"Thanks for the rescue, man," Aster smiled up to her savior. She clenched her face together, wincing in pain. She knew that the General would be back on her feet in seconds, which left little time for any other action. She took a deep breath in, lungs filled with oxygen as she pulled herself off the ground. "You think you can run?" she gasped for a breath. She looked for an exit, a few possible ways to make a run for it, but then back at the General, almost with a sense of pity - and then an idea! "Run for it while you can." She lunged forward - not at the General, but at her weapon - hoping to pry it from her hands and toss it away as a distraction for the both of them to make a run. Of course, she'd have to be lucky enough to get it out of her hands, first...

"We need to go," Luxor said blandly, though there was a sense of urgency in his eyes and his body language. He had trouble putting most of his emotions into his tone, but at the moment it was suddenly a very easy thing to do. He watched her, shaking his head and motioning for her to come to him, one hand over his injury. He saw she was bleeding, and he had almost seen her starseed pulled.
All told, he really needed a drink.
"You need to come with me." He was in terrible pain, but he needed her to come with him. He knew that she was going to try and get them a distraction, but it wasn't in him to leave her. Maybe that was just part of this knight thing. He was a little distant away, not close enough to help her if she needed it.
Painite was distracted enough to not see Aster's move, though she reached out for her weapon in a small panic when it was moved from her grip. She missed, the blood running down her face getting into her eye and making it difficult for her to see. He had cracked her as hard as he could, and it had done enough to keep her down for a longer moment than she wanted.
"You bloody little brats!" she cursed, struggling to get to her feet. She was furious, and it was enough to make her forget she could call her weapon back to her.
"Come on!" Luxor urged, grabbing on to Aster's arm.

Aster tossed the spear as many yards away as she could to distract the General as she turned to Luxor. One arm wrapped around her wound - putting pressure on the bleeding - she felt weak. Her other arm was grabbed by Luxor, pulling her along until she was able to move on her own. "Jump," she uttered weakly as she leapt onto a rooftop - the bounced off to another and another until the General's power signature was far away enough to no longer detect. She landed into a park, hoping for Luxor to be behind her as she collapsed into a bench to catch a breath.

Painite did not seem to follow after them, probably too angry and frustrated with herself. She might have been yelling at their shadows, telling them it was not over and she would find them and kill them soon enough. She meant every word, as she always did, though the ones that managed to make her bleed were always the ones she hated the most.
They were on her list.
Luxor was panting when he caught up to Aster, wobbling and leaning on the bench once he reached it. He had lost a lot of blood, and was feeling woozy. He was shaking and pale, but he was grimly determined. If he was not powered up, it was likely he would not be able to have pushed himself so far. He looked at her, plainly worried now.
"We need to go to the hospital. You're bleeding badly," he moved toward her, stooping next to her to look at the injury. "I'm sorry, this is my fault. I didn't know she was so dangerous..." he had no idea what he was doing, actually, and that just made him hate it all more. He had to get better, he had to protect people like Aster, who he trusted and cared about, so people like Painite couldn't do these terrible things to them.
He didn't even want to think about how close to Aster's starseed Painite had gotten.

"Power down, man. Otherwise we're going to ring some alarms," Aster winced. She powered down to the twenty-one year old girl, Haley Jones, wincing in pain on a bench. It wasn't the first time she was stabbed and beaten - the last time was even worse, but she had a rescuer and magic healing to save her then. This time? Not the same. She wasn't a fan of hospitals - but did she have much choice? She started dialing an emergency number of her old, antiquated cellphone as she offered the boy some support so they can limp out of the park together and get the urgent care they need.

Luxor watched her, then nodded his head and powered down after her, though he wobbled immediately. He leaned on the bench again, his head becoming instantly light and his body reeling from the sudden sensation of being powerful to being very, very weak.
It was a heavy blow to take all at once.
Chester moved to help support her, imagining they would both need the help. He was a muscular man, nearing 30 these days though he hated that idea, and he had more than a few years under his belt as far as injuries went. He was battered quite substantially during his time in his moving carnival, and now from these battles. But it didn't make it easier. He was thankful for her supporting him, since he was mostly only faking the gesture to be nice and to make himself feel better about it.
He was feeling too weak, but he would actually be glad to get to the hospital now. He knew his limits, and he was well past them.

By the time the two got to the outer limits of the park, an ambulance was already pulling up as Haley had requested. The each got in on different stretchers, and when they arrived at the hospital were separated - but Haley made a note to give Chester another visit just as soon as she's recuperated. Whenever that will be...
