x x x x x x ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── Oh, it had been a long, boring few weeks. The heat of summer was fading to the crispness of fall, the cool air lifting stray locks of hair off the nape of the female's neck as she walked up the steps, her hand holding - or being held - by a tiny one that few would mistake for a daughter. Thea preferred spring and winter, two polar opposites, but neither had the stench of decay and death lingering in the air. It was no matter.
But she had been bored, so dull, and Kohii had brought up the suggestion she'd made to her mistress years ago. You should bring home another friend, she'd suggested, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. The homunculous had laughed it off, not in the mood for anyone else to be around, save for her precious Kohii, and that had been the end of it. Time had passed, stretching into infinity, and the female had grown more and more depressed over time. Not that she would ever admit or acknowledge it. Her moods grew dour as she moped around the house, losing interest in almost everything she had previously enjoyed, but it was only when she saw true worry in her little tsukumogami's eyes that she had capitulated.
With her contacts, it was quite easy to find a place where she would be able to find a companion of sorts, though even as she crossed the threshold to the manor and bid the girl at the front desk welcome, Thea had her doubts. In truth, she had it in mind to find someone more suited to Kohii's tastes, perhaps a companion for her. Someone to play with while she herself was busy with her affairs. She filled out the paperwork neatly, in a precise script that spoke of long hours practicing and elegance in her handwriting. Returning it to the woman with a thin smile, she patiently waited until a few sheets of paper were returned to her, slaves that might suit her needs. Believing her request for a companion for her Kohii to be the one being fulfilled, she nodded and took to the halls, the tsukumogami swinging her hand excitedly. The bellboy and guard were both clearly used to seeing uncommon sights and led her to one of the wings after she told them who she wished to see first.
"You could at least try to look happy, Thea!" Kohii scolded her, looking up at the female with a childish frown. "You're going to scare whoever we see if you look so grumpy like that!"
Looking down at her in amusement, Theana smiled faintly. "You think so?" she asked. Getting an affirmative nod, she sighed a bit. "All right, all right. I shall do my utmost not to send them into spasms of terror, all right?" the ruby-eyed woman asked, a smile twitching up the corners of her lips. Kohii looked pleased by the change of expression and nodded firmly. That brought the corners of Thea's lips twitching up again as they continued to follow the guard down the halls until reaching the door they wished to see first. Looking at it, as if for a hint of something to tell her what was inside, Thea started when Kohii rapped her knuckles against the door a few times before opening it. "Kohii, you're supposed to --"
"Hello!" the spirit called out to whomever the resident was, surely startling them. Thea sighed and stepped in as well, while Kohii looked around curiously.

![User Image]() Adam Osterson ☽Adam was still lying on the floor as he heard footsteps coming down the hall. He was use to the sound, ignoring it, well aware that no one would want such a handful of a slave in their home. So far, no one had, and he believed that's how it was going to stay. The knocking on the door made him sit up, causing his head to spin as he reached out and slapped the cover of his sketchbook closed as the door opened. If there hadn't been a woman...and a smaller woman, entering his room, he would have flung the sketchbook across the room, hoping it would find its way to a safe hiding spot. Letting anyone see his sketches was on of the last things Adam wanted. His talent was a secret he intended to keep to himself. He nearly growled at the thought of one of these woman going threw the book, but instead, he got to his feet and grabbed the chairs from the wall, and set them back where they belonged arounf the table. It was the pencil that was bothering him. He wasn't supposed to have it, seeing as if could easily be used to stab someone. If these women took it from him, he would probably just pout until they left him be.
Standing in the center of the room, Adam pulled the hat off of his head, and made it roll down his arm and into his other hand, smiling as he caught it and placed it back atop his hair. Such an act usually recieved some sort of response from the spectator, but each time gave a different response which made it easier for him to tell which kind of person he was talking to. He gave a slight bow and intorduced himself, smiling away like he was talking to a good friend. "Hello, ladies. My name is Adam, but feel free to call me whatever you like." A playful wink, and he was already glad he had some company for once. And not just any company, but the company of a beautiful woman with eyes like his, and her... Well, what was the shorter one? She wasn't exactly human, unless the smell was coming from the taller of the two. With them standing so close to one another, their scents mixed and he simply decided that he wouldn't be able to tell what either one of them were anyways.
The sight of his room was a bit different from the others. His drum set took up one corner of the room next to his guitar, and he had his comforter and pillows in another corner, away from the bed. He couldn't stand sleeping with something so thick on top of him or under his face. Sheets and a thing pillow was all he needed on his bed. He would probably get hell from someone for not making his bed pretty, but the sheets were without wrinkle and his pillow was fluffed. Adam had at least kept the comforter folded and all the pillows placed together in a nice pile. He wasn't the sort to leave a mess, but he wasn't entirely against clutter. ☾

x x x x x x ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── As they came into the room, Kohii immediately went up to the male in it, clapping in excitement and giggling a bit when he pulled off his little trick with his hat. Theana smiled indulgently, glancing around the room and taking note of its appearance and what the things meant. Nothing was very messy and she wondered how long he had been here. Was he the sort to make himself at home immediately, or did he take time to settle into things? It was an interesting question for her and she made a mental note of it, preferring to remember things like that. The homunculous kept a careful eye on the male, never trusting anyone completely when it came to Kohii's well-being, and moved a bit inside the room to shut the door. Neither were inclined to go through his things, or take anything away from him, as someone else might have been.
"Hi! I'm Kohii! Do you play all of these? Really?" the tsukumogami asked in surprise, sounding more than awed as she looked around curiously at the instruments. While a child might have touched, the little spirit did no more than peer at them with wide eyes, before looking back over to the male. "You must be really talented, too! What else do you do?" she asked him, heading back over to him with her hands clasped behind her back. Glancing over at Theana as she took a seat in a chair nearby, Kohii pointed over at the taller woman. "That's Theana," she introduced her cheerfully.
The homunculus nodded her head in greeting, crossing one knee over the other and resting her hands on the top one. "I'm sorry if we disturbed you. Kohii can be a little bit impatient when it comes to new things," she said, her voice soft and a bit firm, but not harsh as she looked back over at him. "I'm rather surprised we found you in such a quiet activity, considering how much noise you must make at other times," she added in what seemed like faint amusement, referring to the musical instruments in the room. Not that she cared, or minded. While she wasn't a fan of modern music, she still respected the skill and talent that the artists possessed. Just because she didn't like it didn't make it any less of a skill. Besides, she encouraged Kohii to try new things as well. And in return, she'd been bullied into finding someone else to take home, she thought in amusement.
Clearly uninterested in her mistress at the moment, Kohii circled the man a few times, looking at him curiously. She was a spirit and saw things differently than humans did, or even than Theana did. "I bet you'd really like to get out of this place," she guessed cheerfully, stopping in front of him and looking up at him with a wide smile. "How long have you been in here?"
"Kohii."
The gentle reprimand made her sigh. "I'm sorry for being nosy. You don't have to answer that. Well, the last thing. But do you want to leave?" she asked, peering up at him. "We have a very big house, there's plenty of room for your stuff too!" the tsukumogami assured him with a grin.

![User Image]() Adam Osterson ☽The way the smaller one seemed to be pleased with his performance meant that he could keep her entertained with the simple things he did. A few back flips, and a card trick, and he could probably wiggle a smile from her if she was ever mad at him. She was somewhat like a child. The thought hit him hard, and he had to pull his attention back to where he was now, in his prison, waiting to be a real slave. The thought was almost enough to make him smile. He was like Pinocchio, wanting to be a real boy.
The smaller one, Kohii, as she claimed to be called, asked about the instruments in his room, and he smiled at her wonderment. She didn't seem like she was afraid of strangers, which was something Adam was internally battling. He had been shy for as long as he could remeber, and had been working to rid himself of the affliction for the past few years. "I sing, too, but it's been a long time. I'm not really allowed to make a lot of noise in here. As for what I can do, well, I can do a lot of things. I like to take pictures, I can cook, dance, do magic tricks, and I'm great at Twister." He sent a wink Theana's way at his last comment. He never missed the chance to tell people how flexible he was. Not only did it sometimes influence their thoughts, but there weren't exactly a whole horde of men who could do the splits without hurting themselves.
At the sound of Theana speaking, he found her voice soothing. "It's no problem at all, really. I'm a bit impatient myself when I'm excited about something, and I'm always here by myself, so the change of pace is nice." In the form of a habit, his hand rubbed the back of his neck as he spoke. Adam drew his eyes to the circling shark, watching as she moved around one side of him to the other, and disappeared behind him, only to reappear in the same spot again. If he didn't know better, he would think she was sizing him up. She was very forward with her next statement, before nearly being scolded for her question. He honestly didn't mind, but if the two decided they liked him, then he would have to get used to what Theana decided was disrespectful.
"I would love to leave this room, at least. Even the hall way sounds good after being here for a year. But whether I go home with you is entirely up to you two ladies. If I could say something about it, I would say that I don't see why I wouldn't like to go home with the two of you, so long as you don't mind having a dog in the house." He had been sneaky, answering the question Theana hadn't agreed with. Maybe if she understood that he didn't see the things she did, she would loosen up a bit and have some fun. After all, dogs were very playful.☾

x x x x x x ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── Hearing him answer the question she had thought might bother him, Theana smiled a bit again. He seemed all right with Kohii and the tsukumogami certainly seemed to like him. Kohii had a much better instinct than her mistress when it came to people and Theana was pleased to have found someone who seemed to fit with them so easily. At his remark about a dog, she glanced back down at the papers in her hand, Adam's on top. Ah, a barghest. In truth, she hadn't even paid much attention to his species, as that was honestly a secondary concern. She had never met one before and peered at him with interest of her own. The suggestion about Twister went right over the homunculus' head and she certainly didn't have any thoughts regarding how flexible he was. All it meant to her was that he could play with Kohii and keep her company. The female put Kohii first and often neglected her own needs for company and companionship, save for the little coffee pot spirit. It was easier.
The tsukumogami giggled. "I like pets! Thea has cats, do you mind cats? They're very nice and they like to play outside a lot," she told him, hoping he didn't mind cats. She really wanted to bring him home. He was nice and seemed to like Thea. Some people thought her odd and acted like they were scared of her, even though Theana was the nicest person she'd ever met in her life. "You can't chase them, though, Theana will get upset if you scare her cats," Kohii continued solemnly, as if warning him. That brought a short laugh from the homunculus who was sitting and watching the proceedings. She shook her head a bit in amusement, relaxing just a touch.
She found it surprising he was here for a whole year. He didn't seem the sort to be easily ignored. "Kohii is a tsukumogami - she's the spirit of a coffee pot," Theana explained, knowing that would serve as a reason as to why the girl was so hyper pretty much all of the time. "It's just the two of us in a very large house and I was hoping to find someone who could keep her company while I'm busy. You can do as you like, I have a few servants for chores and don't need anyone for housework. And you can have as much freedom as you like as well, I don't plan on keeping anyone bound to my estate if they don't want to be," Theana added.
Kohii pouted a bit at that. "Well, yeah, of course! But you want to stay with us, right? We can have a lot of fun, we take the car lots of places and go to the city and visit places! You'll have a lot of fun!" she wheedled, obviously hoping he wasn't going to say he wanted to leave. "So, do you want to come home with us? I like him, can he come home with us?" the spirit demanded, looking over at her mistress. Theana just smiled, shrugging slightly with her hands spread out.
"If Adam wants to come home with us, that's fine with me," she said agreeably, laughing slightly when Kohii perked up. The girl ran over to her mistress and rummaged through her purse, grabbing her wallet and running from the room. Theana stood and straightened herself out, flicking some hair over her shoulder. "And she'll be going to pay for you, so I'm afraid you have very little choice in the matter now," she told him, glancing up at him in amusement. "If you like, we can bring anything you want with you, or we can get you new things." It was obvious she was awkward talking to someone without Kohii there to take the brunt of conversation.

![User Image]() Adam Osterson ☽At the mention of cats, Adam straightened his posture and his smile faltered for a brief second. 'Cats, huh? Not only will I have to live with them, but I can't chase them. Oh boy.' Maybe he would just put cat n** somewhere he didn't go often, and the cats would stay on that side of the house, away from him. Cats to him were like spiders to little girls. He didn't like them, and they had never seemed all that friendly, either. If he was truly lucky, he could at least go without one trying to get love from him. He could tolerate the things if they didn't touch him.
Learning that Kohii was a spirit of a coffee pot was enough to make him silently apologize to every coffee pot he had ever owned, just in case they had spirits, too. "Have you tried giving her decaf?" He knew the joke was a bit dry, but how else was he supposed to respond to news like that? Thinking about it, if she had been human, Kohii might not be who she was now. It was strange to think about, but Adam owed a lot of who he was to the beast. But if Kohii was a coffee pot spirit, then what was Theana? Adam wanted to get close and sniff her to see if her scent rang any bells, but it was weird when a dog did it, and just plain creepy when a man did.
Theana had come looking for a friend for Kohii, nothing more. He was about to say something when Kohii caught his attention, asking what he wanted to do. He hadn't found anything bothersome about the two other than the cats, which he could deal with. Adam smiled to let her know that he was on board with the idea, watching her run off. As soon as she did, he turned to Theana and questioned how to phrase what he wanted to say. "My belongings are no problem, I can have someone here to pick them up shortly and bring them to your home, if I can get use of a phone. An old friend of mine, actually." He looped his thumb through his belt loop, and questioningly cocked a brow at her. "If I'm wrong, feel free to act as if I said nothing, but it looks to me like you're in need of someone more than Kohii is." ☾

x x x x x x ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── The homunculus looked at him in surprise when he turned and said that she needed someone more than Kohii. "Kohii is the reason I am here," she told him with a slight shrug. That wasn't a lie, just not quite telling the truth. And she didn't plan on telling him what she was and have him look at her in disgust and horror as well. "She said I was depressed and needed to 'bring home another friend'." A dry laugh accompanied her words and she looked a bit...frustrated, or dissatisfied, almost. "It's impossible for me to say no to Kohii, though, so after some begging I decided it wouldn't hurt for her to have someone around when I'm working or busy. I feel bad, having her alone in the house. And the cats won't bother you," she added, some amusement creeping into her tone as she glanced up at him. There, that settled the issue of who needed who, at least in her mind. He could play with Kohii and amuse himself. Her own fear, her weariness, of being looked at like a monster made it nearly impossible for the homunculus to admit she was lonely.
"I suppose it's fine for us to go down and meet Kohii, I'm sure she's already in the lobby paying," Theana told him. "Of course you can use a phone - I'll get you one and put you on our plan, so you can keep in touch easier. Anything you want, just let me know." She waved her hand a bit dismissively, as if saying that was nothing, before leading him out of the room. She returned the papers to the guard as he led them to the elevator, clearly not needing them. There was no reason to find someone else. "There are shops here we can go to if you want things, or you can use the computer at home to order what you want," Theana told him, as they headed down in the small contraption. She never liked them and looked a bit anxious, a quiet sigh escaping her as they settled on the main floor. Almost one of relief.
Kohii ran over to them happily as they reached the lobby. "Can we go shopping? Adam needs things, right?" she asked hopefully, clearly wanting to go and explore the new place in the city. Theana patted her gently on the head as she nodded to the girl at the desk and took her wallet back from the spirit. "We can walk, right? It isn't that far!" she exclaimed.
Laughing a bit, it was clear Theana had a gentler side for the spirit as they walked out of the hotel. "Kohii, it's up to Adam. And no puppy eyes, either," she added in amusement.

ஆ I felt the darkness as it tried to pull me down, The kind of dark that haunts a hundred year old house, I wrestle with my thoughts I shook the hand of doubt, Running from my past I'm praying feet don't fail me now! ஆ
☽~☾ Kyo ☽~☾ Kyoya had never considered getting a slave before because he had never wanted one. He was a lone cat, someone that didn't hang around others much and one that killed for a living. It wasn't the best way to start off with someone, even if Kyo really didn't know the proper way to be with people. He had lost touch with his humanity long again and most of the things that came out of his mouth were either murderous or sexual. Upon arriving at the Hôtel des Esclaves, Kyo had no idea on what to expect. He had heard along the grapevine that this was the place to go if you were looking for a slave and that their selections were one of the finest. If Kyo had lived closer to the Hôtel, he would have taken the slave home that night. His flight was not until two days from now so he was stuck here and he had to purchase a slave.
Kyo shook the thoughts running around in his head and assumed his half human form. His ears swiveled as they picked up noises and his tail swished behind him. Heading to the counter, he flirted with the receptionists while he filled out the paperwork before following a bellboy. Finally, he was escorted to the room of a slave. He had lost track of where he was in the Hôtel and he wasn't even sure what slave he was seeing. Looking down at the piece of paper in his hand, Kyo read the information quickly before shoving it in his pocket and heading into the room. Watch out Delmar or this kitty with eat you up.
Kyo slid into the room quietly and stuck to the shadows, virtually disappearing. He wanted to watch Delmar first and see what she did before he presented himself. Being an assassin, it was easy to hide and he was a master at disappearing in the shadows. Kyo grinned slyly and watched as a woman with red hair was brushing it out. He had arrived at the perfect moment because the silk robe she wore was loose and her skin was damp. She must have just showered and her back was to Kyo as he watched from the shadows. His eyes roamed over the exposed skin of her back, but sadly everything that he would want to see was covered. Only her shoulder blades and a little below were exposed and Kyo knew that if he moved to a different spot, he would be able to see more but that meant exposing himself. After a few moments of deliberation, Kyo stepped out of the shadows. "You look very lovely this evening. I'm sorry to have interrupted your night, but I was curious about you. My name is Kyoya, but you may call me Kyo." Kyo bowed gracefully, his tight clothes showing off his lean body. His pants were loose enough to be comfortable, but they still allowed one to marvel at his muscles. Kyo stood up and looked at Delmar with his golden eyes, wondering what she would do. Out. Of. ![User Image]() ![User Image]() ![User Image]() ▷ Walking to the hotel had been its own experience in and of itself. Orion was convinced they had not walked up the right road, and Iain thought they hadn't gone far enough. The two considered splitting up, so that Orion could check if they had passed it, but instead, the sweater clad twin stayed with Iain. They had both stayed relatively quiet during the walk, and Iain was wishing they had brought the car so they didn't have to walk, but they had left it in the street, outside the candy shop, where he had bought the bag of candy he was now eating from. He offered to buy Orion something, but he had said no. Of course it was simply Orion's way of saying 'why do I need my own bag of candy, when I have yours?' Sometimes, such a thing made Iain angry, but he had been sure to buy a huge bag, so that even the new member or members, as Orion had not shut up about having two other people in the house, so that both brothers may be kept company, could have some of his candy.
Upon reaching the hotel, both brothers stopped to look at the outside. Orion was in awe that something so beautiful could be the front for creature trafficking. Iain was rolling his eyes at the thing. "Well, I guess someone has money. Kind of hard to ignore it when they wave enough Franklins in your face." He was being a bit of a teenager in the way that he saw things, but he really wasn't one for people flashing their money about in public. Sure, the boys lived in a nice house, but they had started out renting it, and when the owner finally passed, they quickly bought it, which allowed others to think they were renting from the new owners. Iain's car was a little flashy, but not as much as Orion's, who had made it clear that he really didn't mind having lots of money. The thought had made him sick, but he just blamed it on the candy he ate and opened the door for Orion, choosing not to be a complete savage.
"Oh, hello. May I help you?" The petite blonde at the front desk quickly became Iain's target. She didn't stand a chance to the gorgeous selkie male. "Yes, you may. Why don't you tell me what time you get off work, and I'm sure we can both help each other out. I'm more than willing to lend a hand to whatever you need, miss." He leaned over the counter, his face close, as he drew his fingers across the underside of her chin, watching her cheeks turn crimson in color. However, he was quickly pulled by the back of his sweatshirt and shoved into a seat. "Oh, someone's a little jealous, aren't we, Orion?"
Orion shot him a look as if to tell him to shut up, and quit being such a handful. How his brother could keep going like he did was a talent he didn't think he could posses. There was last night, and the attack this morning, and then the flight attendant. If he hadn't been there to force his brother away from the poor desk woman, then there would have been another thing his brother could do to occupy his time. "Hello, yes there is something you can help us with. We're here for," He put his hand to the side of his mouth, and glanced around before leaning closer to the woman and whispering. "a slave." Once he had said what he needed, he quickly straightened his back, and resumed his normal stance. If anything was suspicious, it wasn't the man in the corner of the lobby, but rather the young twin with a feather boa around his neck and snow globe in his hand, whispering something to the front desk attendant. It was strange to think that someone trying to be inconspicuous was really only making himself a suspicious character.
"Oh, yes. Don't worry about a thing, Sweety. Just fill this out, and here's one for your brother, and when you're done, I'll type it in the computer, and print you off a list of possible matches." She gave him a sweet smile that almost made Orion blush. Instead, he quickly looked over at his brother and realized she had been smiling at the doof who was winking, and licking his lips. Orion simply rolled his eyes and handed one of the clipboards to his brother, watching him check all the wrong boxes. "Give me that. I'm filling yours out for you. Do you want someone well behaved or would you like to be killed in your sleep?" Orion smiled at the thought, before pulling the form away as his brother tried to snatch it back. "Give it back, Orion. Now." Orion shook his head and was met by himself on the floor, with Iain on top of him, trying to wrestle the clipboard away from him. "No, you'll put a serial killer in our house! No! Get off of me!" Orion ripped the paper off the board and waved it above his head, dodging Iain's grabby hands. "Give it to me.""No!"
Iain pretended to let up and let his brother do as he wished, but as soon as the other boy began to trust he wouldn't do anything, Iain snatched the paper from his hand and ran to the other side of the lobby. Orion gave up, deciding that the form didn't necessarily decide the slave's personality down to a T. He hoped there was at least a chance that the front desk clerk would use his form, and only make a few minor adjustments to create his brothers. He sat back down in the seat and started answering all the questions. It was kind of like taking a test, but you didn't have to have the correct answer. It was nice. Iain, on the other hand, felt as if they were asking too personal of questions, and so when the question about their home life came up, he filled the box with his phone number and a wink face. If the woman really wanted to know the answer, he could take her home and at least show her what goes on in his bedroom. ◁

Ðelmar The past six months had been some of the most boring ones in her life. Even living under the waves had been exciting, something always to look at, to find and explore. Here there was just this room and nothing else and it made her want to try jumping out the window, if it had been able to be opened. As it was, the mermaid was stuck here and not very happy about it. There was little to do, she read a bit, took long baths, and just felt overall lazy the rest of the time. Only a few people came in to see her during that time and none of them - obviously - had taken her home. Why they hadn't, she didn't know and didn't particularly care, either. She hadn't much liked them, so it was a relief that they had left her. She'd take boredom over having some stuffy rich person bring her home like a pet or decoration any day.
Sometimes she thought of the reason she had legs, what had caused it all, and quickly shoved it from her thoughts before she got too mopey about it. It didn't matter anymore, she reasoned. It was foolish for her to think someone could have fallen in love with her and now she was paying the price - quite literally, as it was. So Delmar had given up on love completely, convincing herself it was just for fools and idiots. That was what she had been, after all. Right now she just wanted to have some fun, do things other than sit around this stupid room and look pretty for the nonexistent people who would come to look at her. There was no reason anyway, she could probably prance around naked and they'd take her home sooner, she thought with a snicker. She'd been tempted to do just that, but hadn't wanted someone to complain and throw her into the basement rooms. Then she'd really lose her mind.
The mermaid had been soaking in the bath again that evening. Everyone came during the day, and everyone announced their presence with a knock or some sort of greeting. So she wasn't worried about anyone showing up. It didn't matter how long she stayed in anyway, her skin never wrinkled. She was a mermaid, it would be stupid if it did. Playing with the bubbles a bit, Delmar hummed to herself, her hair pinned up off her neck as she soaked. Once she was done lounging around in the tub as she so often did, Delmar got up and didn't bother drying off. She preferred to have her skin damp, or at least slick with lotion or something, instead of dry like humans liked. So she slipped on a silk robe instead that clung to her figure as she left the room, sitting in front of a vanity as she brushed her hair out. The robe was hanging off her shoulders a bit, not that she cared, and she had no idea anyone was in the room.
Hearing a voice, her eyes widened and she turned in her seat towards the source. Seeing a...was he a neko, or just a shifter, she wondered. Either way, seeing him was a shock, but the mermaid made no effort to cover herself. The robe draped even lower in the front, but no one had ever accused her of being modest. She looked him over slowly as he spoke, obviously sizing him up, and a faint smirk appeared on her lips. "Well, you certainly know how to make an entrance," she remarked, getting to her feet gracefully and walking closer to him, her hips swaying. "My name is Delmar," she added, though she was sure he already knew that. Still, common courtesy.

ஆ I felt the darkness as it tried to pull me down, The kind of dark that haunts a hundred year old house, I wrestle with my thoughts I shook the hand of doubt, Running from my past I'm praying feet don't fail me now! ஆ
☽~☾ Kyo ☽~☾ Kyoya looked at Delmar and he could smell the faint smell of fish and it brought a sly smile to his lips. Licking his lips, Kyo reached his hand out and gently slid his fingertips over Delmar's jawline before bringing his hand back to his side. "You look good enough to eat. I wonder if you taste like fish." Kyo had lifted her chin up and gotten closer with each word until his lips were just inches from Delmar's. He smirked and then pulled away, looking her up and down to fully appreciate her body. She was lean and athletic like he was which meant she probably had stamina. Since Kyo was a very hands on type of person, he was just itching to touch Delmar and get to know every inch of her. He had been notified of the no intimacy policy with the slaves and it bothered him, especially now that he had such a beautiful woman in front of him. The silk robe clung to her form and her damp skin was so inviting that it was hard to control himself, but Kyo was an assassin and discipline was a priority. He had already taken note of the entire room and the way that Delmar acted. He could tell that she wasn't modest which was perfect because he wasn't either. He took every opportunity to show off, but he wasn't at that point yet. He had learned to reign in his cockyness to a point.
Kyo's left ear twitched and he listened to the guard breathing in the hallway for a moment before he turned his attention back to Delmar. He had been silent for a minute and he didn't want things to get awkward. Clearing his throat, Kyo reached out and ran his fingertips over her right jawline and tilted her head up slightly so that he was looking into her eyes. "What would you do if I purchase you?" Kyo was curious as to what her answer would be and he wanted to get to know her more. He had all night anyways and he was sure that she was the one for him. He wasn't exactly sure why he thought that, but his instinct told him to buy her. Something was pulling him to her and he wasn't sure if it was because of her looks or her smell, but he wasn't one to ignore his instincts. Kyo would buy her, no matter what her answer was.Out. Of. Ðelmar The look she met his own with as his fingertips slid over her skin was a challenging one. It was clear that she wasn't meek and gentle and looking to please a master. Rather, she considered herself his equal, even if she was a slave and he the master. Whatever sort of reaction she would get from him, she didn't know and didn't much care, either. It was simply what she was and if he didn't like it, well, he knew where the door was. There was no reaction to his touch, no maidenly blush or shiver, and she simply tilted her chin up a bit to meet his gaze. Her eyebrow quirked up a bit at his words, unable to figure out if that was innuendo or literal. Whatever the case was, Delmar acted completely unimpressed by him, even if she was examining every inch of his body and wondering what work he did to have a figure like that. She had no problem with a handsome man, she supposed.
Delmar was still as he spoke. He was close enough her skin barely brushed against his chest and she made no motion to move away. She was as aware of the rules as he, but that didn't mean she couldn't have some fun without breaking them. There was no effort made to break the silence that fell between them, her gaze flicking up to his ear when it twitched slightly like that. She was curious what it felt like - was it soft fur? Course and rough? Silky? As he tilted her head up again, her eyes met his and a small smirk slid on her lips at the question.
"It depends what you want me to do," she replied, in a tone that was closer to a purr than anything else. "If you want me to cook and clean, then you are going to be a very disappointed man. However, if you want me to sit around and look pretty, I think I can manage that. I'll wear as much or as little as I feel like, if you have a problem with a lack of modesty than you'd best leave me here," the mermaid continued teasingly. She was testing him out as well, curious what he would do or say to her words. Most people stammered and sputtered and blushed, before quickly leaving. Would he? She didn't think so, but it wouldn't hurt to see. The mermaid had no idea he was going to buy her no matter what she said and was enjoying the chance to fluster someone.
Deciding not to make things so easy for him, the mermaid pulled away from his fingers and moved over to the vanity again to finish brushing out her hair. Not that it needed it, long and silky as it was, but she was well aware of how low the robe draped when she moved her arms just so to brush some hair over her shoulder. It was easy to pretend she had no idea what she was doing, turning her back to him once more after a few moments.
