Grayce raised an eyebrow, surprised, "...Really? That's unusual...I just thought...you know, that's the way things were done...huh. I mean, they like each other?" He shrugged, "I don't know about love." He said, looking at her. When he saw she was sad, he furrowed his eyebrows and tried to console her, "Don't be upset, really, it's not that bad! I mean, we're still a family.." He trailed off thoughtfully, 'at least, I think so...'
He laughed manically as she came closer, "No no! Stoooop, i'm DYING~!" Once they were both settled, he patted her small head, "Good. Best not to have them worry, especially if you stay late or something."

Timpani giggled and lightly tapped him with a wing. "You're not dying...unless you can die from being stared at? Is that possible!? Oh no, don't die Grayce! You're so much fun!" she giggled as he patted her head with his funny hooves. "Like a sleep over?" she asked. "Maybe when I get bigger, I like sleeping in my own little nest!" she said nodding her head matter of factly.
Timpani nodded and sighed. "I guess. I just never heard of a family not being together all the time." she got a wistful look on her face staring off daydreaming. "That's how I want it to be when I get older. I want to meet a handsome stallion, and we'll go galloping off into the sunset on all kinds of adventures, and then maybe someday we'll have lots of adorable little babies!" she giggled and shook her head. Then looked up at the sky, and noted that the sun had slipped well past noon and was moving towards early evening. She huffed and got up. "I guess...I should go home now..." she grumped.

Grayce laughed at Timapani, in a good-natured sort of way, "Yes! Yes, you can die from stares! Deadly, malicious, CUTE stares!" He said, dramatically, while sticking his tongue out at her, "Glad to know I'm fun. And sleep over, yes - maybe. Like I've said, talking to your parents, plus we've only just met!" He wriggled his segmented hooves, " I could be.....DANGEROUS!~" Grayce bared his teeth at her, making him look silly, rather than scary, before settling back down. He chuckled as she mentioned something about nests, and turned his gaze toward the sky.
"Yeah, I want to meet a handsome stallion and go galloping off into the sunset too" He said, nodding seriously, "Yeah, defiantly, and he'd have to be super dreamy, and handsome, and lovely and nice" He was mocking her, and raising his voice to sound more like a female's, and turned to stick his tongue out again so that he could blow out a raspberry at her playfully. He regained his semi-serious personality, after a moment of laughing, and smiled at her, "I'd have to meet this stallion before you go gallivanting off with this delinquent!" He said, softly slapping down one hoof, all the while keeping his smile in place, "Ok?" He added, before getting up fro his position on the grass.
"Yeah, it is getting late....want me to walk you home? Or do you want to do it all by yourself?" He asked, raising an eyebrow curiously.

Timpani practically fell over in giggles. "If you're dangerous, then I'm suuuper dangerous! I eat your dreams and give you nightmares! Woooo~" she said making ghost sounds. Her wings buzzed as she tried to keep from crying from laughing so hard.
As he began to tease her she screwed her her face pouting a bit. "You can't go off with a stallion! You're already a boy!" she said head butting him. "I mean I guess you could if you really wanted too...but what would you do?" she asked trying to figure that one out. She then grinned. "Okay, if and when I find this stallion I like you can meet him. Check him out and make sure he's okay." she said with a nod.
She sighed and looked back towards the way she had to go. It was getting dark under the trees and she wasn't overly fond of the dark that lurked in the woods. There were all sorts of unseen things like spider webs and they were just icky. She didn't want to seem to much like a baby though either to Grayce. "Ummm....You can if you want too...?" she said hoping that that sounded like it was completely up to him and not that she wanted him to come along.

He tried his best to not fall into a waterfall of laughter himself as watched the young filly devolve into a puddle of giggles. "A dream eater huh? Spooooky!" He gave a snot and flicked his tail in amusement. "I'll never sleep again, with you around." He proclaimed.
"I can SO go off with a stallion! If I like....But that's not really my thing, I suppose." He guffawed as she rammed her head into his, "Hey!" He said, halfheartedly before raising his hoof to his forehead in mock disbelief. Grayce smiled at her, "Good. All stallions must be approved by me!"
Grayce shuffled on his hooves as she looked into the dark forest, "Hmm....It is really dark," He began, raising an eyebrow at her. "Nahhh, with all those skinwalkers and kalona about, I think you'll be able to take them!" He announced, turning around like he was about to leave her to walk by herself, "Have fun! Good luck" He said as he was trotting away - before he stopped and began laughing mercilessly. "Haha, I'm just kidding. Of course I'm going to walk you home. No way you're going back by yourself. It's too dangerous."

Her entire little frame sagged visibly in relief. While she knew there were big scary things like skinwalkers and kalona, the first was the reason big brother Pach and Beat had to go away after all, they were intangible concepts really for the little filly. Spiders though, and creepy crawlies...definitely more scary and cause for shrieks of terror.
She nuzzled slightly into him and then started in the direction she'd come from. "I came this way!" she said wings buzzing. She trotted a little down the path and then glanced back at him. "So what sort of stallion do you think I should find?" she said tilting her head. "I wanna make sure you'll like him." she grinned and bounced a bit as he caught up, then darted down the path again, wings buzzing.
She turned back to look at him, then squealed, as a spider was dangling just in front of her face. "No! NO! Eeeeeeeeee!!!!" she skittered backwards in terror.
