I'm a crazy devoted etc. fan of Matantei Loki and Kinoshita Sakura's works in general. It's a beautiful mixture of well-researched Norse mythology and detective mystery. It's funny but could be very serious at times. Also, the anime and manga are completely different, but they're both worth it.
Other manga I love:
The Tarot Cafe it's supernatural and unexpected and beautiful, it's got both action and romance and weirdness and, basically, something to suit any taste
Kira Kira Labyrinth was also one of the few detective manga that I really liked but sadly, I couldn't find much of it anywhere.
Also, I'm very fond of "Kami-sama no Inai Nichiyoubi" webcomic. Still, the plot hasn't gotten too far.

My favorite manga right now would be The Betrayal Knows My Name by Hotaru Odagiri. It has a great storyline, artwork & strong female character. It is one of my favorite shoujo manga's at the moment. I can't wait for the next volume of the manga to come out later this month.

I have too many favorites to count but I suppose my top favorite is kamisama kiss. Chapter 100 has finally come out online, the conclusion of saving tomoe thankfully the manga is still continuing.

Crowley King of Perdition Pandora Hearts. It is the perfect blend of action, fantasy, and depth. i'd love to read that some day.
