Bischofite watched the knight intently - curious, but cold. He needn't reveal his inclinations behind the setup, but what the man asked for was to whet his inquisitive nature. And so he would oblige, in perhaps one of the more abstract means of justifying his inclinations. "Let me tell you somesing zat might help you understand zis game, Valhalla. You see, I grasp a concept zat makes my actions much more flexible zan yours, or hers, or anyone else's here. I am ze one wis' ze most freedom here, for a very simple reason: I haf' come to terms wis' ze fact zat my actions do not change anysing." He shrugged flippantly and turned his gaze skyward. "To know zat ze means do not alter ze end is bos' accepting ze futility of your life and embracing ze freedom it offers.
"Here, it's little different - and perhaps you'll understand zat soon. No matter what you do, someone gets hurt. Your actions don't make a difference to ze ends results here - someone will die by assault, and zat is ze best Gift* I can gif' you: ze knowledge zat you are free to act as you will, because nossing you do will impact ze end." He smiled, and finally shifted his attention to the knight once more.
With the mention of one of his superiors, he laughed. "I'm surprised you know of zat name - not many meet wis' ze general-kings, you know." He breathed a sigh, filling his lungs with the cool night air, quelling a minor mutiny of chaos therein. "So you know him, and are able to contact him on a reliable basis? Interesting." Skeptical though he was, he hadn't quite convinced himself that the knight's words were so easily dismissed.
But as he had mentioned before, the end never changed - if he received punishment for his actions, then he would've met with the same fate regardless of his decisions this night.
"I am impressed, Valhalla, and your kind does not often offer me zat chance." He chuckled and leaned forward, excitement apparent in his countenance. "Tell Zinkenite I said hello, should you find ze chance."
As his words petered out in the abandoned skate park, Crystallite turned his attention to the senshi who retaliated in such a vociferous manner. "Who cares why he's doing it? Look, if you don't play along, think about how this is all gonna go to hell. He'll do God-knows-what to these kids," the blue-haired captain gestured toward the fence, "then he'll order us to mop the floor with you two, and after that? ******** if I know, probably kill our families for not asking how high when he tells us to jump. You really want that to happen? At least if you stick with it, there's a chance for these kids to live, if you even care about something like that." Crystallite might not have valued human life too highly, but he valued his own life in a manner that anyone could appreciate. This brazen senshi's outburst simply threatened his livelihood.
Bischofite, on the other hand, was keen to Carnelian's movements. He showed genuine interest toward the task at hand, given how he adopted a stance as if to ready his attack. "Carnelian, gif' zem twenty more seconds to digest ze situation, zen feel free to attack. Ozzerwise, who knows what will befall of zese folk?" Soon after, he summoned his chakrams, dull and mottled with rust in the moonlight.

[Attempting to sway Crystalite. Dammit Krishna, be more charismatic.]
Krishna was a patient man. He could spend hours in practice to master a technique, be it with flowers, soccer, or fighting. He could wait in long lines without a flicker of emotion on his face or repeat commands until they were followed precisely. Yet, for all that patience, he deplored wasted words when actions were more honest, more definitive.
But he had lost his patience for this nonsense the moment he had been attacked and dragged here. This current Negaverse agent who summoned the chakrams? He was practically braying at the moon, going on about how actions meant nothing, changed nothing... which of course was absolutely wrong. If he believed that, why attack? Why do anything? Why not just curl into a weak, jelly blob? Why accept the sweet intoxication of the Dark Gift?
"You," he intoned, directing his words specically for the blue-haired captain who had taken the time snap back at a Senshi. "Release us. No good comes of insanity."

Persephone gave the Knight a small nod. "That would be my ideal ending too..." She agreed quietly. If there was a way to take out the leader and stop this whole mess before it got out of hand, that was absolutely something she wanted to do. "I've met officers, they're not...like him..." Sure, she'd fought some, but none of them were like this. She felt like she was actually looking evil in the face.
That was creepy, woo.
"I am one hundred percent useless in the magic department, sorry to say - a little healing and energy, but...not much more. I can bite his ankles if I have to?" She was eternally conscious of how small she was in comparison to...well, most everyone.
She turned her focus to the Lieutenant, who seemed so very reluctant. "Hey, you don't have to do this, right? I'm pretty sure we're all in agreement that your boss is crazy - but you can get out of here, and take the civilians, and leave him to us, yeah?" She took a breath. "I've met agents," she repeated, this time for everyone and not just Valhalla, "Generals, even, and I know you don't have to be like this! You mentioned a family - would they want to think of you this way?"
All the while she was watching Bischofite, waiting for an opening. One would have to come sooner or later.

Truth be told, he didn't want to attack anyone, least of all someone clearly more powerful than himself. Valhalla, no doubt, had some kind of horrid weapon on a chain in his hands, something he could likely swing around and hand out concussions like candy on Halloween. No thank you! Carnelian had plans to go home in one piece tonight, snuggle with his girlfriend and plan their upcoming wedding. He had a life to attend to, dammit!
Getting out alive and with the plainclothes officer in tow were the main goals of the night though Bischofite's blatant threats were making him incredibly nervous. Technically, Carnelian was under Bischofite's control due to senshi being given lower rank in the Negaverse regardless of power. But he had a choice, didn't he? Disobey and escape? Carnelian had the power to teleport, but so did Bischofite and insubordination would likely be reported and punishment swift.
Rock and a hard place.
The corrupted senshi nodded nervously to the supervising Captain and took a few more steps backward, placing himself between Krishna and Valhalla while side-eyeing Persephone. There were just too many people present to keep track of and his magic was mediocre at best. Having never practiced teleporting, Carnelian wasn't even sure he could get himself to safety, let alone carrying a passenger.
"Listen... just... turn around and leave the way you came. That seems like the best option here." he whispered to the Order soldiers, hoping Bischofite could not hear him.

”Kind of ironic that someone who works for chaos doesn’t seem to believe in the chaos theory,” he commented offhandedly, not really wanting to engage Bischofite in more conversation, but thought his concept of thing being unable to change was ridiculous. If anything, he wanted to prove this sociopath wrong.
”That’s not useless at all,” Valhalla reassured, although there wasn’t enough time to make sure that she knew he was sincere. There was nothing useless about being able to heal, and he personally saw it as something to be very proud of. “Do you think you can land an attack? A kick or something? However you’ve been dusting youma,” he asked, hoping that he wasn’t just making a fool of himself in assuming that a Super Senshi had fought a youma or two before.
He spoke low enough for Persephone to hear, hoping that it would be done quickly enough to actually take advantage of the others’ distractions. “I promise I’ll cover you,” he told her, taking a moment to look away from their opponents to meet her eyes, wanting her to know that he would very well risk his life if he had to.
He turned to face the corrupted senshi, lifting his weapon at the ready in front of him, his generally warm golden eyes now hard with determination. “Help us get them to safety and we’ll leave,” he hissed back at Carnelian, taking a few steps forward as the senshi backed up, wanting it to seem as though he was advancing to attack when he really just wanted to close some distance between himself and the civilians, as well as be within range to help Persephone out if she attacked, despite her doubt in her abilities.
“Well?? Are you going to follow your superior’s orders or not?” Valhalla spoke louder this time with the intent on having the others hear as well. He hoped this guy was as bright as he seemed, and would realize that Valhalla was talking about Zinkenite, or anyone else in a higher rank than Bischofite. A rank titled “General-King” sounded much more impressive than “Captain”.

Carnelian was weighing his options - it was very effectively communicated to him when joining the Negaverse that insubordination would not be tolerated. Bischofite already threatened him for disobedience... but it went against everything the corrupted senshi knew about saving people to be told that civilians were simply fodder. It just wasn't right.
Leveling a look at Valhalla, Carnelian swallowed a lump in his throat. "...alright. Just... tell me what you need me to do... he's already threatened my family... I hope you understand what a risk I'm taking here by helping you... I just don't want these people to be harmed because of a war they're not involved in."
Stiffening, the corrupted stood up straight curled his hands into fists. He glanced sideways at Bischofite to see if he was watching. "You should have left while you had the chance, knight!" came a semi-threatening reply, followed by a harsh whisper. "Move out of the way when you see the energy bands..." While his attack wouldn't do much to someone more powerful that he, (really, it'd be nothing more than an inconvenience), it was still something Carnelian could do to show he was "following orders".
Holding up his hands, the corrupted senshi snapped his fingers. "PAIN!"
Bands of white energy form around the target Carnelian is currently facing. There is a two second delay before the energy bands collapse and dissipate into the target, causing pain to erupt in a part of their body. The pain is much like a muscle spasm or like one's leg falling asleep - prickly and painful. These bands can be dodged because of the delay and the limited range of the attack, and allies can be hit with it. The effect wears off after one minute. He can use this twice per battle. The target can only be hit when within ten feet of Carnelian.

Due to a request, I am writing an ending for this event that will enable everyone to reference it in the future, since the happenings therein are so unpredictable. Since the event is difficult to continue in its current state, this is the preferred alternative to simply letting it die.
Since I cannot parrot player characters, I will write this ending OOCly.

For this night, your characters can safely assume that:
- All of the player civilians survived the night, though they each sustained injury (left up to the player owners as for the extent). - Carnelian teamed up with Valhalla and Persephone to subdue Bischofite and rescue the civilians (as supplied by Guine). - Per player choice: Valhalla, Persephone and Carnelian can sustain up to minor injuries from Bischofite in the process. - Per player choice: Taye and Krishna can sustain up to moderate injuries from Bischofite during the event. - The NPC civilian escaped due to the three's efforts, but was run over by a drunk driver and did not survive. Life's a b***h. - The captain attempting to work with Bischofite sustained grievous injury in the tussle and later died to a random mugging.
