Moving along the shelves Roland made his way to the end of the nearest one raising Sylvia up like a strange lantern. The faint glow of her runes bouncing around the room dimly.

Going from one end to another wasn't going to do him any good. By the time he walked each and every aisle the portal would have come and gone and he'd be stuck here for whatever day crew ran this place to find him. Picking up the pace he moved for the middle of the shelves holding Sylvia high in the hopes she would get a better signal. Much like a cell phone.
Turns out he was right.
<< Wait, stop, it's stronger here in the middle. It's odd though I can't place where it is dead on. >>

Roland was quick to follow Sylvia's suggestion, moving to the next shelf holding her before him like a strange lantern on a stick. It was only one row of shelves but already he could feel Sylvia's frustration and disappointment.

It wasn't a very far walk, he past the middle of the room again moving to a shelf the same distance as the last one in the other direction. The only change for him was a slight bit of scenery. The boxes had different shapes, but he couldn't make out any markings that would indicate which one was the right one.

< I figured if we checked the opposite of what we just did the results might be better >
The weapon let out a defeated sigh, it was sound logic, but it didn't help.
<< Maybe it really is just in the very dead middle of the room and that's why the signal was so strong at the start? Just go back already! >>
Now it was Ro's turn to sigh, Sylvia was right, getting up he made his way back to the center of the room hoping for better results.

Back in the middle of the shelves Roland started to waved Sylvia past each box slowly on one side then the other. He was barely halfway when a box on the top shelf caught both their attention. Weapon and now hunter when near by could feel the FEAR from the artifact. Or maybe Roland was feeling what Sylvia felt? The feedback loop was annoying to sort out, but they both knew one thing.
They found it.

He moved the scythe past the box in question slowly feeling the pulse inside his mind as Sylvia checked each part of whatever it was they where about to take.
<< Some are bigger and give a stronger signal, others are small, and they all project in different directions. That's why the signal was so odd at first. >>
< That's lovely but now I need to move this thing and its huge and heavy and... > He put Sylvia down, which caused her to squeak in confusion as he rolled a cart closer.

It wasn't long but it was awkward this much was very true. With part of the case on his shoulder he crouched down letting the rest slide off the shelf catching it in his hands before stumbling towards the cart, laying the mass down on the top with a heavy sigh.
< What the hell did Aria have me pick up? It weighs a ton... >
<< No time no time! We need to go! Get back to the portal! >>
Roland looked up, he looked left, then right, and frowned.
<< s**t, I need to figure out the way back now too. >>
Sylvia groaned in agony as she was placed atop the box the faint glow of her runes lighting they way as Roland turned the whole cart around.

It was going slow to say the least, he'd taken the map laying it out flat on the box pinning it with Sylvia's end. He had a rough idea of what room they where in and started to back track his way through the maze of halls when a series of doors caught his eye.
< Sylvia we can cut through here. >

Roland only shrugged as he popped the door before tugging the cart through a series of small side rooms. He didn't bother to inspect them closely but he found himself just a bit closer then planned to the exit.

The hall ways where looking familiar.
He wasn't sure how he had gotten back so quickly, all he knew is that the warning of being left behind for a few days had lit a fire under him to make sure he caught that portal. Thus far it seemed he would do just fine.
The only problem was he was early now, very early. He reached into his pocket squeezing his cell phone debating his next move. If he called it in early they could likely pull him out now, but what if that caused more problems?
It didn't matter, he tugged open the last door rolling the car into the same room he started in. Sylvia's faint glow indicating it was indeed the same room with the same terrible magazines plastered with Justin Beibers face.

A minute passed before the portal opened, allowing Ro to come back without waiting for time to expire. Before he had fully crossed over something lightly flicked over him. "Is this legit?" Aria frowned as she stared at the runic time keeper, passing it over to the hunter next to her to examine. After a confirmation, Aria shook her head before sliding the stopwatch into her pocket. "Well, congratulations. You passed. Or will pass, once you return that cart. Garnet, grab the other end will you?" The huntress next to Aria nodded, moving to the other side of the cart. The two lifted it up and out of the cart without any fanfare. Now that it was in a lit room, Ro could see that the box itself was one of those build-it-yourself desks from Ikea. ... Really?Another portal was opened as the two hunters set the box on its side. Garnet pushed, and soon disappeared into the portal with the box. "Here you go. You've earned it." Aria said as she presented Ro with his coat. "No lockpicks for you, but hey. That's something to go talk to Candace about. Remember to put the cart back!" With a lazy wave Aria stepped backwards into the portal Garnet stepped into, vanishing as well. Miliardo Kason - Congrats Ro! You are not an intermediate trainee!

He hadn't even finished rolling the cart through the portal when Aria frisked the watch from him. It was indeed legit, Roland had wasted no time. He had retrieved the artifact just as he was ordered and....
He looked down at the box properly now as the Mist leader and another hunter discussed his time. It was a desk. From Ikea. Even the cart, was from Ikea. Turning towards the two hunters he simply blinked as a coat was presented too him.
"I.... I had a small set they where uh, not that great." He blinked again staring at the desk as it was rolled away before looking down at the coat in his arms. It had pockets. Lots of pockets actually. Again Roland looked up as Aria waved good bye offering a one handed wave of his own before hip bumping the cart back through the portal he had entered in.
Jacket in hand he only shrugged before heading off to his dorms to see how it fit.
...and lament not stealing a chair to replace the crummy ones Trainee's where given.
