 Snorting quietly Mikasi let one eye flick open, annoyance clear. That such a thing would even be suggested truly offended the male. Though he understood Gabriel's reasoning, it still annoyed him. "I do..I love her and will not be leaving. No matter what anyone says or does..where Astraea is..I will also be." The words had a note of finality to them. Mikasi had finally realized his feelings and, did not want anyone else. No mare would ever catch his eye again..just the thought of it made his heart ache. If he could not have the mare he'd probably wish for death..she completed a part of him he hadn't even known about. "She is my everything." Sighing softly he stretched his body and, unhappily tore out a mouthful of grass. Mikasi'Nell was ninety percent of the time a carnivorous stallion..the rest of the time he ate berries, roots, seeds and nuts. Grass he only consumed when it was an emergency..which would be clear to anyone. His nose crinkled but, his teeth continued to grind the cursed green substance. "Grass is just as disgusting as I remembered."

Gabriel listened to the younger stallion finding it slightly amusing that he enraged him so much to where he began eating grass. Giving a snort, he flicked his tail and decided to take a bit of a rest, so he lowered himself to the ground and looked over to the stallion. "If she is your everything then you better act like it. You will have to be there for her and you must realize that you will be involved in my crazy family. I highly doubt she will leave, so I wouldn't bother trying. If you can handle that well...then your a good match for her." He gave a roll of his shoulders as he watched him try to eat grass only adding more to the amusement. "If you don't like grass that much then don't eat it. Wait until she comes back with your food." He scoffed at him for being impatient.
"What is your view on children?" He asked wondering what the other would say only because he knew Astraea was a little fickle when it came to them. She didn't hate them but she didn't love them either. "I personally don't like them and can't believe I had a batch of my own. I see my son more then any of them and he is the one I get along with least." He snorted at the irony of that statement. "I just want you to know that I do accept you as part of the family, but if you hurt her... I can promise that you will have 4 angry stallions hunting you down." He told the other feeling a bit of anger hit him from that statement. "She needs to grow on her own and make her own choices, but there is nothing wrong with looking out for family. Maybe one day I can even call you family.." He told the other before looking around the forest for any signs of the mare. "Have you told her yet?" He asked peeking over to Mikasi.

Mikasi sniffed a bit, silently raging as he tore up another mouthful of grass. "It's fine. I need my strength..no matter how disgusting this grass is. I do act like it..she is the only mare in my eyes." Oh yes he'd had a small taste of the crazy already..that wouldn't scare him off. His old herd had, had it's share of crazier members. "Eating also keeps me calm. Thats why I take my time when I hunt, unless there's a pressing matter." The question of children made the stallion pause, claws gliding over the earth..leaving small grooves behind. "Children are alright. I enjoy them as my father does..but, if she wishes to have none I would accept it." Though the thought of miniature Astraea's with tiny claws, paws or wolf tails made something within the stallion flutter. "I'd sooner take my own life than ever see her unhappy or hurt." Unsure if he should lie..Mikasi grumbled into the grass..blowing at a few pieces. "Sort of. She will know when the time is right..I still need to get a special gift."

The large stallion kept his eye on Mikasi. It wasn't that he didn't trust him he just didn't really trust anyone. It was built into him and he was really cautious around everyone. "She better be the only mare in your eyes. it will only mean trouble for you if she is hurt in any way." He told him shifting slightly feeling a little agitated before rising to his feet again looking at the woods wondering if she was going to return anytime soon. He didn't want to leave Mikasi like this for too long. "Children are joys and I hope you will take care of them well if you do have some. I don't know what Astraea would do if one of her children hated her or completely vanished. She would probably be broken." He told the other as he began to wander a good distance away from him keeping his eyes peeled on the environment around him.
"If your willing to sacrifice yourself for her then you should let her know how you feel. You don't want to keep something like that hidden. It could only do you harm in the long run." He told him in a serious tone which only made him think of Schiz. He never told him how much he actually liked being stalked and being his pet. He found it a little strange, but then again he was a strange stallion. "I have a stallion that I have grew quite fond of..but I don't even know how to tell him. I'm too prideful so I don't know what to do about it." He shrugged thinking it was time to change the subject before he said something else that was stupid. "A special gift?" He shook his head eying the stars.
"Don't you see that she is the special gift? Her and her brother were both gifts. Something that seemed impossible was made possible for my cousin Hania, her father. She doesn't know where she came from, but all she knows is that she is special. You don't need to give her something. Just let her know how special she really is to you..she is your special gift." He told him feeling himself getting too mushy for his own good. "And this is where I leave you before I turn into a mare or something.." he huffed walking a little more away from him. "She will be back soon. I will make sure the area is safe until she returns." He gave his word as he wandered off into the darkness.

As they 'parted' ways Gabriel left the younger stallion with much to think about. Perhaps he would tell the mare but, not now. No Mikasi still wanted to do it right and, make it romantic. A journey away from this place to let her see new things with him..to be near one another in a more intimate setting. Smiling softly the stallion relaxed, feeling oddly closer to Gabriel. Perhaps it wouldn't be so bad getting to know the rest of Astraea's herd. A bit of time passed before Rain flittered near the males head, chirping a greeting.

The young mare wandered back to Mikasi with her small muzzle full of berries. She had a lot of help from Rain which was good because she couldn't carry them all by herself. When she walked close enough to see Mikasi, she smiled and dropped the berries down on the ground close enough to where he didn't have to move much to reach them. She then noticed the flattened grass off to the side making him wonder if something came by, but she didn't bother to ask. "Me and Rain came baring some food for you." She smiled resting down beside him. It felt so comfortable being there with him so close. "Eat up so you can regain your strength. I don't want you hurting anymore." She told him gently nuzzling the side of his neck. "Are you feeling any better?" She asked him looking to Rain thinking she should at least offer thanks to the bird helping her. "Thank you Rain for helping me. You are such a lovely friend to him...to us both." She didn't know whether or not to say that, but she did anyway. It wasn't a lie and she felt a closeness to the bird.

Smiling happily up at the two, he hungrily ate as the mare spoke. Only speaking once every berry had vanished. It would do for now. "Thank you lovely ladies..I feel much better. Especially now that you are by my side again." Rain puffed up and looked as proud as a peacock. Mikasi could only laugh, even though it hurt a bit "Silly bird..she has a bigger head than anyone I know." Turning a bit he gave Astraea a soft nuzzle, feeling so at ease and warm. "Tell me...once I heal..would you like to go on a trip with me? There's supposedly a beach..just a few days journey from here. We should go..if..if you want." For a moment he felt like a colt telling a childhood filly he liked her.

The young mare looked to Mikasi attentively with his question flooding her ears. She had never been to the beach before and it was something that excited her a lot. She then wondered why he wanted to go to the beach. What would there be to see there? What kind of adventure would it be? "I..." She paused feeling her heart flutter at the expectation of seeing something so amazing and something new. "I will go with you. I want to know what a beach is and what it is used for." She told him feeling a little nervous now because she didn't know what to expect. "Once your rested up we will go and have some fun at the beach.." She said to him giving him a soft smile. She now could wait for this little adventure wondering why he would pick the beach all of a sudden.
