Kyrie strained as she took her brother's full weight and she did her very best not to move. Staring down at the floor, she felt her brother shift around and then blinked when his weight was suddenly gone. Turning her head, she saw him flat on his back and she was instantly worried.
"Is! Are you okay?" she asked, crawling closer to him and reaching for his hand. "Did you hit your head?"

Isidore blinked away the stars and looked up at Kyrie with a grin.
"I'm okay, it didn't hurt that much." He replied, making a face as Scim licked him. "Look though, I got the treasure map!"

Kyrie sat back with relief when he said he wasn't hurt that bad, then looked to the parchment in his hand.
"Yay! Let's look at it! We can figure out where everything is and then maybe Momma will take us to the treasure," she grinned with excitement. Grabbing his hand again, she pulled him up into a sitting position and moved close to him so they could look together.

Isidore nodded with excitement and shifted to his knees to spread the map out on the ground. It looked old and the picture looked like a house plan, with many rooms.
"Ohh, I wonder what it is?" he asked as he looked it over with his blue eyes. "Maybe it's a palace, palaces have treasure don't they?"

"Of course they do! Palaces have loads of treasure. In one story I read there was a huge room filled with nothing but gold and jewels and things. Could you imagine Isi?" Kyrie breathed as she looked down at the map and immediately began visualizing the most amazing palace she could think of. Peering at all the rooms, she reached out and pointed to what looked like the biggest. "I bet that's where they keep it."

Isi looked at the map with her, he knew his sister loved pretty things and that she would be in her element in a beautiful palace of sparkly trinkets and gems.
"Yes, that is where I would keep treasure if I had some treasure. A nice huge room." he gave a nod and traced his finger over it.
"We should buy this map and find the palace and then we can find all the treasure!"

"Yes! I like this idea very much," Kyrie grinned and sat back on her heels. Twisting, she reached for their bags and pulled them closer. Digging in her own bag, she produced her box of treasures. "I don't have any money, but do you think they might trade it for something I've got?" she asked as she popped her box open and started to shift her things around. Picking out a sparkly rock she had found in the garden during one exploration, she held it up to him. "What do you think? Do you think they'd like this?" she asked, holding the stone in the palm of her hand.

Isidore watched her look through her box. She had lots of interesting things in there though she was quite secretive about them. When she produced the stone he studied it and looked to the man that their mother was talking to. He was quite short and round and had a long beard, he wondered if he would be interested in the gem.
"I think he would, we can try and ask."

Kyrie nodded and looked between the stone and the map. For a moment, she almost retracted her offer. It was her special treasure after all. But what was one pretty stone in comparison to a huge palace and a room full of treasure?! Nodding decisively, she closed her dark hand around the stone and pushed herself up to her feet. Holding her hand out to her brother to help him up, she turned her attention to the man.
"You bring the map. I'll ask him if he'd like it," she declared as she held the precious trinket against her chest. Taking a deep breath, she stepped forward to stand beside her mother. She waited for a break in their conversation and gave a soft caw to get the man's attention.
"'Scuse me. I'd like to buy this map," she said as she pointed to the parchment.
The man blinked, clearly confused for a brief moment as to where the voice inside of his head was coming from. Looking down to the little crowling, he lifted his brow.
"What map?"

Isidore nodded and carried the map off after her towards the group. He watched his sister as she was brave enough to speak to the man and held the map to his chest, waiting for the answer.
Cosine had just learned that the archive was out in the old ancient city, towards the desert, the man had given them a map and told them where they could find a guide. As Kyrie piped up she looked down at her children and smiled a little.
"Yousef, this is my son and one of my daughters. You have to forgive them, like most children they are naturally curious."

Yousef looked up to the goddess as she explained the little ones' presence and gave a slightly crooked grin as he looked back down at them.
"I would not expect anything less," he replied.
Sighing impatiently, Kyrie took the map gently from her brother and held it up to the man.
"This map," she replied as if that should have been obvious, which in her opinion it was since she had pointed to it. "I can pay. I have this," she said. Opening her other hand, she held the stone up for him to see.
Yousef looked from the map to the stone in the girl's hand and gave a little laugh.
"That map is very special. I cannot trade it for some crystal," he said gently with a small shake of his head.

Cosine looked to the pair of them and the desparation on her daughter's face.
"How much?" She asked him. "I have means to pay for the map." If it would keep them occupied then any money would be worth it.

Kyrie had become absolutely crestfallen when he said her special stone was not worth anything. Wrapping her dark fingers around it, she lowered her hand and looked up at her mother.
Yousef looked up in surprise at the goddess' offer to pay for the map and smiled.
"Twenty-five pieces of gold," he replied.
Kyrie's eyes opened wide as her mother offered to pay and even more at the man's reply. That was a lot. Swallowing in nervous anticipation, she glanced to her brother. She really, really hoped that was not too much.

Isidore watched the exchange expectantly, his jaw dropping as the man's price was revealed, that certainly sounded a lot. Though really, he had no concept of how much 25 pieces of gold really was, it did sound a lot, because gold was worth a lot of money.
"Oh really?" Cosine said with a smirk. "Seems a lot for some piece of parchement with some lines. "I'll give you ten."
"Oh dad did this with the elves." Isi whispered to Kyrie. "You try and get a lower price, it's like arguing a bit but you're not angry. I can't remember the word. I hope mama gets a good price." he was sure she would, after all she was a Goddess, a goddess of number no less.

Kyrie leaned in close to her brother as he whispered, then looked up at the adults. They didn't look like they were arguing, though he had mentioned they weren't angry and she suspected that made a difference.
Yousef smiled and held his hand out for the map.
"They may be lines on paper, but it is where the lines lead you that is special," he smiled. "I will take twenty."
Kyrie frowned as he held his hand out for the map and she took a small step back. Maybe she had something more special in her box she could offer...
