She watched the struggle on his face, and let it war in silence for a while before she said, "We could get by without you, you know," even Left, and it would probably be good for him, perhaps, "as long as you eventually return. Don't mistake my meaning - surely you are our prince. But it behoves a prince to journey, and come back fit for one-day-king."Jun D Anytime, bby, I love your plotses... <3

"I am no prince," the buck laughed, but the seed had been planted and he glanced thoughtfully into the distance. A journey and story to tell when he returned. It set a fire in his belly he had never felt before. So he looked back at Forlorn, smiled his own secret smile and said, "let me show you something."Jun D This would be funnier if you could receive your own quote notices. xD Also I think this could lead to that time skip soon, I'm pretty sure you can't mistake that last line, derp.

* * * * * * * The first few days to weeks, she merely wondered if he would actually leave. Then, as she slowly felt the changes, she came to wonder other things. Then, she stopped wondering these things, because she knew.
"I thought not to tell you," was what she said, when she asked him again, one night, to walk, "till I was sure. And now I am."
Ruriska *TYPES IT OUT THIS TIME* DERP I AM DUMB. Also, Killing Moon is smooth haha

When The Killing Moon thought back to their brief time together, it was not the moment of need that he dwelt on but instead the permission she had given him to leave. While he had yet to take that step, he felt the longing in his bones and knew it wouldn't be long. "Tell me what?" He inquired, his attention clearly elsewhere as they walked side by side. Jun D get ready for your heart to stop KM you gonna be a daddy

"I think there're three," she said flatly, "maybe four, but likely three. And, trust me, they're yours."

He nearly asked 'three of what?' before it suddenly hit him and his expression went blank in response to the sudden rush of sheer panic. A single tryst. His only one, to be quite honest, and this was the result. "You're pregnant."He said it as a statement, but there was still an underlying hope that she would laugh and say 'no, we got some new chickens for you, surprise!'. Jun D I didn't realise he'd react this way until now, but he is legitimately terrified by the news.

For some time, she just stared at him, watching the terror unfold on his face. Then the line of her mouth, neat and still, quirked, just a little - and then she could not keep the smile off. The laugh, she forced back out of respect. She hadn't quite thought that The Killing Moon could be so much out of his depth.
"You needn't be so horrified. Not a lot will change. They may be yours, but the family will spoil them the same whatever you choose to do. You are already our prince, and, as ever, you will be. Think of it as bolstering the tribe, if that helps."Ruriska Poor Killing Moon. NANANANANA

The idea of offspring had crossed his mind a number of times, but he had never truly entertained the possibility. He would have been content never having children of his own, but now it was done and he would love them no less, despite his initial distress. "Father will be happy," he said, smiling wryly at her own amusement. The princely veil settled on him again as he studied her. "Do you feel well?"

"I daresay he will be. And I feel hardly different. Just...heavier. ...And I'm getting strange cravings for sour food," she added with a look of distaste, "but I suppose there's no better place to be at for that."
"That's all, really," she nodded amiably, ready to return, "you took it quite well, all things considered. Thank you."
"And, to be honest," she appended, brief distraction crossing her face, "that journey of yours would not be remiss. I can think of one who probably won't take it as well as you did, and absence makes the heart grow fonder. And forgiving."Ruriska Forlorn is definitely a bit cruel...

"It is a surprise, but I would hardly run from the news." Even if he was already fitting his journey plans into the oncoming fatherhood. As long as he saw them born, surely they would not miss him during their childhood. He shifted his head, hair slipping forward along his cheek and just for a moment his gaze grew sharp and his tone cold, "I don't know what you're talking about." Then a smile washed it away and he turned around to lead them back home, "shall we tell the family now or later?"Jun D He 'aint havin' none 'o that. *finger snap!*

This time, she tried to hide the smile. Ah, princeling.
"Oh, you would know better for that," she said, mildly surprised at his question, as their steps took them back towards the bustle that was hearth and home, familiar and yet always alien for those who watched outside in, "on my side, I doubt my mother nor brother would be stirred. Nor your mother, perhaps. It's Fade, Fell, and your father, really. I'm sure they would appreciate the news but - actually. No. I've changed my mind. Do me this favour and keep it quiet till I am showing and have no choice but to let Fade regale me of homilies from her labour. Please."Ruriska Boys boys ...Are we...done or almost done? O8

"Very well, we shall wait."He was quietly relieved. It would give him time enough to decide if he should personally tell Left of the news first and to gather enough courage to do so. Jun D *slams a big old 'DONE!' down!* 8D
