Though since there was nothing to focus on any longer his body was starting to wear down, the feeling of exhaustion dragging on his muscles, his back feeling achy and in pain. This was all starting to get to him now, he felt like his arms were going to make him fall over and his eye lids felt like they weighed a ton. Body slowly starting to slouch forward some as he started to look dead, it was becoming more and more clear that he was getting to the brink of going into a sleep coma. Silver eyes started to get dull and hazy as he watched her, black edges started to creep up on his eyes. A small yawn built up into his lungs but he managed to suppress it, something he had to learn to do when hunting due to the noise it made and how waiting made him tired. He would blink and look up at her as she would suddenly speak up, reassuring him that nothing was wrong. He would smile a bit absently as his mind started to shut down, he would jerk himself up in a fast movement closing his eyes and then forcing them open, "Gotta stay awake, gotta stay awake, gotta stay awake." he'd chant to himself quietly, he was bad at handling this type of thing.
Standing up and just staring at the ceiling now, he was trying to keep himself awake this time, he needed to hear her answer, then pass out on the nearest thing, hell the floor sounded perfect for him right now. When she had spoken up he looked at her, joy clear on his face, "Great! I'm sure you'll enjoy living with me- or maybe not...I might get annoying...I mean like...eh I dunno! I have a feeling you might dislike me later cause I'm kinda stupid." he'd mumble looking slightly insecure, "But but I'm sure you'll love where we live. Its out deep in the forest- we live between two other warring tribes, but we keep them from going to war with each other. Then we live near the base of the mountain, and a lake isn't too far away, it's really pretty to look at during the night- generally in the winter. You'll know why when it gets to around that time. The summers are pretty amazing too." he'd rattle on a little bit, he loved his home dearly, it was a nice place to be in, "I think you'll like the kids too- do you like kids? I mean...I'd understand if you don't..." he'd mumble looking a little sullen at the thought of her disliking kids.
All of this was a lot to take in for him, all the speculations and all the new people she'll meet, everything would go quite nicely he was sure, she would definitely love it there. The views and the woods were all amazing, and the clean air- oh the clean air was just great, though the bugs could be lived without at times, it was still worth it. Then he started to worry a bit, he would have to go hunting on occasion or go to a meeting with the ambassadors and chiefs of the other two tribes and those sometimes took days, even if they were only a day or two away. He rubbed his head wondering if she would be able to settle in okay in the first place, she might not like log cabins, or the lack of heating, well other then the fire pits around the house, all made of stone and kept the rooms very warm. The only real modern things they had were kitchens and bathrooms, because they were more hygenic as compared to storing things in the snow and outdoors. He scratched his head and wondered how the girl would adjust to all of that, it really did make him worry terribly.

x x x x x x x x x x ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── Now he was babbling again, but Asten didn't mind. At least he was interesting and she had to smile when he said she'd get annoyed with him, or dislike him. Tribes...and mountains, and a - a lake, he'd said a lake, a lake. Her eyes widened slightly and she had to swallow a squeak of excitement. It had been years since she'd been in a lake and the promise of being able to dive in with her feathers was almost too much to bear. Asten knew she should tell him what she was, but...she was too afraid now that he'd panic and throw her back, refuse to take her. So she just hoped for the best and that he wouldn't bring her all the way back once he found out. He talked about the lake at night in winter, and then kids. She was never very comfortable with kids, although she liked them fine. It was more of a problem that she didn't know how to relate to them, was always worried she was going to hurt them. But like them? She didn't mind them, as long as they didn't pull on her tail feathers and act like she was some feathered pony. That had happened once and it had gone very poorly indeed.
Before Asten could really respond to much of anything, he'd flopped over and was snoring. "Umm...um, Liam, are you..." She trailed off and shook her head, realizing he was dead asleep. How, she wasn't quite sure, since it was the floor, but Asten was going to be the one to wake him up. So she padded over to her bed and grabbed up a pillow, carefully getting it underneath his head. He didn't wake up at all, or even stir, and she shook her head in amusement. Maybe this was what his brother meant when he said Liam had to get someone to take care of him? It was possible, he seemed the sort to go until he dropped, if this was any indication. Sighing, Asten crouched next to him for a moment before getting up and going back over to a small couch near the window. Suddenly, the view didn't look so bad, now that she knew she wasn't going to be seeing it for very much longer.
A maid came in a little later and started at seeing a man on the floor, but as they were both closed and he was snoring, it was apparently all right and Asten wasn't punished. Instead she got her breakfast and the girl returned with extra for the customer, for when he woke up, before leaving her alone. The swan had more of an appetite this morning than she had in years and polished off her plate happily, appreciating how good it was since it didn't taste like ash in her mouth from worry. Humming a bit to herself, she returned to her book, the covered tray on a table for when Liam came out of his apparent coma. How someone slept so soundly after someone almost tripped over them, she didn't know and was vaguely impressed by it, to be honest. Was he always like this? If he was, that wasn't such a bad thing. It would mean things would be interesting, that's all.
It was an hour or so until noon when he finally woke up and Asten looked up from her book with a small smile. "I hope you're feeling better," she greeted him, gesturing with her elbow to the table. "There's food if you're hungry...what am I supposed to call you? Master? Liam?" she asked, realizing she hadn't a clue and wanting to settle that right now. It was awkward enough trying to figure it out, asking a simple question made it much easier on both of them, she reasoned. If there had been any packing to do, she would have done it. As it was, she just had the clothes on her back and nothing else, so she'd spent her morning reading and thinking on what her life might be like now.

He wasn't aware of anything other then the catacombs of sleeping and his subconscious, he was sitting back home wearing just his tank top and pants with his sash around his waist. He was chewing on the end of a pipe that he used to smoke out of when the herbs grew in the fall, no it wasn't tobacco it was a special type of plant that smelled similar to a flower of some sort. His brother Nue sitting next to him, Led and Kamui were in the other tribes making friends and keeping peace as usual, he was just sitting and relaxing, a normal thing. Then his brother kicked him in the side, he grumbled a bit in complaint at the faint feeling that didn't bug him all that much. He would go back to relaxing and chewing on the end of his pipe, the dream itself didn't change, he was generally simple minded as he has been told many times, intricate dreams were practically impossible for him so this dream is fairly relaxing and mind numbing for the male.
Eyes would slowly peer open as he would feel refreshed, he needed a proper twelve hours of sleep later but for now this would do, his body ached as he would sit up blinking away his sleep. He would look up to see Asten sitting down and reading a book, he would blink and smile slightly looking a bit embarrassed for passing out so suddenly, "Yeah, sorry bout that." he'd mumble as she would point to a table that had a tray of food on it, he would easily grab for it and start munching on it smiling lightly as he would just eat. He'd only look to her when she asked about what to call him, he would chew for a second contemplating it, "Whatever you feel like, I don't really care. I'll answer to "hey" if it came to it." he'd say cheerfully, "Well um, I think I'll be good to go on sleeping and good for another day or two. If you're already to go we can get going right now." he'd state getting up and putting the tray back. His arms stretched up over his head, his lanky form getting a nice stretch in as he would look to her an excited smile on his face, "I really hate planes...the faster we get through it though the happier I'll be I guess ya know?" he'd say retaining his happy smile. Bouncing a bit as he would hype himself up he would look to the door and knock on it, he didn't really wait for Asten's answer, he still needed to pay for her even if she didn't want to leave at that exact moment.
The sound of footsteps echoed down the hall and he would put his arms behind his head humming a little and bobbing his head from side to side until the door clicked open, "Yo! I'd like to uh...buy her?" he'd question looking at the guard. He'd nod and look to Asten giving a sharp nod as if signaling her to get moving, Liam blinked at the guard for making that kind of gesture. The tribesman looked back to her and smile, "Sorry I didn't wait for any answer, I thought they wouldn't make ya follow me out." he'd mumble apologetically rubbing the back of his neck lightly as he felt bit guilty about doing that to her.

x x x x x x x x x x ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── It was nice that he said she could call him whatever she wanted to. He seemed very easy-going and relaxed, which only helped the swan relax in turn. She was feeling a bit like her old self with the prospect of going somewhere nice and being with normal people. It was something she hadn't had in a long time and a small smile lingered on the corners of her lips, as she wasn't quite able to shake them off just yet. Asten was excited, plain and simple, an emotion that she hadn't felt in years. It was odd for her and she wasn't sure how to express it, so settled on just not at all for now, lest she annoy the man. Although, he seemed to think he would be the annoyance, so...perhaps he wouldn't mind her too much. Hopefully.
As he stood up and stretched, she watched him, realizing just how much bigger he was than her. Normally that would frighten her, even if she was tougher than the average human it was instinct to fear whatever was phsyically imposing compared to her - which was most things. But he didn't intimidate her at all and she got to her feet as well, having tucked her legs underneath her in the chair. Somehow she stood up without anything tangling. A grimace marred her happy expression at the mention of planes, but that wasn't enough to bring her down. "I don't like them much either," the swan told him sheepishly. She'd much rather fly under her own power, after all. She had to giggle a bit at him, bouncing and humming like a kid, and wondered if he was always in such a good mood. She hoped so, since he seemed to be rubbing off on her, and it was nice to be around someone so happy.
Brushing her hair from her face when the guard arrived and nodded at her, Asten put her book down and shook her head at Liam. She kept close to his side, looking around curiously as they walked down the hall. She'd been blindfolded when she was brought here and didn't realize how luxurious the place really was. "It's okay, I want to go," she assured him, glancing up at him with a small smile before returning to inspecting the shinies around them. She was also keeping close so no one could accuse her of trying to run away and then do who-knew-what to her. It just seemed safer to stick near him for now. Tugging at her collar briefly, Asten wondered if he'd take it off once they were out of here. She hated wearing it, it itched and was tight enough to grate on her nerves. That, and she couldn't shift in it, either.

He would walk casually next to the guard with Asten at his side, he wouldn't mind her there, it was kind of comforting, like having his brother at his side whenever he went to visit the borders and left Nue in charge. It was like anxiety before a battle being eased before it was confronted, a very nice feeling. She would look to her as she would mention that she wanted to go and he would merely smile at that, "I think you'll really love where I live. Though I don't live with anyone besides my brother now. He can be a little uh, stand offish, but hes a guy that'll do what he thinks is best ya know? You might get to meet my other brothers Led and Kamui, we all look kinda the same, my brother has more tribal stuff, like his hair is blond and done kinda like them mohawks....and my other two brothers have their hair dyed according to the other two tribes, purple and red. Hehe, I get to do whatever I want...so I decided on being blue." he'd say with a smile looking down at her. He liked to talk about his heritage and some of the things they did, though most practices were worn out and not done anymore others were celebrated.
"We have factions in the area....the one closest to the east has all the ranches and farms, the northren faction deals with mining cause they are closer to the mountains and there is a cave system near by that leads to it too. Then the westren faction is generally where we make food, and where we live all the families generally live and then move out again, kinda like a trading area. Families will move in and out, but you always see them again ya know? I can introduce you around to everyone if you like." he'd say with a smile. He'd like to show her everything, but he wasn't going to take her on any hunting trips, he wasn't sure how women would react to hunting, well city women anyways. The girls he lived with are trained to hunt and use arrows, and not to kill unless they needed it, a very old tradition was to catch the towns meal at the age of six or eight, and share it with everyone. Something they all enjoyed doing, the place was very family oriented as far as anything, he would smile brightly as he would be lead to the front desk. He would pull out a small brown satchel and dump out a few gold nuggets since he didn't possess regular cash. The woman at the front desk stared at it in awe, "I hope that'll do. Those got appraised for $xxxxxxxxx." he'd say with a light smile before looking back to her, "Off to the dreaded plane ride..." he'd mumble looking reluctant to go.

x x x x x x x x x x ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── Asten would have found it amusing, if she'd known he thought her presence 'comforting'. Most would have deemed it annoying, bothersome, troublesome, irritating - and that was when she was herself, bouncy and hyper and always sticking her beak into something she really shouldn't. Now she was more used to being called things like 'useless', though she didn't think she would be that where they were going. She could take care of him, she told herself, even if she had to bully him a little bit. Maybe he thought a slave wouldn't do that, but she'd at least try. If it meant getting to stay where he was telling her about - with a lake - the girl would do just about anything, she was so desperate for the sort of freedom he was promising her. Listening to him talk about hair colors and tribes, she tipped her head in that gesture again, trying to sort it all out in her head. Maybe it would make more sense once she was there, the swan reasoned to herself. Lots of things didn't make sense just hearing about it. Or maybe she was just trying to make herself feel better about going to a strange place where she had no idea what life was like, or even what the people were like. He'd said something about being a chief - what would they think about him buying a slave? Was that normal for them?
At the mention of being shown around and introduced to everyone, she both brightened up and got a bit more nervous. While the swan was certainly a people-person, she hoped he didn't plan on just throwing her into a crowd and expecting it to go well. She got so nervous when people were looking at her, except when she was singing. Then she didn't care how many people were there. "It sounds really nice. Like everyone's one big family, sort of," Asten ventured to say, looking up at him with a smile before her eyes flicked to the gold nuggets he dropped onto the counter. The golden orbs echoed the sheen of the gold and widened as she realized he was paying with those for her. There was no possible way she was worth that much. It just wasn't...possible. A bit stunned, Asten looked back up to him when he said it was time for the plane ride. Grimacing a bit, she looked about as eager as he was to go. "Well, it's best to just get it over with, I guess," she said with a sigh. Part of her wondered what she was going to do for clothing - not even having a toothbrush - but she didn't want to seem demanding. It would get all sorted out, she knew.
They just had to get through a plane ride.

╔════════════════════════════════════╗ Sunlight falls onto his eyes, but he don’t stir or turn. Messages on the answer phone, but none will be returned. Monday morning, lousy morning, what a day to see. In the evening I will hear it on the BBC.╚════════════════════════════════════╝ xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx ╔════════════════════════════════════╗ They make the boys go wild: My black and purple layered shirt with faded blue jeans and black suede boots.
Back off, I'll take you on: Suspicious, irritable and impatient.
Be the ears to my words: Bellboy, Guard, and then... I wonder?
Over and Over they Converse: Sorry for taking so long and for the crappy post. I hope that it's enough to go on. If not, tell me and I'll edit it. ╚════════════════════════════════════╝ Well, the hotel had one thing going for it at least. It was big and complicated from the looks of it and as the wolf's yellow eyes took in the sights outside her candy apple red Saleen S7, she gazed up at the tall building suspiciously. It wasn't the fact that she was suspicious of the people inside, but... Well, she was. Faust was suspicious of just about everyone except her dearest friend Sin, who was the only one so far, other than her boss, who had gained her loyalty. Taking in a deep breath, the woman moved forward away from her vehicle and toward the hotel to do what she had come to do. Better to just get it over with and get home before Sin threw a fit about her being late. Her shirt was one of her favorites, a gift of sorts from one of her 'friends' of sorts, though the pair of demons were more like frenemies. A pair of faded blue jeans hugged her hips and revealed her long, lean legs while a pair of black suede boots held her feet from the ground. Before entering the establishment, she removed her dark sunglasses, placing them atop her head for safe keeping so that she didn't misplace them. Upon entering the hotel, she wasn't shocked or impressed by the beauty of the lobby and she approached the desk where she was met by a smiling woman behind the counter. Faust didn't smile back, but wasn't rude or anything, her face was just blank as she waited for the woman to get the application. Once it was presented to her, the quick witted wolf filled out the form and gave it back. After a few minutes of waiting, she was given a list of people, half of which she'd already crossed off just due to what they were. She wasn't prejudice, but she really didn't like a few of the species on the list, having had to go up against a few of them in her line of work. And she really didn't feel like getting into a pissing match with a bunch of egotistical assholes as soon as she got home. Turning her wolfish eyes toward the bellboy who smiled almost too hard at her, probably due to the predatory look in her yellow stare, she followed the younger male to wherever they were going. Faust cared not where they were headed, her eyes only taking in the exits. Every window to escape through and every door with the word 'EXIT' above it in bright red lights. It was just the wolf being what she was. As the bellboy led her toward a man she assumed was the guard and was handed off by the bellboy before he made his escape. Turning that yellow gaze to the guard, she gave a wolfish, predatory grin before she handed the man her list and pointed to the first slave that she hadn't crossed off her list. Three rooms later, the lycanthrope was getting irritable and that wasn't a very good sign for any shopping trip. Soft growls were released every now and again as the guard led her to the next and the last room on her list. Faust wasn't looking forward to going home empty handed either. Later on, she'd have to send Sinopa back to this place to find someone to protect her before the lycan left on yet another mission. The guard stopped at a door and turned toward it slowly before unlocking the room and letting her enter the doorway with a gesture of his arm. Sauntering into the room, Faust's golden orbs took in the room as she had all the others until she was satisfied that nothing was going to jump out of her that she couldn't handle. ╔════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗
I won’t let you turn around and tell me now I’m much too proud to walk away from something when it’s dead. Do your dirty words come out to play when you are heard, there’s certain things that should be left unsaid. Tick tick tick on the watch and life’s too short for me to stop. Oh baby, your time is running out. Been there, done that, messed around. I’m having fun don’t put me down. I’ll never let you sweep me off my feet
And this time, baby, I'll be bulletproof.

|| Where: Hotel Room | With: Faust | Mood: Curious || It was another quiet day for him, he wasn't needed nearly as much as he was before, generally his jobs were quick since he was good at what he did, not much of a serial killer though considering it was impossible to trace an ever changing pattern. Back against the side of the window, he was merely staring at a blank wall bored out of his mind, he really didn't have anything to do in here other then eat and sleep. Rubbing his arms lightly he would feel the hard muscle under the skin, it felt close to metal, not giving away and pressing down like it would if he were a normal human, but they were more like rocks. He'd crushed someones windpipe prior to being sold, he didn't really mean to kill them, just suffocate them until they passed out, it was an unfortunate accident. Rubbing over his arm lightly he would glance up as he heard heels clicking as well as the sound of the guards boots, that wasn't all too surprising. They were entering and exiting room after room, something that was fairly familiar to him, he would merely ignore it knowing that no one generally needed him if they were here during the day time.
Standing up his tall form would slouch a bit, back aching from sitting in that position for so long, he would stretch back with his arms up, feeling all the knots pull out and the free flow of blood running through the muscles. Letting out a grateful moan he would let himself relax back into a normal standing position. Adjusting the cloth around his neck as it sat backwards to show his collar, he would look fairly tame with the way he was now, so no one generally minded the charms secured into the piece of leather. It didn't really match with his attire, his normal black shirt and his white slack styled pants, his military boots pushing up the cuffs at the ankles as he would walk towards the bed only to hear footsteps approaching his door and then stopping. Eyes narrowed into slits as he would glare at the door, hearing the mechanics of the lock being unlatched and then a lone visitor stepping into the room. He stared at the green haired woman as he would cross his arms over his chest, "That's rare. Someone like you needs me to kill someone?" he questioned his Irish accent rolling off his words fairly thick, he had been here a long time but his accent had yet to wear off in the years, some didn't seem to mind it all that much though. Others tended to welcome it.
Ashton was fairly skeptical about the girl, after all most women wanted an old boyfriend or a cheating husband or god knows what type of man to be killed, but seeing a high class woman such as her was a bit different. The guard had already closed the door and he stared behind her as if he could see through the door, the shadow that didn't leave marked the fact that the man was still there, not to mention he was leaning against the door by the sound of the wood creaking a tiny bit against the weight. Ashton cracked his neck, "Then again, you visited...what...three rooms ahead of mine, so...maybe not just not a mercenary hm?" he'd say some what thoughtfully eyeing her as he would someone who may be a potential threat. An evaluation he generally did of anyone who came in to see what he could do to please them and where he really didn't have to, she was a bit more difficult since her appearance kind of only gave away her status as someone with money to spend. Possibly someone with a vendetta against someone else, or hell maybe she was looking for a pet to tame but wasn't all too difficult. Green eyes opened a bit wider as he relaxed after a moment, she wasn't all that intimidating in his eyes, but he didn't really know any better, he'd never smelled lycanthrope or well any real mythical beasts that he could define properly. The other slaves had many scents but that didn't mean he was able to recognize them without a proper name.

Be the ears to my words:
Over and Over they Converse: ╚════════════════════════════════════╝ The lycanthrope simply stood there as the man in the room glared at her as she entered the room and crossed his arms over his chest. When the door behind her, she looked for other escape routes for her to utilize, but could find nothing other than the window, but when he spoke to her, Faust's eyes returned to the man before she shook her head. "If I needed someone killed, I'd do it myself. I've probably had more training in that field than you, not to mention I'd want it to be something personal if I took a vendetta against someone." She replied to him, her voice blank of emotions, she didn't seem to be affected by his rather attractive accent, even if inside, the wolf in her head was practically purring at the sound of the accent. If one looked closely, they could tell that she was uncomfortable in the environment by the way she switched her weight from one foot to the other and then back again. Again, her wolfish eyes moved around the room to make sure that nothing had changed as she once more listened to the males voice in front of her before returning her predatory stare back to him. "No. I'm not. As you can probably tell, I am not that intimidating... I've had many issues with men assuming so and according to my other companion, I need a body guard of sorts to accompany me on my... jobs." She informed him, her own arms crossing just under her breasts, though it meant little. Her build was lean and athletic, not exactly leaving much room for large breasts, her form somewhat lacking in the curve department. Though she noticed the way he eyed her as a threat and she smirked slightly at that. It took a killer to be suspicious of everyone, and she should know. But after a moment, he relaxed and her smile only widened to make her lips curve upward. "However, being too relaxed in another's presence unless you know them is an issue. You are taking me at face value as well and that is... Not of much importance at the moment." Faust said with a shake of her head and glanced down at the small, golden watch on her wrist and let out a deep sigh. Sinopa was going to be pissed off that she was late, again... And to deal with all that whining as soon as she got home was something that the lycan was not looking forward to. After a few minutes or two, she returned her eyes to the man. "Are you interested or not? I really need to get home before the child has an aneurism." She said, referring to her other companion, though not much younger than herself, as a child because of her personality. Faust wasn't going to hear the end of this until she left for her next mission, she just knew it.
And this time, baby, I'll be bulletproof.

x x Courage isn't having the strength to go on ~ ~ it is going on when you don't have strength. ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── This place - it was beautiful.
And it terrified her.
Heels clicking softly on the terracotta tile that wound around the luxurious pool to the door, the Hôtel des Esclaves loomed high above her, just as her golem did. Though where he was warm and friendly and close, the building was cold and cruel and distant. She shuddered, picking up on tendrils of emotions through the wards around the place, and shook her head. Loneliness, regret, fear, anger, hate, self-loathing, desperation, apathy...and the occasional delight. It was most likely a master finding a slave, but she preferred to think that it was a slave finding a master. Consoling herself with that thought, the nephilim paused at the doors and looked up as she felt a hand on her shoulder.
"We do what is necessary, my lady," he said quietly, looking down from his height of almost seven feet at her with a gentle smile that belied his strength. Letting out a breath, the young woman nodded. This place was a safe place, ward everywhere, so strong not even her mother could have broken them. No kobolds would be here, or would be able to trace her here. It was why they had come here, out of the many places they could have gone that were closer to their current residence. They would find someone tonight and stay the night. Tomorrow they'd have to leave the safety of the Hôtel and return to the penthouse they were staying in a day's flight away. To plan? There was no plan. To bide their time, to wait, to move and hide like she had been doing for what felt like so, so long now.
With another pat to his mistress' shoulder, Eysteinn gently nudged her through the doors. There was the soft chatter of people in the lobby, though it was far from crowded, a pleasant-faced receptionist greeting them as they walked to the front desk. Rayen was given a clipboard with a sheet of paper to fill out, much to her surprise. Well, this was all a surprise, she'd never done this before. Lowering herself onto one of the pristine white seats, her golem standing behind her like a constant guard, the scratch of the pen tip against the paper was deafening to her. The soothing noises of other creatures was drowned out and she watched her hand move as if of its own accord. The nephilim hated the idea of purchasing someone - Eysteinn had bullied her into it and now that she was actually doing it, she felt a bit numb. Once she was finished and the paper handed back, it took a few minutes for the receptionist to print out...four papers? It was explained to her that they were all slaves that matched what she was looking for and she was under no obligation to purchase the first one, or even any, of them that she saw. Nodding, Rayen decided to just work from the one on top and was led down to a wing of the hotel by a bell-boy. There a guard met them, silent and stone-faced.
The turn of phrase was a bit funny, all things considered,
The first was a vampire and not at all to her liking, despite the papers matching. There was just something...there. Perhaps it was simply dark and light clashing. Retreating from the room after perhaps five minutes, Rayen took her time to look through the sheets this time, not wanting another such encounter. Eysteinn looked over her shoulder curiously, skimming them for his own objectives, and pointed out one. "Let's see him," he said, showing the paper to the guard before his mistress could object. Rayen just sighed as the guard nodded, leading them down the hall to another door in the same block. He went to open it and the golem 'tsk'ed, shaking his head. "Manners, we must have manners. First impressions and all that. We'll be fine," he assured the man. The guard nodded and strode off, back to patrolling the halls. Looking down at the nephilim, Eysteinn patted her head gently. "It will be fine," he whispered to her softly. Giving her a reassuring smile, he waited until he got the briefest twitch of her lips back before knocking a few times on the door, more than enough to wake anyone sleeping or alert anyone in the shower. After giving the person inside a minute, Eysteinn opened the door for his mistress, a sober look on his face.
Walking just a few steps into the room, heels now quiet on the plush carpet, Rayen tried for a smile and ended up with what looked like a nervous tic. "Hello...my name is Rayen," she said shyly, as the golem nudged her further inside so he could shut the door behind them. "This is Eysteinn...he's a golem," she explained, as most people were unnerved by the male behind her.

And if you ever find the time......You know I'm not far behind. And if you ever need someone... .•´¯`•.••.•´¯`•.••.•´¯`•.••.•´¯`•.•• Another perfect day.
Okay. Not.
If one defined "perfect" as "absolutely nothing to do but sit in various spots around the room", then it could work. For Broddi, though, not so much. The lack of alcohol in the "residents" meal times were driving him up the wall. Granted, he never drank much in the first place--but an actual alcoholic would have probably completed the 12-Step program at this rate. He could not complain too much. They didn't pamper him to death and yet they didn't ignore him to the point of death. They were just well-adjusted prisoners one could say.
Well, except for this one.
Broddi had been in this hotel for close to six months and the staff always knew when his--Turning? His Moody Times? Whatever folks called it, they knew. They always escorted him--and others similar--they their own cells in an annex underground. Luckily, not much damage is done as those walls were of steel line with silver; doing more damage to the fellow brethren rather than to anything else. However, it is obviously not today. Today, was a bit different than any other day.
Hanging upside down from his bed--would have been easier if there were bars installed from the ceiling, but the Executives of the Hotel denied the request--working on the daily routine, something his uncle would have been rather put off if he ever missed just one day, Broddi heard the faint clacking of footsteps and rather a broody kind of stomp and yet the stomp was so subtle. He would not be surprised at all if it was for either one of his forever unknown neighbors; but lo and behold. It was his door where the rapping came from. "Hold your horses!" Figuring it would be one of the securities to make their weekly rounds or that damned psychologist with a special guest, Broddi flipped over to do a rounded tumble off the bed. Reaching over to grab the towel that was on his bed, he used it to wipe any of the sweat away from his face and arms...and uh, his bare chest. It was not too hairy...but it was most certainly not sleeky-smooth like any stereo-typical male model would have. Instead, light golden-brown hair peeked outwards to make his chest seem a bit more tan-coloured than the rest of his lightly-sun-kissed skin.
Wrapping the towel around his neck like a collar of a shirt, he did not give permission for anyone to enter--but that is one of the major flaws about this Hotel; they never give one much time to set anything up. Possibly something that might have to do with making sure no one was plotting anything. Hey. Broddi may be a jerk from time to time, but he was an honest man. His uncle raised him right. It was not one of the securities, though, that came in. Instead, a young-looking woman. The man's nose twitched a bit; realizing she was not Human...well, not all the way. Something else, though, he could most certainly not figure out completely. Downside for kind of being on the run prior to being escorted to the Hotel--he took his senses for granted and therefore never explored the different scents of life and death. Looking up to the towering man briefly, apparently her bodyguard, before looking back to the young woman. It seemed she meant business--or probably another psychologist--which is most certainly different than the resident of the room being half naked and just in jeans. Well, if she was in fact a new psychologist, at least this one would be more pretty to look at rather than a gargoyle...literally.
When the young woman introduced herself and her golem--which made much more sense now why he was silently lingering about--the young man gave a lazy man's salute with just two fingers rather than a full hand before dropping his down to grasp onto the ends of the towel around his neck. "Broddi. Lovely to meet you two." Oh, he knew this was his first meeting of anyone while residing here who did not work here. And if she was not a psychologist, then maybe...? "Let me guess. You are looking for a dude to be your eye-candy?" He placed the tip of a pointer finger on the tip of his nose out of curiosity before using the same hand to gesture towards Eysteinn. "I would suggest knight in shining armor without the armor, but you have Big Man behind ya." .•´¯`•.••.•´¯`•.••.•´¯`•.••.•´¯`•.•• ...I'll still be waiting.

x x Courage isn't having the strength to go on ~ ~ it is going on when you don't have strength. ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── While Rayen hadn't paid much attention to the paper her golem had found, the male most assuredly had. He'd never met a werewolf before, as his masters had never had contact with any, and was curious if this one was going to be like stories he had heard of. Famous for their tempers, brutes, rude, etc. Although, so far, he seemed to be living up to the 'no manners' bit as Rayen went bright red at his question. The golem grumbled a bit unhappily and rested a hand on her shoulder before she could run out the door. A point in the man's favor wa that he wasn't staring at her scar, nor had he so rudely asked about it like the vampire had. Even though his mistress did her best to hide it with her hair, that only drew more attention to it, as he'd patiently tried to explain, but to no avail. The scar was a physical reminder of everything that had happened and she just wanted it to go away.
Letting out a breath and clearly embarrassed, Rayen shook her head emphatically. "N-no, that isn't it at all!" she protested, glancing at the man for a quick moment before looking back down at the floor. Caught so off-guard, she wasn't able to sense a thing from him, only her own embarrassment and confusion. She looked up at the golem in mute appeal and he nodded, opening the door for her. The young woman stepped out into the hallway, shutting the door behind her, leaving the golem to speak with the werewolf while she composed herself. Shrugging a little, the male nodded to a chair and walked over, dropping down into it. He didn't get tired or anything like that, but had grown used to acting more normal for his mistress' sake.
"You were more correct your second guess," Eysteinn told him in faint amusement. "A golem can do many things, but I cannot act outside my mistress' orders. If she is injured, or taken, and I do not have explicit orders...I am helpless. We have done our best to counteract such 'safeguards' for a golem, but under the circumstances I believe it is imperative we find someone who can act of his volition if need be." If Broddi had been expecting someone stupid, or slow, he would be sorely mistaken as the golem's bright eyes rested on him. "I am also not flesh and blood, though I may look it. My mistress...Rayen, she needs someone like her. Someone less...squishy." He spread his hands out, at loss for a better word, and shrugged again. "Her family was destroyed by kobolds and we have been forced to relocate quite often, trying to find support to dispose of the pests. It's a rather unique situation and someone more adaptable than I would be a great asset." What the golem didn't add was that he wanted someone who could bring his mistress out of her funk, make her the girl he used to know again.
Letting him think on that, Eysteinn got to his feet and nodded to him before going to the door. He opened it, smiling down at his mistress as she came back in and was guided to the seat the golem had previously taken. Crossing her legs at the ankle and moving them to the side a bit, out of habit, Rayen looked over at the werewolf sheepishly. "I'm sure Eysteinn already explained to you his reasoning of why we're here," the young woman said softly, her voice gentle. "If you don't think you would be happy, then I will go talk to someone else, it isn't a problem. I'm not going to force you to go with me." That would defeat the entire purpose of finding someone who would be loyal, after all.
