satchels for, if I have it."

If Viveka had been a Raptrix pup, his head would be titled with his ears slightly pressed backwards. A Shifter? Hadn't his father spoken about someone important in his life that was Shifter? Or was that an Alkidike? Amber eyes blinked as he tried to recall exactly what story his father had told him, until Gyuri patted his head, effectively grabbing his attention away from his thoughts.
"I've heard of the word Shifter, but never have I seen one, until today." He said, blushing. "My father has traveled the world, at least that's what he's told me, and has met all sorts of people. He's even good friends with a pair of Alkidikes, who he writes to every so often. Have you ever heard of them?"

The older man gave a smile and a nod, "Of course! I was just saying earlier that the storage shed was starting to get a little packed and there are new skins coming in quite often. I need to lighten my stores a bit and you appear. Lucky I would say." The man said, allowing Rastian to explore at his leisure, smiling when he found the Mammu hide, "Nice one, isn't it? They can be a pain at times to get in such good condition and done in one piece like that. Takes a discerning eye to see the value in such a thing." He smiled at the potential buyer, hoping that he would get a good offer for it. While it was a nice, rare piece it was also massive and took up a bit too much room for his liking. So long as the offer was a good one he would be more then happy to roll it up and hand it off to someone else to take care of.
The man listed to the offer, seeming to be thinking on it for a moment before he gave a smile, "The crystals and the dyes, I am most interested in those. Allow me to see them?" He said, knowing the dyes would be quite useful when it came to dying the skins various colors, knowing full well that some loved it when the skins were dyed various colors, children and women especially. Those would be very useful to his business, as for the crystals, well those were for his wife, she often spoke of missing home and some crystals straight from Jauhar where she came from would help to ease that homesickness.
Gyuri starred at Viveka, listening as he chatted, but said nothing. He was a talkative one for sure, but it was nice, it filled the silence that he normally lived with. He was happy to listen to the chatter of the pretty Ice Tribesman for as long as he wanted to stick around. After a moment he realized that he was supposed to answer and he gave a slow nod of his head in the affirmative. He had in fact heard of the Alkidike, though he'd never seen one or met one of them, "Just in stories." He said finally, it wasn't as though they came out this far, at least not that he was aware of. He would like to see one of them perhaps, he heard that they were quite large, that he might even be shorter then one of them, something he found great interest in since he seemed to tower over everyone else that he'd ever met. Meeting someone taller then he was would be nice... though given that they were all women he was still likely to be wider then the lot of them, huh?

"Absolutely, just one moment." Rastian replied, turning from the furs to pull one of his satchels over his head. He allowed it to flop onto it's side as he placed it on the ground before kneeling down to open it. Inside were various papers, feathers, some colorful bags, and plenty of bottles of dye. He took out a few of the colorful bags and set them aside, before moving the papers and feathers away from the bottles of dye so Gyuri's father could see them.
"Alright, these bags contain plenty of crystals, you can pick which are best suited for you." He said, smiling. "And I have about forty jars of dye in all sorts of colors. Feel free to pick as many as you need of any color you want."

Sure, Viveka was talkative, but only because he felt insecure. He still wasn't quite sure if he had insulted Gyuri or not, and the fact that the other man wasn't talking as much as he was caused him to feel even more nervous. The little ice man's face was a light with blush, unbeknownst to himself, and his head was in a tizzy. The only think he could think to do was chatter on and on about whatever popped into his mind, and his mind could go to some pretty interesting places if allowed.
"Oh, stories?" He squeaked. "I've got some interesting ones about ghosts! My mother's a ghost, you know! She likes to wander around in a small statue she made when she was alive, and she always scares me! Funny right...?"

The Ice Tribe hunter watched quietly as the boy set to digging around in his pack, showing to him what it was that he'd requested of Rastian. He gave a nod of his head before stepping forward so that he could set to inspecting each of the various objects that caught his attention. Within Rastian's pack there were a lot of dyes, a lot crystals, and much to the older man's delight they seemed to come in a rainbow of colors, "Wonderful! I think that we should be able to come to an arrangement for the furs that you like that allows us both to end up happy." He said, picking up the dyes and crystals that caught his attention and wouldn't let go. There were some colors that were prolific in Zena, blues, whites, and some times even pink and green, all of it found in the ice here. Others though, fiery colors, those were harder to come across save for the fires they built to keep warm. It was dyes of those warm colors that the man picked out.
Once he got the dyes that he was interested in out, setting them on a table top, he then set to searching through the crystals as well. After a bit of searching he found what he was looking for, the sorts of crystals that one found while in Jauhar, a place he'd only gone once before in the past. He searched through the Jauhar crystals with a very discerning eye, finally deciding upon a what he felt was a fair amount of them. Those crystals were placed alongside the vials of dye he'd already taken out, "This is what I ask for the pelt you are interested in, I will also throw in a smaller pelt, perhaps a Raoti, if you wish."
Gyuri glanced over at his father as the man set to work bargaining with Rastian, something that the man was quite good at. It was one of those things that he wished that he could do. Instead he found himself silent more often then not. Turning back to Viveka he cocked his head to one side, listening as he started to talk about stories about ghosts and then that his mother was a ghost. His mismatched eyes got a bit wide before he reached out to give him a gentle ruffle his hair in a gentle manner, as though consoling the boy. He couldn't imagine losing his mother, she was such a sweet woman, one that had always spoiled him for as far back as he could remember.
When Viveka continued, talking about how his mother visited him, scaring him, he gave a little smile. It seemed that the woman didn't want to leave her boy alone, still wanted to take care of him and tease him. What a wonderful woman he thought to himself, giving a smile.

Rastian observed Gyuri's father and smiled as he picked what he would like. It was the sort of calm smile that made you feel he was content, as if he were simply pleased to be interacting like this, in a pleasant exchange between two businessmen. This was something he lived for, and it was one of the only times he felt truly upbeat.
"I'll take you up on that deal, my friend." He said, nodding. "Would you happen to have any oddly colored Roati fur or, simply put, in blue or purple?"

Viveka shrunk into his shoulders as his hair was ruffled, an action that wasn't exactly unwelcome, just embarrassing. Why didn't Gyuri speak very much? Was he just naturally quiet? Was he not allowed? He tilted his head towards the other man, feeling much like a confused child, and took a breath.
"Uhm..." He said, rubbing the back of his head. "Is there anything you would like to talk about? I kind of feel like I've been talking too much, I hope you don't mind that..."

The older man seemed to consider Rastian's question for a moment before nodding, starting deeper into the storage shed, digging around a moment before he found what he was looking for, "Something like this?" He asked, laying it out before Rastian. It wasn't completely blue, instead the fur was white, but the tips of the hair were a nice, dark blue, which made the hide quite pretty, "Does this one suit your needs?" He asked, hoping that it was the sort of thing that Rastian would take long with the other, bigger hide, in exchange for the various dyes and crystals that he wanted. It would be wonderful, to bring such nice things inside to his wife.
Gyuri starred for a moment at Viveka before giving a slight shrug of his shoulders, not really having a whole lot to say, not really. Still, he should probably say something, huh? He felt that his quietness might be making Viveka uncomfortable. That was the very last thing that he wanted to do... he'd much prefer that the two of them get along instead. After taking a deep breath, as though preparing himself, he said, "I don't mind. Talk all you wish, I will listen." Augh, so many words, it was dizzying... he hoped that Viveka took the lead and set to talking and telling more stories until his friend was done trading with his father, not sure he could do that many more sentences that way.
It wasn't that he had a problem with Viveka, just the opposite, he seemed really nice, if a bit timid, and quite lovely. He was probably the sort that anyone would be more then happy to chat with. It was just a shame he was so terrible at chatting with others he thought to himself.
