Twinkleshine looked up at him, her expression noticeably calmer than when she had arrived? "You'll stay? You'll help?" She paused, as if deciding if he was lying or not. "Really...?" Before she could say anything, her mouth turned into a soft smile and she again buried her head into his chest, making sure not to stab him with her horn.
After all, if she did that, he wouldn't be able to help anymore.
"No... It's not your fault." She sighed, lost in a moment of thought. "How... How am I to tell my daughter though? I'm not so sure how well she will take it." The girl didn't even consider the possibility that the situation may also affect her roommate poorly. The situation was similar to hers with Sparrow; surely there would be no issue in her continuing to live there, just... with more kids... and a visiting dad.

"I was going to offer to raise them for you so you didn't have to worry about it?" Ocie kept petting her. This was his fault after all, and he needed to take responsibility for his actions. No matter how fun they were to start with.
"We'll think of something. This will work out..." He already knew that he couldn't offer to build her a home, anything close to where he'd need to live wouldn't be suitable for her. Okay, he couldn't find anything entirely suited to him either, but that was kind of a different story.

Wait, what? Even if they were a mistake... How could she ever abandon her own kids like that? "No, I could never do that. Ever. Under any circumstance." It would be impossible to just let them go so easily. Even so, his touch did much to comfort her, keeping her from reacting as strongly as her mind did.
"I sure hope so..." was all she could muster. Only the future would tell how badly, or wonderfully, things ended anyways. Hope was all she could do; hope that the children would be fine, hope that Ocie would keep his promise, hope that Sparrow wouldn't hate her for it.

He nodded. It might be better to have a second parent to raise their children. Someone to tell him when he's being stupid about something. Ocie could only wonder just what that was going to mean for his future.
"One step at a time.. Have you told anyone else?" He asked, looking down at her. He really didn't want to deal with the fall out from Sparrow, but it wasn't like he had much choice right now. The sprite was going to be a dad and he had to man up... Right?

Yes, they could do that, the two of them sharing equal responsibility for these children, or perhaps only a child, that would be here soon enough. If nothing else, even if everything else about them fell apart, that alone would be enough.
"No..." She said under her breath as she shook her head. Twinkleshine had wanted, had needed, his support before she could admit it to them. If not that, she needed the confirmation of his leaving. This would be an all or nothing situation, she feared, but there was no turning back now. "Would you... Could you... Maybe...? You know... Be there when I tell her?"

"Are you sure? From how we left last time I don't think Sparrow is going to want anything to do with me..." He would. If that's what Twinkle wanted. But he was also almost certain that he was going to be a filet o' Ocie if Sparrow wasn't happy about it.
Strike that, he was already going to be a filet. His mother was going to have his hide if she ever found out. She hated the thought that she was a mother let alone a grandmother. The sprite could only hope for the best for the unborn.. Whatever was in Twinkle's stomach. Wait a second...
"Do we even know what the baby is going to be? I'm so different and you're a fauny." He blinked, wondering just what exactly they had created.

Twinkleshine shrugged, looking away. "Well... You're going to be around a lot more now that I'm having her sisters. Might be nice to hear the news, at least in part, from their papa." She paused, letting that moment sink in. Perhaps he could serve as a father figure for the girl who, as far as she was aware, had never had one. Her "uncle" could only provide so much support as her friend after all.
Violence was not an issue that even crossed her mind, despite the volatile meeting they last had. As far as she knew about Ocie's family, he didn't even have one anymore; did she really know anything about him...? It sure didn't feel that way.
"Surely other faun and naiad have had children?"

"Sisters? You already know what we're going to have?" He blinked, Great spirits of the water this was insane. "If you want me to be there, I'll be there. Whatever is growing inside of you is my fault, and I'm going to take responsibility." Internally he groaned. So much for being a bachelor. That kind of went out the window when she turned up pregnant...
"If they have, I've never seen them. That's not saying much though, I don't know everything." He shrugged a bit. Ocie didn't know everything that was out there. There could be more pae than he ever imagined possible hiding in the depths of the forests, or in other places that didn't come to mind.

"Sisters? Did I say that?" Sheepishly grinning and her cheeks flushing, Twinkleshine shook her head. "No, I don't know yet. I was just thinking that it would be nice to have girls, don't you?" For all she knew, he would disappear tomorrow never to return, the thought of fatherhood scaring him away. But he wouldn't, of course he wouldn't. In the end, despite the nervousness, there was also excitement and pure bliss that came with her pregnancy.
Again she shrugged; what concern was it of hers if her children were going to be more unique than others. At least she'd know where they came from, unlike her daughter.

"Do you want girls?" Ocie was pretty certain he didn't want girls. If she was going to have girls, then he was going to have to protect them with everything he had. At least with boys they wouldn't have the same chance of being violated like he'd done to Twinkle.
The sprite rubbed his neck. "I don't mind whatever we get." He suggested, knowing Twinkle wanted girls. If she hadn't just been talking about it, he never would have known.
"Do I need to start looking for a home near some water for us?" He wondered aloud, realizing that he couldn't be too far from a large source of water. He also couldn't be too far from the lake. Ocie wasn't suited for it... And if their children were anything like him, they would need to be just as close to water as him

Oh... That was right... Ocie was like Atlantis and needed to be near the lake, which meant it was a very real possibility that her kids would need to be as well. It would be a problem, if not for... "Well, I live in a room in a house on the lake's shore. Maybe they could just live with me there? I don't think there's been a house built on the lake or something yet where half is above water and half is below." She paused contemplating the idea. "That sounds like it'd be a pretty nice place actually..."

"I'm no good at construction though. Until I moved into the lake I mostly just slept under anything I could." Ocie rubbed his neck. He hated to admit he wasn't good at it, but it was damn sure true. He didn't even know someone who was any good at construction, otherwise he'd ask.
But it was a good weight off his shoulder. He didn't have to worry about building or finding someone else to do it. "Do you think Sparrow will be okay living with them?"

Laughing wholeheartedly, Twinkleshine leaned against him. "I'm absolutely terrible at it too! The entire time i helped in making the house, I mostly just got the boys tools or materials. How am I supposed to know what to do anyways? I'm not, that's how," she ended her thought in a matter-of-fact way.
Okay, he seemed to agree with this idea."They'll be in my room when they're young, so they shouldn't cause her much trouble. Besides, before I even realize it, she'll be all grown up and out of the house." She sighed... What would she even do when that day came?

He laughed, that's about how he imagined he'd be building a house. That or laying back and watching someone else build it for him. So there was a good future for their children. He was happy with that. It was something more than he was assured when he was a child.
"Lets just take this one step at a time... I'm sure Sparrow won't be happy about it, but for now... Let's just handle telling her first?" He suggested, reaching out to rest a hand on her swelling tummy.

"I think that's a good idea," Twinkleshine agreed, moving her hand to rest on his. With any luck, the ordeal wouldn't go as poorly as she was afraid it would.
With any luck they could be a happy family.
