"There is no such thing as a stupid question... Or so they say," Lizzy replied with a forced chuckle, pausing briefly before shrugging and sighing softly, "I guess I've been better? I'll be alright though... It's just..."
She started to gesture with her hands, trying to show what the inside of her mind so often felt like recently since she couldn't describe it in words. When she couldn't quite describe it in gestures either, she let her hands drop onto her lap, "Things just take a... Longer time to straighten out in my head, I think."

“Naaah…I am fairly certain there are stupid questions.” Hel mused, and nodded her head once more. “…It makes sense.” She agreed with a nod. A jumbled, frazzled mess of a mind. Hel had been experiencing that for the past year. She got it. “Ya…” The reaper trailed off, and shifted a bit anxiously. Trying to be…a positive encouragement was a foreign territory for her, and it showed. “…Hey uh…Lizzy?” Hel started. “…Have you ah…spoken to Mac since… then…?” The ghoul paused. “…If you have not…I really do believe you should.” Hel’s brows furrowed. “And…I think I can guess that that might open up some more wounds but…it has been such a long time, and I think it would help if you did…once upon a time, I felt like I could hate Mot forever, and be forever hurt by what happened…but we reached out, we talked, we went through another bump but then things smoothed out and…” Here, Hel smiled. “I know I have a friend for life, no matter what happens, and I am back to always laughing when I spend time with him.” Hel frowned. “…Ah…but…I am not saying that is guaranteed for everyone…ya? But…” She reached up and rubbed the back of her neck. “You will not know until you try.”

"... No," Lizzy confessed with a sigh, twiddling her thumbs as she looked away, "And he hadn't come looking for me, so I thought that it's supposed to stay this way-" She trailed off, muttering something inaudible under her breath as she pulled her legs up onto the bed, hugging her knees, "-and it's not like I hate him or anything like that... I just don't know how to face him. What am I even supposed to say to him?"

Hel nodded her head…and then laughed.
“Ah…I am not laughing at you…ah…I am laughing at Mac.” Hel admitted with a soft amused smile. “Because while he is stubborn and can be outgoing in some areas…he is pretty much a p***y else wise…you should know!” Hel’s smile widened, and she finally moved closer to Lizzy. The ghoul reached out and planted her hands on top of the ghoul’s knees, and leaned a bit.
“It is not supposed to stay this way.” She informed the ghoul. “Unless that is what you both agreed upon.” But she highly doubted that, so she continued. “I imagine you two would still try to be friends, ya? So you get the guts—“ She patted Lizzy’s knees. “You go knock on that a*****e’s door, and when he opens it, you say ‘hi’ and you follow it up with ‘how are you’—and then you wait…because that is what friends do.”

"A... p***y?" Brow furrowed, Lizzy was about to say that Mac was a puppy rather than a p***y when she realized that that was not what Hel was trying to say, "A-ah, no, we did not agree on anything when we parted ways..."
A pause followed, "When we broke up once before, under very different circumstances, I did that before... Maybe I'll do it again this time." She sighed, hugging her knees closer as she placed her forehead over Hel's hands, "Maybe. But it'll probably take a decade off my lifespan."

“Ya! A little punk a** b***h!” Hel cried cheerfully. “…Er…a coward. Yanno!” She waved a hand idly, and then looked down at the spider demoness.
Ah…when they first broke up, huh? Hel had been vaguely aware of that time. She had punched Mac in the face actually! After he told her he broke up with Lizzy at the batting cages…how funny…how time changes them. The ghoul was snapped out of her thoughts as she felt Lizzy’s cool forehead on top of her hands…and oddly enough, Hel leaned to rest her forehead on top of Lizzy’s pink hair, mindful of her little head horns.
“I know we wish that others would take the initiative and the effort to come to us first…but it does not mean they care any less when we take the first step to them…plus…if we waited around on others who p***y-footed…well…nothing would ever get done!” Hel then laughed, softly. “Lizzy…I would rather have a shortened life full of risks and chances and losses and rewards…than a longer life full of what-ifs, regrets, doubts, and wonders…because I whole heartedly believe in nothing ventured, nothing gained.” She waggled her fingers gently, on the ghoul’s knees.
“Go talk to him.”

"What if we are both cowards?" She muttered, sighing loudly before removing her forehead from its position on Hel's hands; she didn't say anything, but the sigh meant that she recognized the fact that there really was no other way around the issue, not if she wanted some kind of really belated closure... Be it good or bad. Maybe the idea that a talk would somehow make things worse was contributing to her unwillingness to do it.

Well, Hel may change, and turn over a new leaf, and aim to be better than the reaper she was her first year…but that also meant it didn’t curb her hot headedness, stubbornness, tenacity and well…lack of patience. As Lizzy pulled away and muttered, Hel took a step back, and shoved her knuckles into her mouth, letting out a loud, exasperated sound. Her eyes were rolled up to the ceiling as her chest heaved a few times, and after a few moments, Hel took her knuckles out of her mouth and planted her fists on her hips, leveling Lizzy a look. “Well, if you are both cowards, then there is nothing I can do for either of you. I can not make you go talk to him, and I can not attempt to mend your relationship for either of you, nor will I.” Hel huffed, and then dropped her heated tone, letting her shoulders relax. “I can not talk to him about this like I can to you. Mac would think I was nagging him, and then to spite me, he would not do a thing, because he is a ******** a*****e. He is an immovable object…unless someone bends first.” Which Hel knew Lizzy could do. “I truly do wish I could say talking to him would turn out good, but I truly do not know. Regardless, whether it is good or bad…I truly do think it would help you both…but as I said before, I can not make either of you do it.” Hel shrugged. “It is your move now, friend. I have done all I could now.” Here, Hel smiled.

"I didn't say I wouldn't do it. I just meant that it wouldn't be easy for me to take that first step," Lizzy smiled sheepishly, pushing her bangs back with one hand as she looked at Hel, "Well... You are nagging, but it's not necessarily a bad thing? People nag because they have your best interests at heart... At least, that's how it's like for me."

Lizzy said she was nagging. She was nagging. Hel let out a loud and exasperated groan that very much resembled the sound of a whale ‘singing’. The look on the ghoul’s face was of utter disappointment as well. “Jackin’ A.” She muttered, reaching up to run her hands through her hair in frustration. “I am trying to stop…and I was so certain I was!” She then muttered something about trying to do the right thing and nagging and stupid and it became unintelligible after that. Hel let out a sigh, and a sour look before it went away. “Ah well…it would not mean anything if it was easy.” She replied simply. “…Well…that is all I got for you, now, friend.” Hel replied, resting her hands on her hips. “I am going to take my leave…to let you…ah…think I guess.”

"I will be doing a lot of thinking, yes," Lizzy sighed too, gently rubbing her temples before sliding off the bed. Walking over to the door, she held it open for Hel, "I'll see you around... Thank you again."

“Ya…I get that…but at the same time too…do not over think it either…it is very possible to do that.” Hel uttered. If anything, that was something else she had got stuck doing this past year. Over thinking things and making them worse for herself. “Ya…I will see you around. Start getting outside more or something.” The reaper replied, and nodded her head a bit as she made her way to the door. “Ah…no need to thank me for anything…” She headed out then. “I will see you around, Lizzy.” Then she was gone.
